Hello there,
Well it's that time again for joining in the fun over at My Sheri Crafts and this time around it is the turn of owner Sheri to choose. Sheri has noticed it is National Teddy Bear Day in the U.S. on the 9th September so she thought it would be fun to use a little guy or two on your projects.
I needed a wedding card for my son to give 2 colleagues at work who are getting married over in Las Vegas in mid September. Here is what I made for him.
The image is one from a pre-coloured sheet by Hobby House using the image by Sylvia Zet. I cut it out using my new stitched square die. I had been making another wedding card at the time and the papers I have used on this were all cut offs from that.
The pastel green has been embossed using Sue Wilson's board and the pastel blue at the top is pearled. I used a pearl pink card to mat the image on to and also cut a pennant trim die the stamp is one of my new ones by Verve from the Love Everlasting set.
The flowers are from a new online shop I have found The Ribbon Girl she has some wonderful stuff on there and great prices too. I added a couple of SB fern sprigs and a little SB corner heart to the flowers to fill it out. My usual 3 gems to the corner and there we are.
Thanks for stopping by today, please pop over to the other girls blogs to see what fun cards they have made and then it's your turn to join in.
Pop back again soon to see the other wedding card I have made. Leave me a word or two so I know you have visited as I love to read them.

Happy Birthday
Hello Again,
Well as I said I have 2 posts today and this is the second. It is yet another using the Augusts Viva La Verve sketch #2.
I think this is such a fun sketch to use.
Here is my card.
This card is a 6x6 tent fold card which I matted on to it this wonderful flower paper, I'm afraid I can't remember where it came from but I have kept this small piece for a very long time!
I used some brown with cream dot satin ribbon and a big brown button which I saw one of the Diva's tying the bow behind and thought 'how cute' so I coppied.
The Happy Birthday is a plain Jane but no longer available. I stamped that using Espresso and cut it out with a stiched square die with a couple of mats for good measure. The distressed flower paper on the horizontal strip is also a precious save.
To finish off I added a few blooms and sprightly sprigs, then some dots of Liquid Pearls in platinum.
I am also entering this card in to the challenge over at lil patch of crafty friends
Thanks for stopping by.

Viva La Verve #2 August.
Hi,
Today I have two posts and this is the first. It is my card for the second Viva La Verve sketch for August
When I saw this I knew I would be able to join in.
Here is my card.
It is a 6x6 tent fold. I made my own background paper using a plastic bag and 4 distress ink pads. I added 2 images off the Better With You set embossing on parts of the beans with WOW hot chocolate embossing powder.
Then I stamped the Java stamp on a cut off of cream card. The stripe is a paper I have had for years which I also used to paper piece on to the coffee cups. The main sentiment is off the set too which I cut out using a stiched circle die.
The Happy Birthday is from Simply Amazing set which I stamped in Butterscotch and cut my own fishtail banner. Everything is lifted using my trusty Pin Flare Glue.
I am also entering this card in to the following challenges. Scrabook Stamp Society, anything goes.
Thanks for stopping by, please leave a word or two so I know you have been.

Christmas in Red
Hi,
Just managed to make another Christmas card yesterday whilst DH was out fishing. This one is following the theme over at Jingle Belles which is red. The card must be predominantly the colour red. So here is my take.
The card is a 6x6 cream card blank which I have matted deep red glitter card. I have used up several scraps on this too such as the Kaisercraft edge strip, the Santa paper and the Merry cut which is one I made years ago using a loaned Cricut cartridge.
The main image is by Bee Crafty and is called Claus and he is just lovely to stamp and emboss. I used JudiKins Rockin Red embossing powder which gives him a sort of golden red glow. He also got a touch of glitter card behind before going down using foam pads. I added 3 tiny buttons which I have had years and another stamp from I think Hero Art saying Christmas.
Thanks for stopping by today

August Diva Dare
Hi,
Today I have made a card to add to the August Diva Dare over at Verve Stamps. The challenge is one to use either the photo or the colours of soft olive, soft yellow or vintage rose.
I decided to use the colours and the ribbon/threads on the dream catcher. Here is my take
I have made a 6x6, first down is a soft olive cardstock and on to that I tried something new that I have seen on Pinterest. I took a piece of card through an embossing folder, then using some long forgotten chalks I chose soft pastel colours and swirled them about in no particular design. I matted that on to the base but not before adding 4 threads leaving plenty to hang. The sentiment is from the words of wisdom stamp set by Verve which I stamped on to a coral card which then went down on to the olive.
I decided to add some perfect pearls in similar pastel colours to the panel and the corners of the card.
Thanks for stopping by today, leave a word or two so I know you have been.

#460 Mojo Monday
Hello,
I thought I'd enter in to this weeks Mojo Monday Challenge.
I needed a card for my friend, saw the sketch and thought I'd use it. So here is my take.
It's a 5x8 card, using a lovely olive paper with the swirls. Then I used a scrap of paper that I couldn't throw out but first I folded it and inked the edges. Then I cut a doily from the same background paper and inked the edges with worn lipstick on to that I added a soft yellow stitched circle. Then I matted a old rose pink square on to the last bit of the flower paper.
The sentiment is a gold peeloff which I have coloured with pear green Promarker and added that on to the same soft yellow and back ground paper as before.
To finish off I decided to add two flowers with a flourish in gold and a green sprig and of course a few gems.
Thanks for stopping by today.

