Amazing You.

 Hello there,

Today I am sharing a layout for The Mad Scrapper Blog and I am using new papers from 49 and market, a full list of supplies can be found below.

The photograph is again of my sister her hubby and granddaughter. They enjoy days out together whatever the weather is like and she enjoys nothing better than to pull on her wellingtons and dragging grandad through the wet grass looking for big sticks or branches to take home.

I took my chosen solid paper and trimmed it to 11 x 11.5   Well I'm not the best at mixed media layouts (I'm afraid of messing up!) but I knew I wanted to add something to this solid sheet so I took my favourite stencil and added the paste through in certain areas and left it to dry. Then I took Patina distress ink and added that and topped it with a touch of Walnut Stain. It looks a hot mess in this photo but I think we pulled it back ok! I left it overnight to completely dry then I added it to a sheet of Island cardstock having the inch to the left I didn't gut it because I wanted it to control any warping.

After deciding where the photo would go I added some chipboard twigs and extra where it won't be seen to hold up the photo. I cut strips of papers and cut flag ends in them and inked with the walnut stain before placing them on top.

I added a black mat beneath the photo and attached it to the page then I cut up some little phrases and added them to the branches.

I added a few stars and hearts about the layout and to finish some black rhinestones

A layout from me almost always has to have some flowers and I just managed to sneak in a few in here.

There is a sheet of cut apart journal cards so I used one for my journaling and another I turned over and tucked it underneath

Thanks again for stopping by, I hope you have been inspired by this layout. If you want to see the full collection stop by the shop and Janine will be pleased to show you it all  if not grab a coffee and go to The Mad Scrapper  and look at your pleasure.

Thinking of You

Hi, here’s another card I’ve made to join in with the Pinkfresh April challenge.

This time I’ve used peaches and yellows in my inking. I used the double stitched rectangles and I copied Carissa’s idea with the 2 flashes on the oval.

I used the peach fuzz collection & yellows and citron & bay leaf on the leaves.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Sue

Filled with Joy.

80th Birthday Card

 Hello,

I'm here today to share a BIG Birthday card I have made using products available from The Mad Scrapper  and for The Mad Scrapper Blog. A full list of products is available at the base of this post.

Here is the card it's a 6x8 white card base.

I have chosen papers and ephemera from Uniquely Creative there are so many different styles available instore I feel sure you will find the perfect one for you. I also used flowers from 49 and Market and Green Tara.

After making my card base I added a light grey mat and on top I added my paper choice but not before I distressed the edges.

Next I cut a smaller light blue piece of card and added on to that another distressed piece of the paper. I haven't attached these yet that's why it's wonky!

Next I cut a slim piece of blue/grey and added a strip of the opposite side of the paper distressing and adding some fancy lace trim to it. I placed that on the card front using my glue gun which gave it a little lift. I used a selection of ephemera from the collection, you can see the feathers and sketchy leaves. Then I added some gauze for softness and started to add the flowers from both companies.

To finish off I added the Happy 80th cut out of silver Mirri card and dotted about pearls and glue dots. You could use rhinestones too.

Thanks for stopping by today. Don't forget to call in and see Janine for you supplies or go to The Mad Scrapper  and check out all the beautiful collections from your sofa.
