Hello again.
Over at www.mysehercrafts.blogspot.com it is new design team member Kristi's turn to pick a theme and she has chosen Thanksgiving.
We don't celebrate this holiday over here in the U.K so my card is not quite that style but it's a Thank You. Here it is...
I used papers from a country style pad I had along with pre-cut embellishments. Afraid I couldn't tell you who it is all by but its finished now.
I used a burnt orange cardstock to make my base card and its a tent fold too. I added a brad to the centre of the flower and a red star to cover a brown one that was on the tag. I mounted both tags on cream card for stability.
Now its your turn to join in with us this week, you could be chosen as our Guest Designer for the New Year!.

Tag Your It #169
Hi,
This time around over at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com it is owner Sheri's turn to choose the challenge and it is one of use a tag shape anywhere on your project or even make a tag.
I chose to make a cute birthday card for a chap I know.
The card this time is 6x6 and uses Kaiserkraft papers. I cut the tag myself and added the Verve boarder at the bottom, the stamp is theirs too. The balloon die was Free with a magazine and it cuts so well giving a stiched edge too. I used the dots which came out of the die to pop around the card as gems wouldn't be approprate this time round lol.
Come and join in it should be fun!

MOJO Monday 418
I just love the sketch over at www.mojomonday.blogspot.co.uk this week so I thought I'd give it a go. I save the sketches weekly but don't always get chance to join in but nearly always make a card at some point using it.
I used Verve's Better with You stamp set and I paper pieced the coffee cups. Bakers twine and a black cord I saved off a price ticket are used at the top. The centre blue paper has been embossed for texture and layered up on yellow flower paper.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Pretty In Pink #167
Hi,
Well it's that time again to enjoy a fun challenge over at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com . This time it is the turn of Design Team Sister Peachy to choose. October is well known for raising awareness for Cancer Charities around the world so what better time to show your support and make a card or project to show you care.
Here is my card, it is 5x5 and uses two stamps from Verve as well as their ribbon die and fancy boarder. I love their dies they cut so well. All the papers used were precious scraps and I added a few gems too.
Please join in with this worthwhile challenge.

Tic Tac Toe 3 in a row.
Hello there,
Well this time around over at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com it is my turn to choose the theme and I've come up with this 3 in a row challenge.
Colour brown Twine Stencil
Butterfly Metal Flower
Embellishment
Ribbon Tag Lace
Here is what I have made, it is a card for my uncle who likes to turn wood so I pulled out my bark embossing folder.
First off I made a 5x7 card base then matted on a piece of Kaisercraft paper from my stash which I inked around using corduroy, then I matted the bark effect on to black to make it pop. I cut out the tag shape by hand and used a Verve sentiment stamp on a die cut circle. I added the twine to the top. At the bottom I added 2 metal brads shaped like screws.
As you can see I used column B on my card Twine, Metal embellishment and Tag
I have used a sketch from Viva La Verve but didn't enter it then.
OK now it's your turn, leave a little comment so I know you've been by.

Here is what I have come up with
This cute little scarecrow was found on the Internet, I coloured him in using my Promarker Pens and them matted him on to the same blue card I made the card blank out of. Then I set about stamping and cutting loads of leaves. The background paper has sprays of flowers on with a touch of sparkle.
Now its your turn to come along and enjoy the fun.

Challenge 164 Long time no see......
Hi,
Over at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com it is Raquels turn to choose a theme to play along to. Now where do you begin with this one? Easy you have to make a card which say's either miss you or wish you were here or thinking of you or just "hello". You get the drift!
Here is my take on the challenge
I have made a 6x6 card blank from a vintage pink cardstock. Added a paper I got in a magazine then matted 2 other papers picking up the colours in the stripes. The blue I embossed and the pink hearts I added glossy accents too. The sweet image is from The Hobby House which I matted on to a Spelbinder Sprocket die cut. The sentiment is a HOTP stamp and the pretty flowers are from my stash.
Now its your turn to join in but not before you have checked out the other DT members beauties Oh and don't forget to leave some love so we know you've stopped by.

