Under the Mistletoe

Hi,

Today I'd like to share with you a card I made for my husband this Christmas.

Looking at this photo it doesn't look that good but in real life it's quite warm.
I made the card shape from a Dutch Doobadoo purchased from crafteezee.co.uk I cut it out from kaisercraft-smoke-weave-cardstock and then used papers from their Christmas-edition-papers to make the flowers and leaves. I also cut out a sentiment which I mounted on black, I also cut out a lamp too. The Kaisercraft supplies were purchased at Chrissy's online store merlyimpressions.co.uk  The bow is black satin with a sheer silver one on top. There is glitter glue dotted around as well.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Winter Wonderland Reminder

Hello There!

Today I'd like to share with you all a card I have made for our Besties International December challenge. As always we are a anything goes challenge but we do have a theme and this month it is Winter Wonderland .

So here is my second project for the month.

For this card I've used the sweet image img707  which I coloured in with my Promarker pens. I have also used papers from my stash and flowers from a tiny piece of Graphic45 which I had left over.
The card is a 6x6 cream base and to finish off I added a couple of holly leaves and a cute wavy sentiment.

I do hope you can come and join in with us, there are images to win and a Guest Designer spot if you choose.

I'm entering here too noordesign-uk.blogspot.december-challenge

Winnie and snow friends.

Hello there,
As I mentioned in my last post I am posting twice today and here it is!

This is my second post for the new challenge over at Lil patch of crafty friends. As always a anything goes challenge with some super prizes to be won. Today we have 2 great sponsors one of whom has supplied us with this wonderful image to colour & create with Polkadoodles.co.uk  Here is my card

This card I have made using a Dutch Doobadoo Shape Art stencil from the wonderful  .crafteezee.co.uk
shop. I have covered it in paper from Kaisercraft which I first stitched around with red metallic thread. I have used images from a sheet of Graphic45 paper along with a sketchy heart cut out from red glitter paper on the left hand side. I also cut out two trees using the red and chocolate  glitter paper (this I've had for years in my stash bought from the kids section of a craft store) used for the heart. I added a sentiment to the top right (another old stash item) and to finish off a selection of flowers, leaves and berries.

The image is that of Snowman-friends  part of the Winnie White collection. I have coloured her in using my Promarker pens and matted her on to some red glitter paper too. Polkadoodles.co.uk are giving the winner a gift voucher for £6.75.

I do hope you can come on over and play this time around. Thanks for stopping by today and let me know you have been by leaving a word or two.

Emma the Snow Angel.

Hello there,

Today I'd like to share with you the card I have made for our new challenge which is #71 over at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends

We have 2 wonderful sponsors this time around and the first is Fred She Said and they are giving away a gift certificate for $10.

I have chosen this lovely image called Emma the Snow Angel . To be honest there were so many lovely images it was so hard to choose. They are even available coloured in too.

I have made this card base out of cream cardstock and its odd in size because I printed out the image a bit too big so the card is 6x7. I added first a green paper which I ran through a swiss dot embossing folder. Then on to that I added a muted Christmas red doily. The stripe paper from Kaisercraft helped me decide the colours used for the image which I coloured in using my Promarker Pens.
I used my Cricut Machine to cut 2 stars in the RolyPoly cut at 51/4 one in the deep red and the other in the stripe paper. I distressed the edges. I also cut out the letters for SNOW in the red and green used else where on the card.
The image is matted on to green and added to the card. I also cut out some stars and dotted them around and a few touches of glitter glue too. I decided to add a wee tag to which I added a snowflake charm and a metal plate with the word ANGEL on it. This I have had in my stash for well over 10 years!!

Come back a little later today to see another card I have made using a image from our second sponsor.

I do hope you will come over and join in the fun. Thanks for stopping by today.

A Bestie Wonderland

Hello again,

Today I'm here to share my project for the Bestie International challenge blog. As you know this is a any thing goes challenge with the added twist of a theme, this month it is Winter Wonderland. Which basically means anything with a "chilly" feel to it lol. If you join in with us (and I hope you do) you stand the chance of winning some super images by Sherri Baldy.

Here is what I came up with this time around a sweet little gift bag to house a little Christmas gift.

