Happy Days.

 Hello,

Here I am sharing another layout made for themadscrapper.blog and today it is all about my husbands latest fishing trip.

I'm using Cotton Candy from 49andmarket but you'll find a full list at the bottom of the page. I have also chosen this fish net chipboard which I kept as is. I broke off a couple of pieces and tucked under my lifted photographs.

Next you can see I added some small fish which I painted white gesso on and then when dry inked over. I stitched some light grey floss and added a tiny bead as a float. You can also see that I have added some rub-ons around the page too.

In the next photographs you will see the finished close ups. Here I added a dragonfly from the laser-cut pack and it got a touch of glitter glue also some berries over a leaf rub-on which I added glossy accents to.

This shows another element taken from the laser-cut pack just added to the photo

This close up shows a little cluster I made for this bottom corner which was looking a little bare, it's made from a couple of torn scraps which I inked the edges and I tucked yet another bit of the net in. The tickets and sentiment are from other collection in the store. You can also see the bright title which is a Perspextive from my stash.

Another close up this time showing the rub-ons and berries.

Here you can see another couple of tickets and butterfly rub-on as well as my journaling.

I decided to add some glossy accents like bubbles from the fish for a bit of fun, I also added them about the page along with gems and enamel like drops.

I hope you have enjoyed my layout and how it was made and its given you some inspiration to use up some of your lovely papers.
Pop in to the store if you're lucky enough to live close by if not do what I do and shop online at www.themadscrapper.co.uk

Smile.

 Hello!

Today I'd like to share a layout I have made for themadscrapper.blog and I have used a selection papers, flowers and ephemera from 49-and-market . You can find a full list below.

I started by cutting in half the Precocious page and the Flutterbies and trimmed both to 11 1/2 by 12 and mounted on to a cream smooth card. I stitched around the 3 sides of the flutterbies with a sage green floss. I also inked through the Tapestry stencil with Saltwater Taffy ink. I used the manufacturer strip from Precocious paper at the bottom.

The next few photo's show how I have used the Laser cuts, flowers and leaves to build up the layout. I added some medium deep lace across the centre join, even though you don't see much of it but it does go all the way.

I put both photographs under faux stitched frames from the Lazer-cut pack and lifted both on foam so I can tuck bits underneath. The Smile is from the same pack and it fits perfect.

This little sentiment is from Cocoa Vanilla, I keep all little bits because you never know when you'll need it! I made 3 fishtail banners to hang under the lace.

I love the little butterflies from the Lazer-cuts so I dotted a few about. You can see how I have lifted the acetate leaves from the paper.

Aren't those photo frames great? I made a doily from a scrap of paper and tucked it under and added acetate leaves and a couple of file tabs.

Here you can see the stencilling a little better.

To finish off today I added pearls, Nuvo drops and a touch more floss. I hope I have inspired you to cut up and move around your papers to fit your layout idea. Check out more papers at www.themadscrapper.co.uk or even better call in to the store.

Happy Anniversary

 Hello,

Today I am here sharing a card I have made for themadscrapper.blog using the beautiful papers from Gather at Home collection by carta-bella ( full list below) and flowers from the store.

This paper collection is so beautiful, perfect for homely layouts as well as cards of all styles because both sides of the paper give many options.
I started by making myself a card blank 5x8 in tent fold style, I like to do types that you wouldn't easily find in a shop. To that I added a slightly smaller piece of the b side of the 4x4 journaling paper distressing all edges first.

Then jumping ahead I made a panel using one of the florals matting it on to some Guacamole Bazzill and I tucked under a lacy piece I cut from the pitcher perfect paper. I made two banners from paired with plaid and green thumb matting them too.

Then I die cut a doily and chose 3 of the stickers but I added those to paper and fussy cut them so I could move them about before committing them. I stamped a sentiment and added it to the centre of the doily.

I gathered together flowers that I thought would work well and fussy cut some leaves out too. I also die cut a 20 to show the years married.

Everything is hot glued down this time. I added some cheesecloth under the flowers before I started and tied some wax thread through the little tag

As you can see I have finished off with complementary coloured Nuvo drops.

Thanks for stopping by again today. I am going to make another of these cards but for a New Home as the stickers have given me lots of ideas.
Don't forget to call in to the shop if you can if not click on to www.themadscrapper.co.uk and see all the lovelies Janine has to offer you.

Love your Smile.

Hello again and today I'm sharing a layout I have made for themadscrapper.blog using the sweetest photographs of my niece's daughter who is the most happy of little ones.

I started by taking a sheet of 49andmarket Sherbet collection (full list below) trimming it down by 3/4 inch and cutting it in half on the diagonal. I distressed the edges and then attached it only in the centre of both with a few dots of glue to a sheet of white and then I went about hand stitching along the edges but I matched the thread to the colour on the area paper I was going over (I hope that makes sense?).

Here is a photo that I think shows it better, you can also see how I placed the first 2 photos after matting them on to a sheet of 6x8 paper. I didn't stitch where it wouldn't be seen either.

I gathered together 49andmarket flowers, leaves, ephemera and laser cuts and started to put together my embelishement clusters. Fishtail flags and a fussycut butterfly from a Cocoa Vanilla paper finished off with some glitter glue.

Here you can see how well all the 49andmarket flowers work with the acetate leaves. I added a Prima flower and a burlap leaf for texture oh and there is a pale pink heart in there to from Bramble Fox.

This collection of flowers has added pearls to the main flower and you can see the Nuvo drops I dotted about and a open heart from Bramble Fox.

I added a little hand written journaling and some faux stitching to them.

Just look at that smile 💖. At the moment this is my favourite photo of her but I must say it changes quite often. The title is from the ephemera pack. This photo is mounted on 2 sheets of card to lift it above the other two.

Thanks for stopping by today and I do hope you like my layout today. If you're looking for more papers and embelishments to add to your stash pop on over to themadscrapper.co.uk because Janine has lots and lots of beautiful things to turn your head.

For this layout I used a Free Sketch #18 by Allison Davis over at Scrapbook Generation in the USA. Sketches are great when you think your work is getting a bit samey.