Mojo Monday challenge 410
Hi,
I really liked this weeks sketch over at www.mojomonday.blogspot.com designed by Julee Tilman. So I thought I'd give it a try.
The card base is bright white in 5x7 size. I added the Theresa Collins paper after a little stitching using foam pads. Then cut a doily out and a scalloped circle to fill. The sentiment is Verve ofcourse and the image is from The Hobby House "time for tea" collection. I added a few liquid pearl drops to the doily and glossy accents to the cherry and hearts.
Thanks for stopping by. Sue

Love You Layout
Hi,
I finally finished the 2nd layout from the June 2015 crop held by Merly Impressions over in Bedford.
This uses the lovely papers from the Kaisercraft Secret Garden collection. As always there is a lot of fussy cutting on Chrissy's layouts which I don't mind at all. The photo is of myself and fiancée (now hubby) at Virginia Waters in we think 1984. I'm so pleased to be able to use up some of my many old photos.
Here is a side view to show a glimpse of the layers.
Thanks for stopping by today.

163 Show us your Decor challenge
Hi again,
This time over at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com it is Sarah's turn to choose the theme and this will be a good one. It is to make anything for any season which you would use to decorated your home. This time around NO CARDS.
For this challenge I decided to show a 12x12 page for my calender which hangs between the kitchen and dinning room as it decorates the wall. But then I found something else to make too so please scroll down.
The calender uses papers from Kaisercraft's 75 cent collection. The photos show my son at about 5 and 18 using a bow and arrow. He had a real love of the Disney movie Robin Hood so had to have a play set to shoot in the back garden and then the second shows him having a go with a real set, hand turned for the chap giving instructions. The page has lots of layers, lots of inking and a few arrows thrown in for good measure lol.
This is my second entry to the challenge, it is a frame I bought ages back and again from Kaisercfraft. It comes with a calendar but if you look you will see it was for 2009 but the days are the same for this year, I will add the correct year in January but for now it is OK. If you don't wish to have the calendar there you could add a photo in to the space.

As you can see I have had to add some flowers and a bee. The sentiment is from Verve and the little tag has "just start" on it again from Verve.
This shows the backside as to how it stays up
Now its your turn to join in the fun so make something and link up with us and if chosen you could be our next Guest Designer.

Mojo Monday 409
Hi,
Thought I'd join in this week with Mojo Mondays sketch 409. I liked the look of it and I needed a card making within their time scale. This card is for my dear uncle who is battling cancer at this time and I wanted him to know we are thinking of him.
I have used a 5x5 card blank and matted DCWV cardstock on top of some Kaisercraft paper. Satin ribbon covers the join. Then as he loves wood turning as his hobby I stamped the sentiment on to a scrap I had left
a little stitching top and bottom of its mat, then another sentiment on to the burnt orange. I cut out the heart to go under and then a couple of small ones to fill in.
Thanks for stopping by today.

A couple I made earlier!
Hello there,
Thought I'd share a couple of cards I have made for an order. They are for the same lady who loves purple and flowers.
Now this second one (sorry about the photo) is a large A5 size card blank. I have used Graphic 45 papers on this along with some velvet ribbon and pearls. I fussy cut out some flowers and added them to the image hence the shadows.
Thanks for stopping by.

Challenge 162 Country Strong
Hello,
It's time for another challenge over at www.myshericrafts.com and this time it is design team sister Peachy's turn. August 2-8 in the USA it is national Farmers Week so to celebrate this she has asked us all to come up with a country theme project.
I have chosen to make the 8x8 Birthday card for my Dad and when he has finished with it it will go in to a deep frame to hang on the wall in either their or my home.
I used a sheet of doily paper on the base then matted on to a gingham sheet two different papers which I attached a ribbon across the join.
The cockerel is cut from a sheet of Graphic 45 paper which I distressed the edges and inked. Then I cut out 12 sunflowers and layered them up around the image using different heights. The Bonne sentiment is cut out of another sheet. I still have plenty of images left and more sunflowers.
Now its your turn to join in make something with a country feel.

Challenge 161 Young Childs Card
Hello,
This time around over at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com it is my turn to pick the theme for us all to play along to and I have chosen "make a young (under 13) child's birthday card". This gives us all plenty of excuse to play along as we all know a young person who will be having a special day soon don't we?
Here is my card and I couldn't have got further away from 13 if I tried lol.
This card was made for an order and I think I used a sketch I found but maybe not!
I used a "Verve" sentiment and lots of Spellbinder dies. I also used a Tim Holtz stencil and painted the hearts on the back plate, I put about 4 layers for depth. I always think a first birthday card is more for the parents and a keepsake rather than something the child will look at and enjoy so plenty time for teddies etc to come.
Have fun with this challenge and link up.

