Miss Kelly Von Sweets Gift Bag

Hello,

Here I am sharing my second project for digichoosday.blogspot. as a very happy Guest Designer. As always it is a Anything Goes challenge but we DT members have been asked to add something that was not originally made for card making.

So I have used one side of a pink zipper to make a rose as well as making some of my own enamelled dots from those peg things children use to make drinks coasters etc. I'm sorry I can't recall what their actual name is!!

The paper bag is 4x6 and is in a bleached blue decking pattern. I printed off  4 of the papers from polkadoodles.co.uk/winnie-sugar-sprinkles-paper-heaven-4-bundle-printable-crafting-digital-stamp-craft-scrapbooking-download/ and matted up the bag, I cut the lace boarder and the mat for the image which is the pretty polkadoodles.co.uk/winnie-sugar-sprinkles-springtime-miss-kelly-von-sweets-printable-digital-stamp-download/  which I coloured in with my Promarker pens.
I added a dusty pink doily from my stash and I cut the awesome and some leaves from some plain yellow. I have cut from the papers two tassel's which I have tucked under the rose. The sentiment is from polkadoodles.co.uk/winnie-celebrations-2-sentiments-digi-kit-download/  I used polkadoodles.co.uk/fancy-rectangles-tabs-die-set  to cut it out and mat on to the green.
To finish off added the dots and a tiny yellow peg with a flower on it.

I do hope you can come over and play along with us all. Stop by and see what the other designer have made too.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you can leave a word or two,

Digichoosday with Polkadoodles

Hello,

Well I am so happy to post today as I am a Guest Designer over at Digichoosday.blogspot.
I couldn't be happier as I just love the products that Nikky produces. I seem to have been watching her for quite sometime now but never confident enough to try out for a chance to be one of her designers but when I saw a shout out a while ago I thought I'd try.

So here is my first project for the challenge. We have a theme to use but the challenge itself is one of anything goes with some "fab" prizes to be won.

I decided to make a tag using a 6inch chipboard shape I have been keeping in my stash for quite some time now! I first gave it a coat of cream paint by Kaisercraft.
As the theme for us is one of "Shabby Chic" I decided to use this floral paper to cover the front but not before I distressed the edges and inked using Tattered Rose Then I took a sage green doily and placed it down slightly hanging over the edge and then added some deep striped ribbon I've had for a while too. This I also hung over the edges.
Today I have chosen to use one of Nikky's pre-coloured images polkadoodles.co.uk/glass-half-full-january-coloured-craft-digi-download  I love to have these in my stash as you don't always want or have the time to colour. I just loved the colours in this too. I cut her out using Polkadoodles-fancy-rectangles-tabs-die-set and inked the edges again with Tattered Rose then I matted her up on the dot paper. I placed her down also hanging over one side.
As she has a glass with a straw I thought I'd add one too along with a collection of flowers and leaves. The sentiment is from polkadoodles.co.uk/winnie-celebrations-2-sentiments-digi-kit-download
I added a cute little button with the Eiffel Tower on it along with some gems and two types of ribbon to the top to finish off.
I do hope you can stop by and join in the fun.

Lolly Pop Lolly Pop!

Hello again!

Well it's time to share a new challenge over at lilpatchofcraftyfriends. this will run for two weeks and we have a wonderful exclusive sponsor  Fabrikafantasy.com  with us giving away to the winner 3 images of their choice.

Today I'd like to share with you something new to me.

A Lolly Pop card! I have never made one of these and have been keen to do so for months. So when I found the sticks in a cake store I knew it was time to give it a go.
I wanted to do something different and so I chose this cute little-witch-digital-stamp. which along with the image you get this adorable coloured in version too. This is ideal as not everyone likes to colour and this gives the best of both worlds. Isn't she cute?
I printed her out at 80% colour to go with my Graphic45 paper choice. I cut her out with a Spellbinder die and matted her on to black. Then I cut out 3x12 inch strips of the paper at 11/2 inch deep and punched out a scalloped dot boarder and in every dip I scored and after doing all I folded it up like a fan.
The hardest part came next adding it to the image!! Lets just say it will be a while before I make another Lol! I cut out and matted on to purple sparkle paper the Bewitched and Charmed words. I added the stick and glued in place and then covered the back with the same Graphic45 paper covering all the workings.
After adding a tiny bat and some purple stars we are done.
I do hope you will come over and join in the fun with us. As always we are a "anything goes" challenge.

True Love.

Hello,

Today I'd like to share with you all a special card I made for an order by my neighbour.
She asked for a "wow" card to help the recipients celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary, which is diamond. She did mention that their favorite film is High Society and the song they danced to at their wedding all those years ago was True Love by Bing Crosby & Grace Kelly. They still ask for it at every event. For those that don't know he sings it to her on a yacht and she is wearing pink and he in sailor blue.

So here is what I made for her..

I cut the base card using my Cricut using the cartridge Paper Lace. Then I cut the blue paper 1/4 inch less. The pink is 3/4 less than the base card.
I've added the heart banner and backed it with a bit of blue and the verse is from the song and I mounted that on to a blue cardstock. I added the deep cream lace and on to that I added one of my favorite banners and wrapped around that a sparkly sheer ribbon but not before it was threaded through a diamante ribbon slider.
The flowers are added on top of the heart leaf spray which is cut out of pale green. I added a hat pin but added a few beads first, the cotton reel is an idea I lifted from Tracy Payne the owner of Crafteezee-shop and a wonderful cardmaker to boot. I fussy cut out a few boats and added them around the card along with some diamante gems. The heartfelt wishes I added on a double mat to the top to add some height. The 60 was also cut by the Cricut too. I made two sizes of tassel using both the blue and pink papers.

Thank You for stopping by today, I hope you liked what you saw? If so please leave a comment.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

Hello There,

Here we go again with yet another new month and a new challenge over at Bestieschallenge.blogspot . We are a anything goes challenge but we do have a theme if you like to follow one.  For the month of May its Girls just wanna have fun! just like the song.

This fun birthday card I made for my Brother-in-Law. He lives in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and is a keen golfer. "hello pet" is a typical greeting around those parts so it had to be added. The other "cheeky" comment at the bottom goes along with his fun personality.
I hope you can come over and play along as there are some great Fluffy images to win.

I'm also joining in with these challenges too...
