Shabby Chic

Hello there,

Today I'd like to share a card I made for an order before Christmas. The brief was to be shabby chic or vintage. Think I managed both!

The card is a nice big A5 cream blank and on to that I matted this lovely shabby paper which I tore the edges before inking. I took a length of lace and wrapped that around before I attached the paper to the card.
The paper is double sided (more for your money I always think 😉) so I cut a strip to make a fishtail strip and added that along with another coordinating strip, but not before I inked and distressed them both.

Because there is grey in there I cut a flourish and some leaves. I fussy cut out some flowers from the main paper and added those along with some other from my stash and also purchased from Ribbon girl.
This online shop was new to me late last year, what a find. I added 2 pins and printed out my sentiment putting it behind a frame I cut from a Kaisercraft paper I bought from Merly Impressions.

I am entering this card in the following challenges,

pinkandmainchallenges.

Thanks for stopping by today, leave a comment so I know you have called by.
