Last card for the year

Well I can't believe it, it's the 31st Dec already "where did that year go?"
Here is my last card of the year. I used Kaisercraft's Pickled Pear collection from www.merlyimpressions.co.uk I used the page called "thyme" which has half the page in the washed board looking paper and the flowers on the bottom which I fussy cut out and lifted with foam pads. I added a ribbon to hide the join and from another page I cut out the sentiment which I mounted on to another mat. I printed out from my pc the birthday message and cut out using my Christmas gift from Sandy. I inked the edges of everything using Tim Holtz mustard seeds. To finish off I added 3 gems and two pearls. Oh by the way the card is 8.5 x 6.

Thanks for stopping by and sending you best wishes for 2013.

Fast and Fab gifts

Well its nearly here Christmas that is..
Over at www.mypapercrafting.com it is day 22 of the 25 days of Christmas event. Today we got to make what ever we wanted for a quick gift idea so I made a gift card holder.

I used my new Spell binder poinsettia die on this and whilst still in the die I inked using Forest Moss. The sentiment is a Verve Stamp which I love. I closed it with some bakers twine and added my usual 3 gems in the corner.
Here it is showing the card.

This is my last outing with the design team, it has been great fun joining in. There are still 3 more days to go over on the site so please do go over and see what is up for grabs.

3 little stockings hanging in a row.......

Today over at the 25 days of Christmas event at www.mypapercrafting.com it is day 20 and the digital stamp today uses the image of 3 stockings hanging over the fireplace. It is so cute you must go over and grab it, it's available free for 24 hours only.

I started with my favorite 6x6 card blank in white pearl finish. I wanted to use this sheet of Prima - fancy Christmas collection double sided paper which I bought last year. I chose the Pro markers to match and coloured in the image. I cut it out quite close and then placed it down on the green side of the paper letting it hang over and then I put that down on the pink side using foam pads to lift it. To finish off I went around the edges with a white pen and a mauve metallic Copic.

Thanks for looking in today but do go over and see all the other wonderful things made by the other design team members.

Count Your Blessings

Here I am again, this time it is to make a Thanks Giving card for day 18 over at the 25 days of Christmas event at www.mypapercrafting.com . Just look at this lovely digital stamp we were given to use.

This time I decided to make a 5x7 easel card. I used some papers from my stash which I think came free out of a magazine. I also used the tied the knot embossing folder along with paper flowers from my stash, a yellow brad and a Spellbinder leaf. I coloured in the image using my Pro marker pens pulling the colours from the papers.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Trees and Tinsel

Well my goodness it is day 17 over at the 25 days of Christmas event at http://www.mypapercrafting.com/ I hope you have been going over to take a peek at all the great designs the girls have been coming up with.

Today we have been given this wonderful tree and cross digital stamp to use. I started off by making a 6x6 card blank and then turned back the front to make a fold card. I covered the front and inside using Kaisercraft double sided paper from the http://www.merlyimpressions.co.uk/scrapbook-papers/4892-partridge-turtle-dove-collection-883416109198.html . I used my Pro markers to colour in the tree and the cross but then I covered the cross in glue and added gold leaf over it. 3 peeloff's finished it off. This next photo shows it open.

Thanks for looking in today.

Ice cream beard Santa.

It is day 12 of the 25 days of Christmas event over at http://www.mypapercrafting.com/ and again today I chose the digital stamp to use. This is so cute and I hope you go over there and take a peek at all the other design teams cards there are some stunners.
I used a aperture card and put in some green paper which had sprigs on it and dots of glossy accents too. I added some faux stitching around the aperture as well as the sprigs.
After printing out the design again I coloured him in using Promarkers, then I added some quickie glue pen to his cuffs and buttons Oh and pompom then added clear glitter.
To his beard I added some liquid applique which I have had for years, I left it over night and it bubbled up nicely, I have to say it looks like Mr Whippy ice cream. I used foam pads under him to lift him from the page. I also used some clear ink to stamp the Ho Ho and heat embossed with white powder.

Thanks for looking in.

Fun on the 4th of July

Well it is day 11 on the 25 days of Christmas event over at http://www.mypapercrafting.com/ and today's theme is 4th of July. I chose to use the lovely cup cake digital stamp. As we don't celebrate the holiday over her in the UK I decided to make up a invitation post card.
I printed out the stamp and coloured it in using my Promarker pens along with a gold and silver pen for the stars on the icing. I cut tight around and then mat on to pale blue paper. After trimming that I used foam pads to lift it off the card blank.
I used some HOTP stamps to make the lines to write on and a few stickers which I picked up when I was over in Florida back in 2008. The post card stamp is from Rubbernecker.