The bag is just 5 inch square out of kraft paper and on to that I added some soft green/blue gingham paper. then using papers from the same paper pad I cut out the sentiment (3times for depth) the trees and the snowflake. I also cut out the horizontal strip and ran that through an embossing folder and on to some red glitter card. I let it hang over a little. I tied some red twine around the handle and added some red sequins too. The centre snowflake I painted with white paint and touched the trees with it too.

The cute little image is called Lil Rosie NEW Boots and I coloured her in using my Promarker pens. She is cut out using a Spellbinder die and mounted on to red glitter card.
Thanks for stopping by, nip on over to checkout the other girls makes (there are some stunners!) and then link up your own little beauty.

Jingle Belles Rock (Albeit I'm a bit late!)

Hello There,

I'd like to share today 3 cards I made to join in with the jinglebellesrock.blogspot. challenge a couple of weeks back but unfortunately I was too late! The challenge was to include a animal.

All were made using a cream card base, the top 2 are 5x7 and the last is a cute 5x5. I have used a sheet of Graphic45 Christmas paper/images. Brown card for the first mat and green for the next which has been run through an embossing folder. The top 2 have their images matted on to brown which was gutted from the first (I can't waste card!) layer. I added the image on a angle and finished with a holiday greeting and glitter glue. The last has some spare Graphic45 card as the central mat and the image is matted on to another scrap of green. To this card I added some holly leaves and berries and a little brown banner.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Today I'm sharing over at:

Show Us Your Fall Colours

Hi,
It's reminder time over at Bestie International and we are still looking out for your Autumn Colours if your going along with our theme, if not just join in with anything goes.

Here is what I made this time around

It is a little 5x6 card to say Thank You. These I find always useful to have in a draw to give someone for a act of kindness they show you along the way.
I used some dot paper first and to that I added a panel from a Kaisercraft paper which had the swallows in it. I also used my banner die from Verve and another which is this lovely Thank You sentiment. I added a few dots of pumpkin liquid pearls too.
The image is Gill Day Dreaming and I coloured her in using Promarker pens and then fussy cut her out and lifted her on foam pads sitting on the banner.

Thanks for stopping by, leave a word or two as it's nice to read you.

Someone Special

Hi,
Today I'm sharing a card I made for my best friend Sandy's birthday. As she is a crafter too its always hard to come up with something new for her. I decided not to colour in a image this time (partly because she's 10x better at it than me) but to use another Dutch Doobadoo shape art called Fantasy A5. which I purchased at the wonderful Crafteezee online store

I cut the shape out in light purple and matted on to it BoBunny paper. I cut out a couple lace boarders along with a selection of leaves, a butterfly and the main owl panel on the front which I stamped my sentiment on to from the Verve stamp set called Simply Amazing . Then I took a selection of flowers picking up the colours from the papers and arranged them down the left hand side. A couple of sequins and were done.
Oh no I almost forgot, I added a little bronze charm which I filled with purple glitter glue to pull it all together. The Antique-Bronze-Filagree-Oval-Frame  is also from Crafteezee.co.uk

Here is a slight side-on view

Thanks for stopping by today and Happy Birthday my super friend. x

A Christmas Jar

Hi,

Welcome to another post showcasing our challenge #69  over at lilpatchofcraftyfriends.blogspot.   As always we are a Anything Goes challenge which just so happens to have some wonderful sponcors and this time we have 2  Peppercus-design.  giving away 3 images and the wonderful Bugaboostamps.com.  giving away 4 images

I have chosen to use the Christmas-jar which I have coloured in using my Promarker pens.

I made a 5x7 tent fold card and used papers to match some of the colours I had used. There had to be red so that became the main mat along with the ric rac ribbon. As the image had 2 lovely stars in it I added some more which I die cut out. The two sentiment stamps are odd ones which I can't remember who made them.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you can come on by and add your own creation for a chance to win. Check out what the rest of the team have made.

Halloween Sweet Treats

Hi,
It's reminder time over at Bestieschallenge. and we are still enjoying our theme of "spirits bright" which can either be for Christmas or Halloween! You can of course do your own thing as we are a Anything Goes challenge.