# 188 Back to School
Hello there,
Over at myshericrafts design team sister Raquel has asked us to make a project which is related to 'back to school' or possibly college. As I have no one at school age anymore I decided to make a altered note book cover for a 6th former.
I first painted the cover in pink acrylic paint then added a piece of pink paper which had a fine blue line running through it. I stamped odd uplifting words all over along with tiny hearts, I also added a banner to the bottom then I cut the scribble line design die cut and added that. I cut flowers and leaves using scraps of paper and cut out the 'awesome' adjective from two scraps.
The image is coloured with my Promarkers and lifted using foam pads on top of a animal skin patterned paper. A few gems to the flowers, scattered a few sequins and finally added a tiny glitter gold heart.
Items used...
simply amazing
Spellbinders Flower die.
wings of love
amazing adjectives
Pennant die
scribble die
I will also enter this project in other challenges too.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Where shall I hang my Stocking??
Hi,
Well here is the last of a group of Christmas cards I made last week. This one uses a cute image of a little girl who to me looks like she wants to know "where shall I hang my stocking".
I'm going to enter this card in to merry monday christmas challenge using #207 challenge.
This is a 6x6 cream card blank, which I have added some Graphic45 plaid paper, I added the red ribbon to the left. Then the 2 pieces of card were added to red card and mounted at jaunty angles. The image I coloured in using my Promarker pens then cut her out and mounted her on to red as well.
The holly was left over from another card and the sentiment is a good old peel off.
I'm entering in to SSSC #97 anything goes
Thanks for stopping by today.

Merry Monday Christmas catch up take 2
Hi,
I found this Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge whilst looking about last month. They do a weekly challenge but at the moment they are closed for the summer period. However they have come up with the idea that you can link up any missing cards you never got to make! As I have not made any I thought I'd give it a go.
I went through the weeks and picked out those I fancied having a try and here are a couple I have made.
This is a 5x5 card, using up a background paper free in a magazine along with a new die cut I picked up in a sale in the spring. To it I added silver corner peeloffs and silver stickles to the holes where the berries would be. I mounted the cut on to a square of purple card which had been matted on to white paper. I had to add the green for the leaves as it didn't look right without.

#201 use purple, silver and white Also ##210 include the word Peace, Joy or Love.

#187 use Tartan
This is also a 5x5 cream card which I folded back the front. I have added Graphic45 tartan paper to the back and the front. The postcard/photo is one of theirs too. I matted it on to 'bling' lime green and then on to red. The sentiment says from out house to yours stamped and matted the same way. I cut 2 sprightly sprigs
by Verve and added them to the top right corner and dotted on some red stickles. 4 green gems finishes it off.
Thanks for stopping by today, more to be added soon.

Second 3 of a kind
Hello,
Well as I said in my last post I'd made 2 cards for the jingle belles fortnightly challenge, which is to have 3 of something on it.
I'm normally last minute making my cards but as I need so many I thought I'd get started and what better place is to look around and join in at some of the blog challenges. I always look at this site and I think this may only be my 3rd or 4th card I have added (head hung in shame!) but I vow to mend my ways!
This is again a 5x7 card in a tent fold. I have used my very first stamp set I bought from Verve stamps which is O Christmas Tree, unfortunately it has been discontinued now. I stamped 3 of the holiday wreaths and on two I only coloured in a few petals but on the other I coloured in it all. I gave that a different bow too. Each bow has been stamped twice and added with foam pads to give lift. I also added some red stickles too. The greetings are from the same stamp set.
The holly paper is from Kaiserkraft and the postcard is one from Graphic45 which I've had for a couple of years.
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you leave a word so I can come visit you.

3 of a kind!
Hi,
Well I think I'd better get started on some Christmas cards (I say this quiet as my DH won't say the word out loud till mid December as he's a postie!!) and what better place to start than checking out the jingle belles blog I look at this site every year and myself and BFF Sandy say we are going to do it!! but here we are in August and only just adding our first!
The challenge this fortnight is to make a card with 3 of something on it, such as 3 Kings, 3 Trees etc Well I've made 2 cards and here is my first. See if you can tell what there is on it to make it fit the bill.
I'll give you a clue, there are 3 different items which have 3 on!
The card is a 5x7 cream card blank which I have covered with a brown with pale blue dot, I picked this pad up in 2008. Then from the same pad I took the basket weave paper and matted it on to red card. Then the Jingle Bells music sheet is by Graphic45, I curled the edges and inked then layed both down on a jaunty angle. I added the holly ribbon along with two jingle bells. The 3 holly bunches I cut out from another Graphic45 paper and added to the corners with one being lifted on foam pads.
To finish off I had to add 3 red pearls, a sentiment peeloff and the last thing was some Perfect Pearls in powder blue over some of the dots on the paper.
Have you found the 3x3 of a kind then? Well I've told you 2, the third is Jingle Bells it is written 3 times on the music sheet, once is the title and twice in the music itself!
Thanks for stopping by today, leave a word or two so I know you've been.

Ecllectic Ellapu August Challenge
Hello,
Well it's the first of the month, which means its time for another challenge over at Ecectic Ellapu. This month the Pink Team have chosen to ask you to make a project which includes FLOWERS .
Here is mine,
This card is a big 7x7 bright white card blank. I needed a large card to cope with the paper I had chosen, this beautiful wild flower and bird paper in a Bronte Style, which I picked up in The Range.
I decided to highlight the purple on the bird and in some of the butterflies so I matted the paper on to textured purple cardstock, I also used the same to make a frame for my sentiment with it too.
I added a piece of ribbon with a simple knot to the side. Then after cutting out 2 Cheery Lynn flourishes I set to and made lots of flowers with vellum, curling the petals and adding gems to their centres. then placed them around sentiment.
Right now its your turn to show us your flowery creations. Please leave a word so I know you have stopped by today.
