Little Gamer Dude

Hello and welcome to a new challenge over at digichoosday . The rest of the team have made Christmas I know but I've been on vacation and just didn't get time. So I have used a card to share today that I have made a wee while ago. But I'll be back on track next time.

Today I have made a card for a young chap using this adorable image called gamer-little-dude he comes along with 3 papers and suitable sentiments too. But this time I have used papers from 3 different collections just to show how versatile Nikky's kit are.

I've coloured my image with a selection of marker pens keeping with the colours from the papers. I did a little faux stitching around the card edge and image.

The 3 papers I have used are from winnie-celebrations-1-papers-1distress-ink-papers-plain and sticks-bones-textured-dinosaur-papers-5 .

I hope you can join in with us this week, we are a anything goes challenge with a super prize randomly picked along with 3 DT top picks.

Thanks for calling in, hope you have time to leave a word or two and maybe follow me on Bloglovin

It's a Boy!

Hello and a Happy Tuesday to you all.

Tuesday can only mean one thing and that is it's time to start a new challenge over at digichoosday . As always we are a Anything Goes challenge for you guys but for us DT members Nikky has set us a challenge to make a celebration card (but not birthday) and to add a element that will pull out.

So here is what I have come up with..

Yes a New Baby Boy card. I have used the darling baby-boom collection. It is on sale at the moment as is jammed packed full of the most delightful papers and images which are all coloured in for you and are ready in pink and blue themes.

I have made a wrap over style card at 5x5 in bright white. The baby image here on the front and the jar of wishes have both been printed out twice and layered up.

This photo shows the inside flap. I have added a sleeping baby flat down and the precious tag has foam pads underneath.

This shot shows the inside centre panel where I have added a washing line and added the baby items using foam pads as they peek through the gap and the Teddy is placed flat down.

Here we have a close-up of the Pull-Out element. I made a small envelope and added another Precious topper to the front but removed the outer blue mat. I also added a brad to the front of the flap. You could fold a £ up and add inside for a gift. Here you can also see the button and bow I have added along with clear sequins.

I do hope you can come on over and play along as there is a super prize to win as well as 3 DT favourites to be picked.

Thanks for stopping by today, leave a few words if you have time as its always nice to see who has stopped by.

Rough Day?

Hi,

Thought I’d join in with the fun challenge over at Sketchsaturday 571 With their cute sketch. I am still making cards for a table top sale to raise funds for Save the Elephants, which is very dear to my sons heart. Thought I’d make a fun Get Well card for a change.

I chose to use this fun image Little Dudes broken-bones he comes with 3 papers and a selection of fab sentiments suitable for the image. I haven't  actually used the papers this time as I am trying to use up stash (which is growing by the day again!!) but these patterned ones are available from polkadoodles in other kits.

I have coloured him in using my Promarkers and fussy cut him out. I used foam pads behind him and also under the horizontal strip.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you can find time to leave a word or two.

Sewing Bee-utiful

Hello,

Today I have a birthday card which I have made for an order.

I decided on a circular card this time which I cut out using my stitched circle dies.  I have used a dotty paper from Paper Boutique and another from merlyimpressions-yucca . I gutted the dotty paper to mount the cream paper on to. The cream I printed myself by stamping the Grandma's Attic rubber stamp by JustRite in Worn Lipstick and only choosing the top section to cut out and stitch around with blue floss. Two layers were added using foam pads for height.

The recipient of this card has just taken up sewing and also loves to flower arrange too so I was quite happy to use this zipper rose along with other flowers, leaves and a large pin. I added the laser cut dress form underneath the flowers to pull it all together. This lady also has a lovely dog who had to be added to the card too.

Here is a closer look where you can see added pink pearls and a tiny butterfly too.  I added the bee because over here in the UK we have a wonderful programme on TV called The Sewing Bee which has ignited the passion for dressmaking again.
I hope you like what you see, if you can leave a word or two.

Fabulous Birthday.

Hi,

Another Birthday card to share with you today. This one is for my cousin over in USA. I felt so bad as I had missed a big birthday last year I was determined to send one in time this year.

This card is 5x7 in bright white and to that I have added paper from the sparkle collection at Merly Impressions I have used my stamp and die set by Julie-hickey called spring-delights I added a couple of gold leaves to fit in with the papers. The sentiment is a new stamp for me from Crafters Companion I have used a black mount underneath and I have also cut a couple of corners too to bring it all together.
I know she likes it because it arrived a little early but never mind as long as it arrived.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you can leave a word or two as I enjoy reading them.
I will be joining in the fun over at these challenge sites

Big Hugs!

Hello and a Happy Tuesday to you all.

Time to share with you all my new card for this weeks digichoosday challenge  As always we are anything goes. But for us DT's we have our own little challenge to follow and this week it was something I have never made before.

1. Just because
2. Follow the colour pallet
3. Make a penny slider

Can you guess, yes of course it is the slider part I've never made before lol.

This was the colour pallet we had to use

So following the colour pallet  I chose my papers from the store.
The orange paper is from little-monsters the bottom pink paper is from Winnie-sugar-sprinkles-paper-heaven-7 and the dotty paper above is from Winnie-celebrations-1-papers-1

Then I printed the Hi  straight on to the pink paper from lily-bug-love-paper-heaven-2  I also printed off the banner at the bottom and the spinner from the lily-bug-love-stuff-bundle The butterflies are from winnie-special-moments- embelishments . I would recommend you to checkout Nikky's embellishment kits because they are jammed packed with wonderful little gems to finish off a project.
The card needed some brown so along came the boarder and bow. I finished off by using the waste dotted about with some glitter glue for sugar sprinkles.
I really enjoyed making this card and you can see it move on a little video I made showing over on the Facebook page.

I do hope you will come on over and join in with us as there's a super prize to be won and I look forward to visiting you too.
Thanks for stopping in, let me know what you think.

Sue.