Here is what I have made,

I have used this cute little witch found here at the My Bestie Shop she is called Broom Hilda Boo there are lots of other image's there to choose from too.
I coloured her in using my Promarker Pens and matted her on to a Spellbinder mat. The greeting is from a sheet of Graphic45 paper and I added a couple of mini bats too.

The sweet treats are sitting in a little basket I saved from a gift which housed mini soaps. I painted it with mat black by Kaisercraft then added a Verve boarder strip. Then I added tiny dots of perfect pearls in orange, green and purple. Once dry I stuffed in some tissue paper and topped it off with a bag of M&S Halloween chocolate balls covered in foil with either pumpkin faces or eyeballs.

Thanks for stopping by again today, if you like what you've seen please leave me a comment.  Don't forget there is still time to join in the fun and get your chance to bag a prize or two.

Welcome to the world

Hello,

Today I am sharing a New Baby card which I made for my friend to give her long awaited Grandson. He was born yesterday 8Lb 4oz and mother and son doing well. I didn't want to share till the happy event happened.

This card is a big A5 size in a bright white card base and on to that you can see I have added baby blue polka dots. Then I cut out that beautiful white frame. I used this fab stamp from Verve along with the cute Emery Plain Jane stamp which is on offer at the moment for under a $. As you can see I paper pieced him.
I stamped and cut out the baby in the basket and various other images from a Sue Willson die set called Pitter Patter. The addition of a few gems some lace, buttons and a bow and we were done.
My friend wrote her own verse for the inside of the card (something she likes to do) which was lovely.

Thanks for stopping by today, leave a word or two as its nice to know what you think.

Spirts Bright

Hello there,

Today I'd like to share a little card I made for my Mum this last Christmas. Yes I know it's well past but realized I never got to show it, so here goes. Also being the first of the month it is new challenge time over at Besties challenge blog and for the month of October we have a theme of "spirits bright" now this could be taken as Halloween spirits or Christmas so as you see I've gone for the later. You don't have to follow the theme as we are a "anything goes" challenge.

This cute card I made using a dusty pink card blank, adding this lovely dotted paper after I had stitched around the edges using the green thread. I put down a simple mat for her again picking up some green and I inked the edge of the top one with red. I used this darling Christmas-bestie-img380 which I coloured in using Promarker pens. I added her to a scalloped oval in a darker shade to pop her out.
Then to finish off I added a couple of Christmas trees which my friend Sandy sent me and a few snowflakes and the sentiment I printed out.

Thanks for stopping by today. Don't forget to share your makes with us as prizes can be won.

Still friends over at Besties International.

Hi, it's the 15th so time to show my reminder post for Besties challenge.blogspot.
We are still celebrating Friendship and today I decided to make a gift bag using this lovely image by Sherri Baldy img439 Well they look like friends don't they!

I just took a small kraft gift bag and covered with a thickish paper which i thought would give it some stability, the paper has gold swirls on it which looked quite Christmasy. To that I added a lime green banner by Verve on top of some gold mirri. The tag and its sentiment are also by Verve check out the store for all the wonderful stamp sets and dies.
I coloured the image in with my trusty Promarker pens and mounted it on to more gold mirri. Putting the rest together came quite easy, a cream doily first then some holly leaves then some floss and a beautiful crinkled red rose.
The gold Merry Christmas is one of the last 6 I have by Craftwork Cards and the "don't open" I've had for a while too, who by? I popped that on to some lime green too. Just to balance the bottom I added some ribbon which has gold stitching on it along with a dot of gold glitter in the centers.

Here is a closer look

There is still plenty of time to play along with us, as always anything goes but also a theme of Friendship this month.

Shape Card.

Hello,
Today I'd like to share a card I made for a friend to give her Grandson for his first birthday. This lady has just started ordering cards from me so I wanted to make sure I "wowed" her lol. I'm sorry the photo is so dark as the card isn't ! Just think pastel blues 😊.

I chose to make a shaped card as they are so different and never found in the shops over here. I used papers and card from my stash and a mixture of stamps and dies. Where I can there is a list at the bottom.

