Long Time No See!

 Hello!

I sure hope this finds you all well? Sorry I've not been around for a while but you know how it's been.

I have been crafting just didn't load up here for some reason. Think it was due to the fact that a lot of places you choose to share your makes and join in with challenges were either not even bothering to acknowledge your post or the same people were winning all the challenges.  So I threw in the towel for a while.

I have an Instagram account and can be found here Sue Crease (@paperpleasures) • Instagram photos and videos

I do hope to start again in the New Year with a more positive frame of mind. I'll be happy to just share.

Happy 4th July!

Hello!
Well its been ages since I've been on here last and posted something. Hope you are all well and getting through this dreadful time with the support of family and friends?

Today I'd like to wish all my family and friends a Happy 4th July. I haven't made any cards to send this year but yesterday I did have time to play and made this cute little tag.

I've used some odd papers I've found whilst cleaning out my craftroom (lets face it there's been alot of that going on right, cleaning) which showed fun summer themes. Along with this adorable Magnolia image.

I coloured her using my alcohol pens, which I must say I need to get back in to using! I used my trusty flag banner from Verve Stamps & Dies along with a sun and a little fussy cutting of the lolly ices and ribbon to finish.

Here's a little close up of the sentiment and you can see the ice-creams too.

Thanks for stopping by today I hope you like what you see and maybe say Hi below.

Happy to be back joining in at the following challenges

Love Sue.

The sun will shine again!

Hello,

I hope you’re all keeping well in both mind and spirt in these very difficult times? Again I am happy to say my family and I are all well.

Today I’d like to share a card I have made to send to the lovely team who are looking after my mum in her care home in sunny Llandudno. They are doing a wonderful job looking after all the residents who have been on total lockdown for weeks now which means me and my two sisters are unable to visit with her.

I just wanted to show we care for them and all they are doing. Keep Safe everyone and I hope you get some family time this Easter.

Here is the card

I made a 5x8 card blank and used both sides of a sheet of paper Pion Design paper from swedishhousecrafts  distressing the edges first. The stamp to make the sentiment is by colourific.co.uk and is called sun-will-rise-clear-stamp-set.

I have teamed it with flowers I have made using foamiran using LadyE dies. A couple of gems on top and bottom corners of the top layer have completed the card.

Thanks for stopping by today, I do hope you like what you see a may like to leave a word or two. Take care and catch up with you soon.

Vintage Christmas card

Hello and I hope this finds you all well.

I have been keeping myself busy in the craft room of late trying to improve my flower making skills using foamiran.

Today I have a card to share with you on which I have placed 2 of my poinsettia flowers I made yesterday. I have used white and baby pink, on both I have added touches of pink ink to the edges and pearl stamens in the centre.

The papers are from Bobunny and I have added silver glitter leaves and flourishes along with cheesecloth and extra glitter around the frame. The pink snowflakes and the sentiment are from a Justrite stamp set embossed using white powder. Plenty lift on the card using foam behind.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you like what you see and if so leave a word or two. Take care in these uncertain times and keep your distance by  staying home.

Hello,

I hope you're all keeping well in these very difficult times. Myself and family are all well at this moment thank goodness and long may it last.

It seems I can't keep out of my craft room in the afternoon which I must say I have no complaints about!!  So here are my makes to share with you today.

I have used papers from my stash on these two shaped cards which I have made for my cousins in the USA I should have hand delivered these but my trip was postponed!

The sentiment is a Verve stamp and to it I've added paper flowers, lace, twine and little egg cut with stackable dies. I've also added a cute bunny to each card too.

Thanks for popping over today, I will be joining in at the following channel sites

Repeat Stamping

Hi, today I’d like to share a quick card inspired by Lulucardmaking.Repeat-stamping-technique
I have used stamps by Julie Hickey on this first card. I’ve lifted the coloured ones on foam pads after colouring with my Promarkers

Here’s another try with stamps by Verve.

I’ve kept this one flat but also happy to have finally got out of its box my Press To Impress which was a Christmas gift.

Pop over to see what Lou shared and have ago yourself

Just For You.

Hello,

Today I'd like to share a card I have made following a sketch I've picked up from the Lemoncraft Blog. Unfortunately at this time I have none of their papers so I can't join in the challenge but I'd like to share with you all.

I have used papers from the gorgeous Dream garden collection from Scrapboys which I picked up at Merly Impressions along with a touch of Kaisercraft paper too. The doily is one from my stash which I cut down so as not to hang over the edges too much.
I made the flowers using Foamiran and dies by ladyedesign The leaf die is by Spellbinders.

I have stitched around the edge of the first layer and distressed the edges. The strip is the other side of the paper which I first added to a touch of self coloured paper and added foam to the underside for lift. Before I added the doily I placed foam under the right side to level it out. I painted a small wooden frame pink and added that centrally then I went about adding leaves and flowers to follow the sketch. I have added touches of white paint about the layout (first time I've tried this and a bit scary!) along with extra pearls.

Here is a closer look at the sketch, they put out 4 different ones 2 of which could be layouts.

Thanks for stopping by today, maybe you could leave a word or two as it's always nice to know who has called by.
I'll be sharing this card at the following challenge sites.

Happy Holidays!