Happy 4th July challenge 160
Hey there,
Its Glenda's turn to choose the challenge over at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com and this time around yes you've guessed it it's 4th July celebrations. Glenda would like you to make a patriotic themed card or project.
As I'm in the UK we don't celebrate this holiday but I do have family over there so I made a card for them in fact I made two!
One thing I have just noticed is that behind the left little flag are 3 gems on one and 3 pearls on the other in red, white and blue. Oh well too late now as they are in the post!
I used a star die from Do crafts and celebrate stamp is from Rubbernecker. The 4th July stamp is from Verve as is the other star die I have used. I used a Fiskers punch for the bottom of the red. The red layer on both is lifted by foam pads. The papers inside the star I picked up a couple of weeks ago.
Hope you will take time and join in with us this time around and who knows you could be our next guest designer.

Cherished Moments
Hi,
Today I have a layout to share with you. Believe it or not I started this one off at a Merly Crop about 8 months ago and yesterday was its time to be finished lol. Well it was raining here so nothing much to do and DH was watching the qualifying for the Grand Prix.
The papers are by Kaisercraft at www.merlyimpressions.co.uk from the Candy Lane collection.

The background paper is a real zesty green colour and so the pink and oranges just pop off the page. The flowers are the backside of the stripe paper. I used a Mather Stewart punch for the boarder strip which has 4 layers.
The photographs were taken in 1969 on a family holiday to Newquay in Cornwall. Myself and two sisters along with Mum and Dad. I added some paper flowers to one frame and cut out the ones to the other. I added some Verve "sprightly sprigs" Oh and the bee my eldest sister will remember why that's there lol. The hearts I have stitched in place but popped up their edges. The sentiments are rub-ons by Kaisercraft too. I added the black dashes as the leaves were a bit lost on the background paper.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Challenge 159...male time!
Hello again,
It's time for another fun challenge over at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com This time my good friend Sandy has the pleasure of picking the theme we are all to play with and she has chosen "make a masculine card or project" so as Fathers Day is fast approaching I decided to do that.
Here is my card, very straight forward a A5 size made from a deep red cardstock. I pricked out the edge of the paper after I ran it through a herringbone embossing folder, I also inked the edge in Brick and used a red thread to stitch.
I used a Verve die to cut the stars which I lifted with foam pads, the sentiment is a Verve one too. Dad and the hearts are cut using my Cricut. The bee charm was off a candle and thought it would work handing from the thread.
Once you have seen all the girls work it's time for you to join in and link up your designs. Have fun.

Silver wedding card
Hi,
Just thought I'd stop by and share this card I made for my friend to give her Sister and Brother in Law in June who are celebrating their 25th anniversary. When we were out last she was looking for a suitable card for them but couldn't find one so I offered to make one for her, sure hope she likes it!
I used my heart stamp by Chloe (I just love it) along with her WOW embossing powder. I also stamped out several flowers and leaves which I cut out and layered up. Several different papers used from my stash and a satin ribbon bow with a beaded pin.
The card 7x7 and here is a front on shot.
Thanks for looking in today.

Viva La Verve May sketch #1

I had so much fun making a couple of cards for last months challenge I decided to carry on in to this month.
Here is my card for this weeks sketch
This is a large A5 card which I matted the music paper on to a co ordinating cardstock then stitched around before I placed down using foam pads. The other two papers are Basic Grey. I printed the sentiment and cut out using Spellbinders dies. I added the lace and a bow but felt it needed more so out came my lovely heart banner, gems and clear sequins. I finished off with dotting the hearts from the banner about.
Thanks for looking in today.

Mojo 396
Hi,
I was asked to make a birthday card and I was looking at my sketches and decided to join in with this weeks Mojo challenge.
Here is what I made.
I used a A5 card as it had to big, then I used a Basic Grey paper I had in my stash. The music paper matched quite well with it but afraid I can't remember who its from. The circle I cut to make sure you could see the opposite pattern. The sentiment I typed and the butterflies are Verve Sidekick which I stamped twice and lifted the top one on each. A few gems and sequins just finished it off.

