Favourite Day!

 Hi,

Today it's my turn to share with you a layout I have made for themadscrapper blog. It shows my son meeting with his favourite Dr Who David Tennant. Of course we all have our own favourite but this is his.

The papers I have used are from the latest release from cocoa-vanilla-studio . I trimmed the stardust down to 11 1/4 and added a strip found on universal paper to the righthand side I distressed the edges and added it to a sheet of bazzill/avalanche. I next took the sheet of latitude and tore a piece to fill the left corner, I added some card underneath for dimension. I made a little stack under to go under the photo from the latitude paper using both sides also you can just see the stars from nebula also used.

Next I gathered embellishments I wanted to use. As you can see a lot of them are cut from the papers including the manufacturers strip. You see the Converse shoes, that is from the bottom of a maja-design paper and for anyone who didn't know David always had them on his feet.

The next few photo's are close-ups of the finished page.

This is the title I have used and it is from bramblefox it was in a Autumn kit and it had leaves on a couple of places, I didn't need them so I snipped them off and have them for another day.

This journaling tag is from universal and the little black tabs are from paper-snips-001

Just look at his face, he was so chuffed to meet him and he had a little chat too

Most of the stars which I cut from nebula are raised as are the fussy cut shoes. The Fab frame was in the March FoxBox and I added eclipse under it to help it pop and then I added 6 tiny square gems from my stash.

To finish off I dotted about kaisercraft Gems in clear, white, green, blue and orange. Thanks for stopping by again. Hope you like what you see and I hope it inspires you to use your papers too. If you haven't dipped into this collection yet pop in to themadscrapper and check it out.

Time for Tea Birthday Cards.

 Hello,

Today I'm up on the themadscrapper/blog with these 2 cards I have made using gorgeous papers from maja-design . There are so many beautiful papers by them to be found in the store I am sure you will find one that suits perfectly a person you have in mind.

This is the second a 5x7 tent fold

Both cards have used the same set of papers little street café all listed below.
The first card I used a Dobadoo stencil to draw around to make the card blank and again for all layers.

One of the papers has topper images on one side so I selected a couple and after distressing I added to 2 mats. I also cut out the 90 using my Cricut and stamped my sentiment.

I decided to add some beautiful lace through the centre, I know most of it will be covered but it didn't matter.

I arranged my embellishments on the card front sticking down with  hot glue. I also grabbed some pink flowers to make a cluster under the sentiment.

There was a little gap in the centre bottom so I used the manufacturers strip to make a little banner.

The card sits on a stand which I diecut out and added papers to its front.

I finished off with some gems from kaisercraft . I hope you have enjoyed seeing these and maybe feel inspired to create some of your own. Thanks for stopping by again, don't forget to call over at themadscrapper.co.uk to see all the lovely goodies Janine has in stock.

Spring!

 Hello,

Today I am sharing this hanger I have made for themadscrapper.blog. Are you like me and pick up things and think "I could do something with this" buy it and put it to one side only to find it years later! Well that's what happened with this MDF circle. However when I saw the new papers from 49-and-market I knew what I wanted to do.

I chose my papers first, Bazzill in yellow and green and Natural History a full list will be at the bottom of the page with links.

I started by brushing some green acrylic paint around the edges of the circle and when dry I added the yellow paper and then I cut small hexagons to go around the holes which I will add the ribbon through. Then I fussy cut the flower from the history paper along with a die cut circle and to that I added a few rub-on's. I put foam behind it and then added it to the circle.

Here is a closer look at the rub-on's also I added a sentiment kept from a Kaisercraft paper. You can just tell that the fussy cut flowers have been lifted to for dimension.

Next I took a small white frame and painted it with a mixture of primrose and gold acrylic paint. I went through my 49-and-market/flowers and chose a few to add next to the fussy cut ones. The 2 butterflies are rub-on's I added to card and the little charm is from my stash.

Here you can see I have finished off with some pearls in yellow and green and a few sequins too.

I hope you have been inspired to grab one of those little purchases and jazz it up. Pop over to themadscrapper.co.uk to check out all the new goodies and some familiar favourites too.
Till next time, take care and if you have a moment leave a word or two.

Sue.

A Day to Remember

 Hello,

Today I'm sharing a layout I have made of my late Dad taken sometime in the 1980's. I just love the photo as it shows how thrilled he was to collect his winnings from a small bet on a horse race at the Chester races.

For this layout I have used papers and embellishments from 49-and-market a chipboard and 2 stencil's from the-dusty-attic as well as snippets from my stash of "can't throw away" bits.
I started by stitching around the page using green cotton and on the green paper I used cream. I then took Geo-Star stencil and inked using green then moved it slightly to the right and inked with Vintage Photo. I also used black gesso through the bubble stencil.

Here you can see (just!) my clear embossing through the Heart Attack stencil, I did also try with white below this but I didn't much care for it so I've tried to cover that bit up!! The green paper VAC 33515.

This next photo shows how I like to use up all my scraps, this time stamping out 2 tickets which I believe to be Sue Wilson stamps. I will cut around these. You will see that green strip below the hope stamp elsewhere on the layout.

Oh yes! I used some rub-ons from 49 too and you can just see the doily and tiny heart here.

I made a little cluster here on the middle right using the leftover from the Dream stamp scrap which I have stitched around, topped with a little bit from Simple Stories as is The Very Best. Also you can see a black arrow perspextives pointing to the text and photo.

This shows the large title chipboard which I inked in the same green and brown distress inks. Oops there is that white embossing. This green layer is mounted on cardboard so I could tuck things under.

Now you can see where I added the tickets also more doily and the green strip with added words.

This last photo shows him in his summer hat flashing his Tenner! Ooh look who remembers 7Gypsey's? I picked these up in 2008 and I think I have one left. You can also just see I added some ephemera pieces below the photo too.

Thanks for stopping by again today. Do call in at themadscrapper.co.uk to check out all the lovely papers and other goodies Janine is stocking.
Till next time, take care

Sue.
