Never loose your sparkle

Hello, Today I wanted to share with you this little birthday card I made using the June Diva Inspiration challenge.
www.vervestamps.blogspot.com
www.lilpatchofcraftyfriends.blogspot.com

I made this 5x7 card using some white leather look card and covered it with Kaisercraft paper from the sail away collection, then a square of My Minds Eye follow your heart paper which I faux stitched the edges. I cut a sentiment from some left over Teresa Collins stationary notes paper which I matted on to orange card.
I also made a strip of palest blue which I wrapped stripy ribbon around and added a tiny bow. The happy birthday stamp is from my collection and I mounted that on to orange card too. A few gems to the top corner and we are done.

Thanks for stopping by today,

No2 Viva La Verve

Hi, Well the second sketch is up from Viva La Verve, so it's time to join in.   Here is the sketch we have to follow.
http://vlvsketches.blogspot.co.uk/
I needed a sympathy card this last week and didn't have one in my stash. We all need these at some point so thought I'd make one using the sketch. Here it is...

The card is a 5x5 cream card blank and on to that I have added two sheets of Bo Bunny dotty paper. I have used the sentiment from Be Blessed stamp set by Verve along with the flowers. I also used their sprightly sprigs and pointed flower dies. The stitched square die is my latest purchase by Marianne.
Both flower and main sentiment has been lifted by foam pads. 3 gems in the corner and we are done.

I would also like to enter this card in to the following challenges

#184 Land of the Free

Hi, This time it's Peachy's turn to choose the theme over at http://myshericrafts.blogspot.com and she has come up with Land of the Free which means your project MUST have the colours red, white and blue on it. It is not essential for it to be 4th July.
This last fact is good for me as I'm in the UK.  So this time I have come up with a birthday card for a neighbour.
I saw a card like this on Pinterest by Wickedly Wonderful Creations and I just knew I had to make one.  The card base is a 6x6 deep red to which I added white card stock, zigzag in grey by Sn@p colour vibe, both sides of a Fab scraps paper called Stars and Stripes and a little Bazzill Basic in Whirlypop.
The balloon die was free with a magazine and the tiny stamp is a HOTP one I have had for years, oh and  I made the little enamelled dots. The horizontal grey I pleated and then stitched down. There are lots of layers this time and it's quite heavy so thank goodness no posting is required!!

Well now it's your turn to show us your makes, you could be our next guest designer. Leave a little word so I know you have stopped by.
Thanks  Sue

New Baby Card

Hi,
Today I have made a lovely little New Baby card using the first sketch of the month over at www.vlvsketches.blogspot.com

The card is being given before the baby is born so we don't know the sex yet, so I played it safe using soft yellow and soft green.

Here is my card,

The card is a brilliant white 5x7 base. I used a soft yellow Kaisercraft plain card on the base which I first ran through a polka dot embossing folder. Then using 2 different gingham papers I matted them on to first a pale green and the other on to white, the green got a retro touch by using my fancy edge scissors.

I used the Verve "smallest Things" stamp as my main image which I matted twice and then using a tiny Free onesie stamp I made a tag and added some fibers continuing the retro theme.

A few pearls and floating hearts and we are done. Thanks for stopping by today.

#183 Tag's tag's and more tag's.

Hi,
Another quick fortnight passes. That means its time for a new challenge over at myshericrafts.blogspot.com and this time its the turn of Raquel, she would like us to come up with a project that has atleast one tag on it. With Fathers Day approaching I'm thinking we may see a few more "guy" cards!

Here is what I've made,

As you can see I have chosen to make a birthday card. The card is a 6x6 which I removed a half inch strip from the front to allow you to see the back panel which I put a strip of paper matching that of the front.
I distressed the dotty paper before I placed it down. I covered a piece of kraft card with a small piece of material which I stitched down and frayed the edges adding it at a angle.
Then using various stamps and dies from Verve from their following sets I finished it off, also adding gems, brads, ribbon and Creative Expressions glue in pale yellow.

Thanks for stopping by today, come and join in the fun and link up your creation to try out for a guest designer spot. Check out what the rest of the DT have made too.

Eclectic Ellapu June Challenge

Hi,
Well it's the first of the month which means it's time to kick start a new challenge over at eclecticellapu.blogspot.co.uk . This month the theme for the pink design team is "Midsummer" so we are expecting to see lots of winged things and flowers to celebrate this special time in the year.

Here is the card I made using a sweet image my good friend Sandy gave me.

The card is a 6x6 and uses Tim Holtz paper along with a pretty flower paper I have had in my stash from the beginning!! I coloured in using Promarker Pens and added 2 metal embellishments. I cut out and made the flowers and leaves to fill the top left hand side.
I also found my little ladybird and dragonfly dies to add a little something else.

Thanks for stopping by today but before you start your creation pop over and see what everyone else has made, leave a little love so I know who's been.

Sue