Birthday Bash Challenge 156 @ MSC
Hello Again,
Well this time over at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com it is Marge's turn to choose the theme and this time around she has come up with a nice easy one of Birthday Bash. Yes all you have to do is make a Birthday card, however it must include a matching envelope.
Here is what I came up with,
This time I decided to make a card for a guy as they can be hard to do and lets face it we always need them too.
My card is 5x5 I have used 2 papers from a DCWV mat stack paper pad I've had for years along with 2 new stamps I picked up at a craft show. The center pint pot has a second layer which you may not see from here. The sentiment is from the set too. I used a little ribbon and a couple of screw head brads just to "man" it up a bit. For the envelope I just stamped the image randomly around the edge and on the back flap allowing space for the address to be written, along with a little inking too.
Here is the card on its own
Now it's your turn to join in with the fun but don't forget the envelope.

Anniversary Flowers
Hi,
Just thought I'd share this little card I made for my Sister and Brother in Law.
I have seen a few like this over on Pinterest and thought I'd take a try. The lattice is a Spellbinder die, I cut the aperture using another SB die. Then taking a piece of acetate I placed my flowers down, once happy I removed excess and attached to the front of the card.

I added sprightly sprigs from Verve and a few gems and pearls. The sentiment is Verve too.

MSC Challenge 155 USA Mothers Day
Well it's that time again for another challenge over at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com . This time my good friend Sandy has chosen the theme of Mothers Day as it is so soon over in the US. We have had ours already so she has also included a side note of a Girly Card as some people may no longer have their Mother with them and there is always a good friend you can post to.
Here is my card, it is a 6x6 and today I have used a cute Magnolia image on there. I chose to give her yellow leggings to match the daffodil which I also picked up in the doily, lace and glitter strip down the left side. That strip of pink flower paper is the last I have and I have hung on to it for ages. The base paper believe it or not is pink too even though it looks a bit coral in this photo! I embossed that first. I added liquid pearl dots in the corners and a few pearls too. The sentiment I printed out as my stamp was too large for the circle.
Now its your turn to join in with us, but first check out the girls and leave a little love.

Viva La Verve #1
Hello,
Today I decided to enter in to www.vlvsketches.blogspot.com on their April sketch #1.
I really liked the sketch and thought I could do something with it. I have made a small A5 card using papers from my stash along with a couple of Verve dies and a sentiment. The sequins are Verve too in blue but they are picking up the colours from around them.
I will put the card in my box ready for when it is needed. Thanks for stopping by today.

Challenge 154 National Humor Month.
Hi There,
It's time again for a new challenge over at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com . Sarah has asked us to use the theme of Humor in our cards today. You will see when you visit the site some cracking styles on show.
Here is my take, it uses a Saturated Canary image of a very slim young lady carrying her lunch. I have been doing Slimming World lately and you just can't believe how much food you can eat! Those who know about Slimming World will know you have to keep in check your "syn's" per day. You can have a home made burger with salad on a wholemeal bap and it would cost you 0 syn's you just can't loose!! well you will loose weight.
The Card is a 6x6 and I took the white dot paper and die cut a few stars out of it, then I hand stitched it to a denim paper which I ruffed the edges of that went on to the card base using foam pads. The image I coloured using Promarkers and matted that on to a denim oval. I used a SB die to make the flowers. The sentiment I printed off the PC.
Now it's your turn to join in the fun and show us your funny side.

St Patrick's Day
Hi,
Design team sister Glenda has come up with the theme St Patrick's Day for us to play along to this time around over at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com. So of course your card or project must have at least one of the following on it. A pot of gold, a leprechaun or a 4 leaf clover. Now thats not too hard is it!
Here is what I have come up with. It is a sweet treat box. My good friend Sandy sent me in the post some little boxes so I set about making the wrap around out of some glittery paper I had. I cut out shapes on all 4 sides so you could peek the "gold" at the end of the rainbow lol. I had to hand cut the clovers as I had none and attached them to the tab top, I also added the Good Luck sentiment too.
Hope you have fun with this challenge.

Welcome Spring. Challenge 151
Hello There,
This time around over at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com it is design team sister Peachy's turn to choose the theme we all play along to. This time it is Welcome Spring. Your card or project must have a spring theme to it.
Here is mine, it's a 5x7 tent fold card this time around.
On this card I used lots of scraps I had in my box which were too good to throw out. The first went down flat and then I embossed the plaid with a ditsy flower and the arrow paper with a hounds tooth folder. Spellbinders have been used also. I coloured in my image using Promarker pens and fussy cut her out. I thought the twine was a good addition to pull it all together. The cute flowers and sprightly sprigs are a favourite of mine at the moment.
Now its your turn to join in with this fun challenge.