Thanks for looking in today and why not pop over there to see what else is going on. You will find cutting files, digital stamps and an image everyday.

Twirlie Snowman

Here finally is the card I meant to make using the digital snowman stamp from mypapercrafting.com

As I said in the post below I flipped this image and put clear thread between so I could hang in an aperture window. I used a5x7 card blank and dotted around a few peeloff stars and a sentiment from craftworkcards.co.uk which I have had for a few years knocking about. I placed some snowflake paper on the inside.

Thanks for looking

25 days Snowman

I was happy to be picked as a designer for the 3rd annual 25 days of Christmas and year round crafting showcase over at mypapercrafting.com I chose to use the Snowman digital stamp. This time I just printed him out on kraft card and inked around the edges with cranberry ink. I decided to make a twisted easel card this time.
Please go over and check out what else has been made using today's images. There are free stamps and cut designs each day and prizes too.

Sue

Just a little side view.

I took the digital image and flipped it to enable me to put them back to back. Before I stuck them together I put some clear thread in between them so this way I can hang in a aperture.

Dude!!

Hi,
Here is a card I made yesterday for a friend to give her Dad. He loves his motorbike so I had to find an image online which would be fun to use.
I made a card blank from kraft card which my good friend Sandy sent to me. I used the Kaisercraft "Attitude" collection of papers and coloured in the image using Promarkers.
I am hosting this week on on the Cricut site and this card sort of follows one of the sketches. Hope you like it and thanks for peeking in today.

November Crop Layouts

Went to the Merly Impressions crop on Sat over in Bedford. Didn't quite finish both pages so finished them off here at home.

The first uses the Kaisercraft Just Believe collection along with some stickers I picked up in Florida after visiting Harry Potter World at Universal. I also used Chrissy's MS round the page punch. The text reads " it may be winter outside or at least on the roof tops, but on the ground it is 90 degrees. But this is Harry Potter Land in magical Florida. Anyone for butter beer?"

This second layout uses a photo taken at my cousins wedding in May 2012. The photo shows my mum, her sister who came over from the US and her brother the brides father. The church seen was taken off the order of service.
I used again a MS round the page punch and the papers are from Echo Park Paper, Kaisercraft and Bazilli bling. I put drops of black stickles on some of the cut flowers and on others pink pearl cosmic shimmer glue. I have put two photo's so you can see it all.

Thanks for looking.

Couple of fun cards

Thought I'd share a couple of cards with you today.
I have made these for the Raq's Challenge over on the Cricut site, Sandy is hosting this week. I have a couple of friends going through it a bit at the moment both work friends and if I could I would give them both this card.
The papers are from Kaisercraft and MME, I printed the sentiment on to the blank mat. For one girl I could have put "a glass of red wine" lol. I cut out a couple of extra lemons for good measure and CB the centre panel.

This card uses all MME paper a double sided sheet and a bit of yellow Bazzil Bling to pop the banners.

My Sheri Crafts Fall Card

Hello, here is a card I made to join in with the challenge over on My Sheri Crafts. This time you had to make a card using fall colours and 3 embellishments. I chose to use Devonshire collection of papers from Kaisercraft. I also used Spellbinder flourish die, an oval die set, some burnt orange ribbon and my usual 3 gems. The stamp is a Rubbernecker one and I used a Whispers sepia ink pad. Thanks for looking this time.

We will remember them

Good morning,
This card I made yesterday for Raq's challenge over on the Cricut site. It is the extra credit challenge set by Turtlebug this week.
I used a sheet of paper I have had for years and thought I'd never use up! The sentiment is the prayer said at the service every year. I cut poppies from the storybook cartridge and Spellbinder leaves. Tiny black gems on the small flowers and clear on the large. I just noticed this was using last weeks Mojo Monday sketch too. The card will be going to my parents.
Thanks for looking.

Dungaree's

I found these few photo's of my son when we think he was about 2 years old. We were up at my Mum & Dad's in North Wales.
He was so cute with his almost white blond hair which was so curly in his dungaree's brushing up their back yard.
I used a sheet of Basic Grey paper which I think was one of the first papers I bought and thought I'd never find anything to do with it. I have also used a few off cuts from a Kaisercraft paper on here too.
Thanks for looking.

