Mothers Day in the US

Good day to all,
Over in the US they will soon be celebrating Mothers Day.

So at www.myshericrafts.com  design team member and good friend Sandy chose the theme for this 2 week period to be make a card for the mother in your life. Maybe she likes ribbons and roses or something more of a fun style.  Show us what she likes.

I chose to make this large A5 card.

I first embossed the checked back ground paper, then matted the blue flower paper on to white paper and left a small edge. I cut out using papers from the same pack 2 3x2.5 inch strips and matted those too on white. The one on the right I embossed and then heat embossed using sparkle powders.
I cut a strip of lace ribbon and so it showed up I wrapped it round some more white card first. I printed out the sentiment and used my GC to make several mats. I also cut out some flourishes one as you can see is in silver mirri . I added 5 lemon pearls as I think you may just be able to see the hint of lemon in the paper.
Thanks for stopping by today, I do hope you will continue along and see what the other design team members have made and then link up your own Mothers Day creation.

Get Well Soon

Hi There,
Over on www.mypapercrafting.com it's Digi Desserts Fridaze. I have chosen to use this image of  "rose two double" which is available to buy or win if you link up your own creation to our page.

I decided to make a easel card for this one. It is 5x5 in size. I used up some paper I have had in my stash for a long time from HOTP. The sentiment is a peel off (we all have those lol) On the roses I used a new find from Cosmic Shimmer it is clear varnish lacquer and gives a nice shine.

Please pop over there to see what all the other design team members have made.

I now design for My Sheri Crafts...

I was so pleased to be asked to join the very talented design team over at www.myshericrafts.com . My good friend Sandy has been on the team for a while back and loves it so when the call came in I jumped at the offer.

Over in the US they will be celebrating Arbor Day where they try to recycle and plant trees. So design team member Peachy decided it would be good to join in and make a card using a tree image.

As we don't do this holiday I decided to do my card as a birthday card. I stamped my image 3 times using different inks and heat embossed in clear powder. Several layers of mats including brushed gold mirri which I passed through my GC using a embossing folder and it is ready.

Now please go checkout what the other girls have made and link up your own creation.

Birthday Banner

Well here we all are again, it's Friday so that means it is time for another Digi Fridaze over at mypapercrafting.com Please pop over there and see what everyone has been up to lately. If you link up your own creation you could win a DT spot or a free digi of your choice.

For this fun birthday card I started with a 6x6 card blank. I covered with "pinwheel" from save the date collection from Kaisercraft ( I buy from merlyimpressions.co.uk) I cut two pieces from the opposite side and mounted on bling yellow. I used Accent Essentials for the flourish. The lovely Birthday Banner is one of the wonderful digi's available which I chose to colour in myself using my Promarker pens. I cut it out using a Spellbinder die and mounted it on to a bit of bling too. The banner is pop dotted up for dimension.
Thanks for looking.

Tag or ATC...

Hello again,
Well it is Thursday so that means over on www.mypapercrafting.com it is link up day for a ATC or Tag. Today we are asking you to make one with some form of metal on it.

Here I have used mount board to make my ATC and painted it using ECO friendly paint in metallic bronze. Once dried I stamped my image and then heat embossed using clear powder. I then coloured it in using my Promarkers in forest green, orange and tulip yellow.
I then stamped out using Sam Pool's ticket stamps my sentiment which again I embossed then attached using silicon glue.

This next one shows up the metalic effect much better, see what you think.

Now its your turn to make one and link it up. You could win a prize.

Tag or ATC day.

Hi,
well I haven't made one for a wee while so thought I would to go with my wedding card for a friend at work.
Over at www.mypapercrafting.com it is tag or atc day so why not join in and link up, there are prizes to be won.

This week the challenge was to use glitter. I used glitter card in purple and then after stamping the heart using dusty concord I added some glitter too. The small hearts are in shrink plastic from the main heart stamp. The sentiment is a Kaisercraft clear stamp.

Here is the card that this will go with. I had to make a box as with the flower it wouldn't go in a envelope.

Thanks for looking in today.