Challenge 150 Cherry Pie Day
Hello there again,
This time over at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com design team sister Sarah has chosen the theme of Cherry Pie for us to play along to. Now she did say it didn't have to have a pie on it, it could just have a cherry somewhere on your card or project but I've gone one stage back and I hope she will be OK with me I have cherry blossom on mine.
I made this 6x6 card for my friend who likes beautiful pattern clothing. I used papers from my stash which I have had for a while. The first layer is down flat then I lifted the second on foam pads. The paper is from a oriental paper pad by Docrafts from quite a while back. The Kimono is a peel off I have had for years which I layed on to a sheet of DCWV oriental paper and cut around. The sentiment is made up of stickers from where I don't know but I have kept them for just that certain moment (you know how that is right ?). I added the corner peel offs to bring it together.
Now its your turn to join in. We had such a fab turnout for the last challenge lets do it again.

Sweetheart Time
Happy Saturday,
Over at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com it is my good friend Sandy's turn to choose the theme for the next two weeks. This time she is getting us ready for Valentine's by asking us to create a card or project which MUST include at least one heart.
Now I haven't made a Valentine's card but a birthday card which I was asked to make by a friends husband so I am hoping Sandy will let me have this one. As you can see there are hearts on it. The banner strip has paper with hearts on as does the bunting and there is another soft pink one under the flowers.
Both the ditsy flower paper and the stripe paper are embossed to give texture. I pleated the pink satin ribbon myself then topped with lace which I ran the twine around before attaching it to the card. As you can see everything is matted on brown paper to give the card warmth and age it a little. The leaves are cut using Verve's Sprightly Sprigs die which I recently bought and the flowers and pearls are from my stash.
The card is a 7x7 tent fold. Now please pop over to see what the other girls have made and then join in with the fun.

My Sheri Crafts first of the year
Hello again,
Well its that time again, yes the challenges have started over at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com this year we open with a challenge from our leader Sheri herself. Its so nice when she gets time to join in with us all.
Her challenge to us this time is to make a card which includes a snowflake or two. Now it hasn't got to be a Christmas card but I thought what the heck I'll get a head start so here is what I came up with.

Her challenge to us this time is to make a card which includes a snowflake or two. Now it hasn't got to be a Christmas card but I thought what the heck I'll get a head start so here is what I came up with.
This card uses a wonderful stamp I purchased last year just simply stamped in cranberry ink. I added one of my gifted snowflake diecuts to the edge. I just love that pom pom trim don't you? A little heart button, gems and a Believe stamp and finished.
This card uses Kaisercraft papers and a Tim Holtz Big Die. I trimmed the right edge of the card and placed red down on the back edge so it could be seen to draw your eye to the red in the berries.
The robin and sentiment are on one strip of paper which I cut up. I raised the robin and extra holly leaves and placed over the edge of the sentiment. The holly boarder strips are the bits at the bottom of a Kaisercraft sheet of paper (I keep all of mine) you never know when you need that little something to finish off a edge. Then I added the snow flakes. This card has a great feel and would be good for a guy I think, well my hubby liked it so that's always a good sign lol. Both cards are 6x6.
Please join in with all the fun and check out what all the other girls have made.
Happy New Year

A little gold goes along way
Hello and Happy New Year,
Just thought I'd share this Golden Wedding card I made this weekend for an order.
Just thought I'd share this Golden Wedding card I made this weekend for an order.
I wanted to try out my rectangle die set by Spellbinders on this card. But first I picked out some gold material from my stash which I frayed the edges and stitched to the card. I then ran another sheet of paper through a embossing folder and stitched that to the card too but only on the corners. I cut the rectangle out of a sheet of Kaisercraft paper and mounted it on to gold mirri card which I lifted off the card with foam pads.
I printed out the sentiment and placed it under the next cut of gold. As you can see I put a length of satin ribbon under first and made a small bow too. The leaves are from Sprightly Sprigs die set from Verve and the cream roses are from my stash.
Thanks for stopping by and come back on Saturday when we kick start our My Sheri Crafts cards.
