Hi,
Today I decided to join in and use the sketch over at www.mojomondayblogspot.com
I decided to make a square card for this challenge.
Here it is, its a small 4x4 card for my son to give a colleague who is leaving for a new job soon.
All the papers are from the same set which I picked up in a sale and they were double sided. I used a Verve sentiment along with another stamp from my collection.
I fussy cut out some flowers for the corners and lifted them with pop dots. Again sorry for the poor photo, it really is nice and bright in real life.

Colour Throw Down #390
Hi,
I always love to checkout the colours over at www.colorthrowdown.blogspot.co.uk and was pleased to be able to join in with them today.
Now look at those wonderful colours.
I had a good root around in my stash and found some golden yellow along with navy. Here is what I came up with.
Now please believe me when I say this is so bright in real life, I really must invest in one of those light boxes as this shot does not do it justice ( sorry DH).
The card is a 5x5 tent fold, I have used stamps and dies from Verve, along with a peeloff and the 'memory' note from my stash.
Thanks for stopping by today.

#180 Make a Shaped Card
Hi,
Over at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com it is owner Sheri's turn to choose the challenge and she has decided on us all making a shaped card. The card must not be square or rectangle so anything else goes.
Here is what I have come up with...
I don't think I am very good at this sort of thing so I played it safe and cut out a small card blank using a Spellbinder Die. I then added a blue layer. The cute image is one off a sheet I bought a while back which came ready coloured in (phew) I also cut that out with a die and matted it on to a dull gold paper.
I cut out some Sprightly Sprigs and a butterfly by Verve and topped it off with three mini flowers and a few sequins. I also added some dots of perfect pearls.
This little Easter card was for my Mum to go along with it I made her a little treat box filled to the top with mini eggs.
Here it is along with what is her new favorite chocolate, Milkybar!!
I hope you have lots of fun making your shaped card, link them up and you could be our next Guest Designer.

Mojo 443, Best day ever
Hi,
I've been lucky and had some free time today so thought I'd have a try at the Mojo Monday sketch #443.
I made a white A6 card blank but in a tent fold, then I took some left over papers from the Shine Bright collection by Kaisercraft and matted them on to it. I used a square of yellow vellum which I ran through a embossing folder first and on to that a polka dot piece with fishtails. The sentiment is from Verve, from Wishing You collection ( a favorite of mine) I cut out stars using their Starry Die too.
The card is lovely and bright, I hope you can tell.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Happiest of Days
Hi,
I love this second sketch from Viva La Verve for April, so thought I'd join in. In fact I have made 4 similar cards using the sketch but different papers. I am just posting this one for now.
This is a small A6 card using up some papers I've had in my stash for a while. The rose paper must be atleast 10 years old!!The love note and polka dot papers are off cuts from papers used on a layout. They are by Kaisercraft from their Shine Bright collection.
I've also used Verve's Wishing You stamp set along with dies from Sprightly Sprigs and Petal Points. I made a little flower and added 3 pearls.
Thanks for stopping by today.

#179 Happy Mother's Day
Hi,
Over at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com they are celebrating Mothers Day. I know we had ours a few weeks back in the UK but here is my chance to share the card I made for my Mum.
Yet again I decided to use the beautiful paper from the Treasured Moments collection found at www.merlyimpressions.co.uk I had only small amounts left so to make the most of it I made a feature out of riping and tearing the paper. I fussy cut a rose and added pop dots under and that is at the bottom. The main sentiment is a stamp from Kaisercraft. I added some gems and glitter pen to the leaves (which I don't think you can see much of). All edges were distressed and inked and I added some stitching too.
I know my Mum loved this, so now lets see your take on the challenge set by my good friend Sandy, remember it must have flowers on it.

April's 1st Viva la Diva.
Here is my second card using the Divas sketch for April.
This 5x7 card is made from a hammered white cardstock. On to that I added a cross hatch embossed piece which I first inked with worn lipstick, wrapped the bakers twine around and mounted using foam pads.
Then using the patterned paper I chose the cardstock to mat and layer on to. I used the happy day sentiment from the Be Blessed stampset from Verve which I mounted on to gold paper. I used the wavy heart die for two embelishments and made two flowers from the papers along with cutting out two sprigs. I added perfect pearls about the patternd paper too.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Mojo Monday 442
Hi,
Over at www.mojomonday.blogspot.com it is time for a contest. So using the sketch I decided to join in. Here is my card, it is a anniversary card one of many I need this and next month.
I took a A5 petrol blue card base and added a Kaisercraft paper which I first embossed and inked with TH spruce ink. The text is all about love and happiness which is suitable for an anniversary card or even wedding.
As you can see I added a double sided ribbon which I added a bow showing the underside with a couple of silver leaves stamped on to acetate. The other papers are Kaisercraft too. I stamped the sentiment from Be Blessed and cut it out using a Spellbinder die and mounted it on to another using the same card stock as the card base. I stamped a little love on to a heart shape then added a few gems to the corners. The Happy Anniversary is a peeloff.
Thanks for stopping by today.

3 Little Cards
Thought I'd share these three little cards I made when using up some papers and die cuts from the Miss Empire Collection from Kaisercraft.
This first is a A6 card which I was going to enter in to this weeks colour throwdown until I realized there was no red in it!!
I also used Verve's butterfly from Die Sidekicks, and the corresponding All of a Flutter die. The sentiment is a stamp I've had for ages. I added a few gems to pick out the green and orange.
This next card is a 5x5 white card blank which I added a small piece of vintage style travel paper. Then I loaded it up with collectables from the Miss Empire set along with a couple of sentiments from Verve off the Be Blessed and Words of Wisdom sets.
This the last card which is also a 5x5 uses up the last of the die cuts and papers. I added a sentiment disc and a couple of cogs.
Thanks for looking in today.

Viva La Verve April 1
I love to look at the sketches from the Diva's on Viva La Verve and decided to join in with this weeks as I had a card that could fit the sketch.
I was making a few cards to sell in a church hall. I had some bits left over from the Miss Empire Collection from Kaisercraft so this card came to be.
It is a small A6 cream card blank to which I added a piece of flourish embossed mustard card, bakers twine, another Miss Empire paper, cream card which I inked and added 3 die cuts which were also inked.
The Get Well sentiment is from HOTP and to finish I added 3 gems.
Thanks for looking in today.
