The Potting Shed!

Hello,

Today I'd like to share with you a card I made my Husband for his Birthday last week. I was lucky to win some digi images from this wonderful company digistampboutique.co.uk they have a huge selection to choose from, infact I got quite spoilt for choice. As it's hard to make a card for a guy I was so chuffed to find a HUGE selection of images covering their hobbies in different styles of chaps Lol.

Here is mine using Dads-shed-Alf

Isn't he wonderful leaning on the door!  My hubby is thinking of purchasing a shed to go hide in when he wants some space Lol.
The card is my normal 6x6 bright white and on to that I have added this paper which I have been hiding in my stash for about 15 years! cause I didn't know what to do with it. It has all male terms on it in many fonts and in different directions.
I coloured the image in with my Promarkers and Copics for the face. I mounted the coloured in image on to some pear coloured card and used postage stamp scissors around the edge (hubby is a postman). I grabbed some kraft card and cut strips and inked the edges and made a similar design to the shed make-up and placed that in the center of the card adding the bling blue banner mid way.
I cut out the "perfect" and cogs and dotted those around. The Happy Birthday has two screw brads on each end and the "boys will be boys" has been added using foam pads.

Thanks for stopping by today, leave a word or two as its nice to see who came.

I'm sharing this card over at a few other challenges

JingleBelle a Christmas Bag

Hi,

Today I'd like to share with you a gift bag I made to join in with the girls over at Jinglebellesrock.

This time around we are using a photo for inspiration .   and here is what I have made to join in.

I took the orange, whites, rustic wood oh and the fluffy look of the stockings in mind when I came up with this design.
The bag I picked up at a craft store (pack of 4) and the large sentiment is from a Kaisercraft Christmas paper from last year, I matted that on to some White cardstock . Then I took some burnt orange mulberry paper from my stash (boy how old was this ??) and added that to the sentiment and then feathered the edge adding it to the bag with silicone glue for lift.
The two trees were gifted by Sandy and I thought they pulled in the tree from the photo for good measure. Then the Merry Christmas and don't open are from a set of stamps that I've had for years with no clue who they are by. I also added for good measure a few stars in bright white and orange.
So now I'll tuck this away till year end as I know who I'll be giving it to already!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Sue.

Hair Pretties!

Hello,

It's time to share my reminder project with you all for our current challenge over at Bestieschallenge.blogspot. we are a anything goes challenge so you can share anything you are currently working on as we all love to see.

This 6x6 card uses more paper I was gifted, it has roses on it and as it was a A4 sheet I fussy cut the spare ones and popped them up over the bottom ones. I added some pink sheer ribbon and olive green twine to the side and added my image which is mounted on a buttery yellow card.
The image I have used is one you could win if you join in and she is Fancy Pants sitting in Flowers I love this range as the little face reminds me of my niece. I have coloured her in using my alcohol pens and added dots of glitter glue to the flowers.

I hope you can come and join in, there are some really good images to win.

Spring is in the Air!!!

Hello Everyone,

Well it's April 1st and that means it is time to kick start a new challenge over at Bestieschallenge.blogspot. and this time we have a theme for those who like to use one and it is Spring! (we here in the U.K. can't wait for this to happen as it seems to have been a long old winter!) you don't have to use it as we are a anything goes challenge.

This time I made a shaped card and covered with this cute double sided Easter paper. As this card is for my mum it had to have a heart on it so I used a similar coloured card to that of the trim on her dress. I used my scrabble stamp and die set to spell out SPRING.
The image is coloured in using Promarker pens except for her skin which is Copics. I have also added a little cluster of flowers and leaves.

I sure hope you can come on over and share your recent makes with us as you could win a prize. Thanks for stopping by today.
I'd like to play along with these other challenges too

This card is for an order and the request was for "funny" if I can. I had seen this image used before and knew exactly which image I was to ask for. The image I have coloured in using my Promarker Pens except the face which is Copics.
