Christmas Love.

Hi,
Here we are again looking at a card I have made for an order. I don't think I shared this one before.

As you can see it was a Christmas Card, I used a A5 card base in off white and matted a forest green on to it. Then using some red gingham paper which I have had for ages I added that but not before I ruffed up the edges. The cute image is one that came ready coloured in (I like that lol) so I mounted it on to a spellbinder shape. Then pulling in all the colours I added layers. I made some poinsettia flowers and the Merry is a Cricut cut I've had in my stash just for this occasion pairing it up with a printed sentiment. A heart doily was required by the customer so that found its way on to the front quite easily.

Thanks for stopping by today, have a fun one.

Ivory & Purple Wedding Card

Hi,
Thought I'd just share this card with you which I made for an order. I have to say it turned out quite nice even if I say so myself!!

I started off with a 8x8 cream card blank then stitched a wedding velum on to some purple card which I mounted on to the card blank with foam pads. Then using a heart embossing folder I made myself a square which was mounted on to the gingham side of a Graphic45 paper then adding a big  ribbon of ivory which I added a purple heart pin I stuck that down flat.
Then came the fun. I printed out my sentiment and die cut using two different dies. I then gathered several papers from the same collection and cut out lots of flowers mounting them and curling the edges. I cut out several leaves some as you can see in glitter card. I added a few purple gems along with glitter glue too.

Thanks for looking in today.

Easter Cards

Hello there,
Here is another Easter card I'd like to share with you. It was made for my sister-in-law and brother-in-law and uses a cute ready coloured in image.

The card is a 5x5 cream blank which I trimmed the front edge off. I matted all the papers in the same blue I put down the edge to pull it all together. I added some perfect pearls about the image and in the corners. The flowers are from my stash.

This next card is my Easter card to my sister and brother in law. It uses another image as above but this time
I used my sisters favorite colour yellow along with some blue.

I used a sketch from Verve Diva's on this along with their butterfly stamp and die.

Thanks for looking today.

#178 Thinking of You

Hi,
Well we have a new challenge over at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com and it is my turn to choose the theam for it. I have decided to ask you all to make a card/project with "Thinking of You" on it. It can be for any occassion but NOT a happy birthday. I know we always need those but every now and then we need to let someone know we are thinking of them for what ever reason so this is the time to make one for when that moment arrises.

This is a small 5x5 card base which I have added a piece of Kaisercraft " on this day" flocked paper. Then using one of the pre die cut floral strips I added that to another of the papers and covered the join with some polka dot ribbon.

I stamped and embossed some flowers from the Verve stamp set then cut them out adding a few sprigs too. The Thinking of You sentiment is a hot off the press stamp and that's gone on to another die cut image from the paper pad by Kaisercraft.

I added a couple of drops of perfect pearls to the flowers and popped down on a jaunty angle.

Now it's your turn to show someone you care and make them a card. Once made add to our link and you could be our next guest designer.

Easter Makes

Hi,
Just thought I'd share a few Easter cards I made this week. For speed I decided to use the same colour card and paper for this first two. The cross image is one I have had for a while now and I added a Verve sentiment and used another stamp and dies to cut them out.

This next is a cute little image which I picked up at a craft store last month, thankfully they came ready coloured. I used same card and paper as above along with a little Latte colour to pop the image forward. I also added some perfect pearls about her hair and dress.

This last one uses up the last of the images from the set I used in #1. I popped it on to some soft purple bling card stock, I also used some ready embossed white card which I stitched the top and bottom corners. The little leaf is a Verve stamp. The purple flowers are off a Graphic45 paper.

Thanks for stopping by today,

Special Auntie

Hello again,
Today I have decided to show you a card I have made for my Auntie who will be turning 80 today. She is a lovely kind lady a deserves a special day.

For this card which is A5 in size I took a soft cream card blank and added papers from Graphic45. I first laid down the soft purple gingham then I riped the flower paper and inked with tea dye then matted that on to peach cardstock. I cut from the paper elements and added them on top of the paper. I also added extras on to the top right corner.
Then using turquoise blue cardstock and two spellbinder dies I cut the frame. The fancy edged frame has been lifted using pinflare I added a cream card under that to push it forward, the same cream has been used to print my sentiment on. A little tea dye ink used on this and then I added a few extra elements cut from the paper.     Happy Birthday Auntie.

I am sharing this card over at eclecticellapu.blogspot.co.uk

#177 Spring Fever

Hi,
It's that time again for another bi-weekly challenge over at myshericrafts.blogspot.com and this time it is the choice of design team sister Peachy. She has asked us to make a spring time project.

I have chosen to make a couple of cards.

This first is 5x5 in size and I have used a pale blue cardstock. I added a gingham paper first, then on a smooth white I stamped the flowers, greeting and chicks. I then stamped again the flowers on to paper and cut them out adding them to the card. I coloured the chicks in using chalks which I found at the back of my cupboard, I also went around the edge with green to pull it all in.
Now that spring die cut is actually one I cut back in 2003 when I first got my Cricut machine!!!  I just knew I'd use it someday!

This second card is made from the cut off cardstock from the one above. and measures just 3x6

I have used the same stamps and papers as the one above but no die cut this time.

Now its your turn to get that "spring" into your crafting and show us what you can make, you maybe next times guest designer.

Catch you soon

I have also entered this in to the challenge over at Robyn's Fetish  #307 Easter Cards.

Dream Big

Hello,
Today I'd like to share with you a bright birthday card. I am so in need of some warm sunny weather but living here in the UK we will have to wait for a good while yet

This is a 5x7 card in super smooth white. I picked up this lovely bright double sided paper last year. So the base is one side and the top is the other, To hide the join I used a Verve die.
Then I stamped and cut out the tag and used the Verve Dream Big stamp on it. I cut out some flowers and sprightly sprigs to add interest to the base. The sweet butterfly has been coloured in using Promarkers.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Retirement Cards

Hi,
Today I'd like to share with you a couple of cards for colleagues of my husbands who are leaving their working lives behind them (lucky things).

This first one uses a Verve sketch from a wee while back. It's a 6x6 white base card then some embossed Basic Grey paper stitched on to so black is added. I cut a doily out of pink glitter paper but only used half. Then I stamped a Verve saying on to some white card which I then die cut and mounted. I used more of their stamps and dies, to add dimension everything went on pop dots.

This next one is for a guy and so I thought I'd use the pocket watch stamp.

Again I made a 6x6 white card blank. I inked the stencil of cogs using "Denim" ink on to smooth white card and then using "London Smog" I added the brick stamp, then I added the pocket watch. Once dry I mounted it on to navy card and added to the card base.
I printed out my own greeting and layered up, then I cut out another watch face which I removed the 4 dials and mounted them on to the card using pop dots.

Thanks for stopping by.