Sue.

Just so you can see his hair.

Thanksgiving Cards, a first for me.

Here are two Thanksgiving cards I made using some papers I have been keeping for just this moment from Kaisercraft from thier "peachy keen" collection. One sheet had these two birds on and another the background vines. I also used the "Fall Foilage" from Spell Binders and my Cricut to cut the Thanks on this one.

On this second card I embossed the back ground paper and used Spell Binders "Fancy Squares" also a flourish from them and the same "Fall Foilage"dies. This bird was smaller so the card is a 5x5.
Thanks for looking today.

Family is everything.

Hello,
Well I can't believe it, my darling son will be 19 tomorrow! Where did all those years go?
He loves his family and always wants photo's up of us all. This year we went to my cousins wedding and this meant we had time for a group shot. Here he is centre back with my parents, my hubby and I, my 2 sisters and their other halves and my niece.
This will go in his bedroom on the wall. The frame I picked up in a craft store, it is a deep one which meant I could add embellishments to it. The papers and sentiment are from the Kaisercraft "Homemade" collection along with a few gems and flowers from my stash.
Thanks for taking a peek.

Friendship card

I thought I'd add a card today.
This was made for an order. I used some free papers on this card along with my newest Spell Binder and a couple of flourish dies too. The sentiment is a Kaisercraft rub on. A little dotty ribbon to match the flower and a further 3 flowers to anchor the other side. The finish size is a UK A5.
Thanks

Sue

Golden Wedding

Hi,
This is a layout of my wonderful Mum and Dad at their 50th wedding anniversary 5 years ago.
This I made at the Merly Impressions crop I go to over in Bedford every other month.
We used the "miss matched" collection again but this time the papers were blue. Chrissy gives us full instructions on how to put together the layout but we can then alter to fit out own photo's etc. For once I think I kept to her design lol
We cut out lots of the blue flowers to add and layer then dotted around a few pale lemon pearls.

Thanks for peeking,
Sue

My first try at a Mojo Monday challenge.

Good morning,
This is my first attempt at entering a card on the Mojo Monday Challenge. This one is for 268.
You don't see many guy type cards on this challenge so hope they like it.

I have used the Kaisercraft Attitude collection completely on this A5 black card. I embossed the What's up panel and then inked the edge with grey and then added clear embossing powder.
I swiss dot embossed the Teenager paper too. I added some faux stitching around most of the edges. The black panel was cut using Storybook Cricut Cartridge and a small snip of black grosgrain ribbon from my stash.
This card is for my son who's birthday is next week. I am usually last minute making his but this time I'll be ready lol. I will be adding a couple of music charms to this and a Happy Birthday sentiment.
Now to try and upload it. Thanks for looking.

"Chit Chat"

Just look at this little fella chatting to this little girl who he didn't know. We were sat over the other side of the square. It looked like he was telling her" that's my Mum & Dad over there". We were on a holiday and this was in Tumbridge Wells.
Thanks for peeking.

"is this strawberry Nana?"

This layout I completed on Sunday whilst my son (above) was out on his bike with his Dad doing a 20 mile ride.
My son is somewhat bigger now (almost 19) but this shows him at his Nana and Grandads in North Wales in about 1995 at breakfast time. I am not a lover of photo's of children with food over their faces but this one has been missing for quite some years and when I saw it it just had to be done!

Sue

Picture Perfect

Here is a layout I made at a crop I go to every other month run by Chrissy at Merly Impressions over by Bedford here in the UK.
The papers we used were "mismatched collection" by Kaisercraft. Chrissy is a BIG fan of fussy cutting and we did plenty on this one. The photograph was taken by my hubby when we went to stay at Thorsbury Hall in Nottingham for a short break a couple of years ago. The Polaroid frame was in the kit of the day too.
I make a 12x12 page each month for my family calendar which hangs in the kitchen, so every time I boil the kettle for a cup of tea I look at this.

Paris Tag

Hi, here is a tag I made for my big sister's birthday. It was for a challenge over on Raq's challenge on the Cricut site. In fact now I think about it it was my challenge week.
I used the Justrite Paris stamp set which I received from my good friend Sandy for my birthday.
Thanks for taking a peek.