Hi,

Here I am today sharing a card I have made to join in with a challenge over at Magnolia Forever Challenge over on Facebook.
The challenge is to use Kraft on your card/project and as you can see I have made the base of my card and it's layer from it. Teaming it up with a paper kit from my stash.

I have used the adorable Tilda stamp where she is dressed to keep warm. I have coloured her in using my Promarker pens and fussy cut her out laying her on a oval of peach coloured card. As you can see I have used lace and a bold fabric flower along with leaves cut from matching cardstock. I added 2 wooden snowflakes which I had embossed with blue/white powder

The shape of the card is a new die of mine which I picked up recently, I think I'll be getting it out again soon as I love it.

I will be sharing at these other lovely challenge sites too....

Happy Easter

Hello,

Well as we are all being asked to take up Social Distancing this means there maybe more time to create! So I'd like to share with you a card I have made to send this Easter.

I have chosen to use these pretty papers which all work so well together along with a little lace and pearls to finish off.

The little bunny I picked up from Hobbycraft and only £1 for about 8! I bought these egg dies just before Christmas aren't they cute.
The flowers I have made using Foamiran in 2 colours of yellow and a touch of lime green for a hint of a leaf. The lace die behind is from polkadoodles.co.uk

I hope you like what you see and maybe you'd like to leave a word or two as its always nice to see who has stopped by.

Prosecco Time!

Hello,
Well it’s been a while since I posted last but I’ve finally finished a few projects I’m allowed to share with you all.

Here is the first which was made to celebrate a fun loving ladies 60th birthday.

I have used one of my favourite stamps by All Dressed Up called Prosecco Time!  I have coloured her in using my alcohol markers after choosing my papers. The papers are from The Paper Boutique and are called Summer Blooms. I chose flowers to match from my stash.

After handing over this finished card I was asked to make it all again for another friend who will be turning a fabulous 50!

This time I decided to use this lovely bright yellow paper by Kaisercraft available at  merlyimpressions.co.uk  called boho from paisley-days-collection,  isn't it pretty? Again I coloured using alcohol markers and finished off using more flowers and dots of Nuvo drops.

I'd like to join in the challenge at alldressedupchallenges/february-challenge-102.

A card for Mum.

Hello there,

Today I'd like to share with you all a card I made for my lovely Mum this last Christmas. I had been wanting to use up lots of papers and images I've had stashed away for some time.
This card uses up papers which came in a magazine and pre-coloured images I bought in a pack a couple of years ago.

I started by cutting out a card blank using a Doobadoo shape and added another layer both having papers added. Then I fussy cut the image out and added that to another layer using foam pads. I added sparkle to the snow balls and the birds branch.

Then I made a selection of flowers using Foamiran and added them along with leaves, tiny pine cones, berries and tiny pompoms. I tucked behind the layer a star by Magnolia from the same paper as behind the image.
I added a sentiment to both top and bottom and then made a stand for it and we were done.

Thanks for stopping by today, if you like what you see please leave a comment.

Dearest Friend

Hello again,

Today I'd like to share this birthday card which is for an order. The lady is a lover of pink, music and flowers.

I have recently been following Karolina Czolba and she shared a card on YouTube recently which I thought I'd give a try at and this is what I came up with.
Here is another look but this one shows side on

and this one shows from above

I have used papers by Maja-Designs and Mintay all available from Crafteezee.co.uk other bits are from my stash. I also made flowers using Foamiran  in 2 sizes. The design by Karolina called for a stencil to be used with paste on the bottom left corner.
I was happy with the result and will share it on her Facebook page soon.  Thanks for stopping by and hopefully you will be able to leave a word or two.

A Golden Card

Hi,

Today I'd like to share with you a delicious card I have made for an order. It is to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of a lovely couple.
I have used a die I received for Christmas this past year. Along with a wonderful card layout I spotted by my friend Lou Sims . It was this card that made me get the die.
The only trouble was trying to get a good photo of it!!

The die is called  Tulip-terrace-layering-floral-frame by Tonic and also the Celebrate die is too. The stamp is by polkadoodles called every-wish-in-the-world I have just used  the sentiment which I have embossed.
I added cheesecloth, ribbon and tule under the pearl. I also added a triple headed hat pin. I have used gold mirri card not only under the main die but also to make flourishes, little hearts and leaves too.

This card is a 7x7 but around the edges there was too much empty space so I added a tiny flower which I stamped in gold. You can see it here added to the sentiment.

Here is another view of the card.  Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you like what you see? If so maybe you could leave a word or two.
I'd like to share this card in the following challenges

A Perfect Christmas!

Hi,
Today I’d love to share with you 2 almost identical cards I have made for my sisters and their families.
I’m so happy with the way they have come out. I pinned the card idea a few years back but have never had a big enough flower or star die for that matter to make them till now.

Both cards are 8x5 in cream card stock and the papers used are from Pion Designs.
The above photo shows the depth of the card which in turn had me make boxes for them to go in to as they had to be posted!

The only difference is the centre of the flower colour and the stamens

I know both my sisters loved their cards, just sorry its taken so long to share with you all. I'd like to give credit to ewiks69.blogspot.com for the pin.
I'm sharing at the following challenge sites  creativefingerschallengeblog #177

Thanks for stopping by today.