The card shape was made using a Dutch Doobadoo Shape-Art-A4-Square-2.  found at NoorDesign! UK Shop Unfortunately out of stock as I type but other great shapes available.
Sue Wilson "pitter patter" die set.
Tim Holtz "scribble" heart die.
Sentiment stamp is from a new set over at shopverve. however I bought it as a single.
Crochet doilies are from merlyimpressions.co.uk which are on offer at the moment.
Other bits are from my stash such as buttons, sequins and thread.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Friendship time over at Besties International

Hi,
Today being the 1st September means it is time for a new challenge over at Bestieschallenge.blogspot. as always we are a Anything Goes Challenge but we also have a theme running to which this month long is one of Friendship.
For my card i have used the image Carley & Gill  (it reminds me of myself and my own Bestie). I picked up a pack of these odd shaped cards at a show years ago and decided today was the day to use one!

I covered the card base in this marbled type paper i picked up in the store and then added flourishes and corners in a similar cardstock to the colour of Gills pants.
I coloured the image in using my promarker pens along with some new "skin tones" pens by Spectrum Noir.

This next photo shows a little better the side on view and its opening.
I added lots of ditsy flowers picking up the colours I used in the colouring. The sentiment is by Verve Stamps but this one is now not available on its own but happy to say you can get a similar one within a New Release Set out just last week Bloom Bright .

Now its your turn to show us your friendly cards and don't forget there are prizes to be won when you join in.

SOS Favorite Season

Hi,
Today I'm really pleased to share with you a little card I made just to join in with the new challenge over at Shopping Our Stash#318-your-favorite-season.
The challenge is to share your favourite season and mine is SUMMER, closely followed by fall. This card pleases me also because I got to use my new flamingo die on it lol.

I follow a certain ladies blog (llaurenb.blogspot. ) who I feel sure is at her happiest if she can get a flamingo (or Washi tape) somewhere about her creation lol. You must go and check her out as Lauren makes some wonderful things and I often tell her I wish I could get inside your head!

So on to this card, its a 5x7 bright white card blank which I have added bright pink card to. Then a few months back I was lucky enough to win this cute paper pad from Ribbongirls.blogspot.
by Echo-park called summer-bliss so I have used 2 different sheets out it and punched holes and threaded raffia through. The "enjoy summer and flip flops are better" are from a page by Kaisercraft  but I'm afraid I can't remember which! both have been matted on to card in the colours of the flip flops.
The sun is from a die set  by Verve and my new flamingo die was cut out using the bright pink card and some a little lighter. A few pearls in the bottom of the main sentiment and we are done.

Thanks for stopping by today, if you like what you see maybe you could leave a word or two as I enjoy reading them.

Moment in Time.

Hi,
Today I'd like to share a layout I made for myself of my younger self. This uses papers found over at Merly Impressions.  Along with flowers and extra stamps too.

The papers are from the Honey-chai-collection which I've held in my stash for sometime now lol. I used another page to cut out extra flowers and the Dream sentiment. The type strip sentiment is one I kept off another sheet probably from another collection altogether! I stamped a few butterfly's on to the paper and a few others I coloured and added afterward along with the flowers.

The photos are of me when I left home. Standing in front of the van which my darling Dad drove me down in with lots of stuff friends and family had given me to set up my little flat. The other photo is taken a year later when I came home for one of my visits and I was ready to go out dancing with my sister Bev in Chester.

Oh how I remember those days fondly. Thanks for stopping by today.

Ruby Wedding Card

Hi there,

Today I'd like to share a card I made for an order. I've been waiting to use this die from Tim Holtz as I've seen so many beautiful cards on Pinterest using it. So when the order came in I knew what I was making!

This is a A5 bright white card blank to which I have added a slightly smaller ruby red light card to. Then taking the same white card cut at 8x51/2 I die cut the flourish die from the set out of the left hand side. Using my  Love Everlasting by Verve  stamp set I printed the sentiment in jet black.

I used Sizzix number die for the 40 which is cut in ruby glitter card. Then taking paper flowers from Kaisercraft and my stash along with 2 leaf dies I made a arrangement in the top right corner. I also added Verves Holiday Sequin mix for a bit of bling.

I've coloured him in with my Promarker pens. I've used alsorts of papers on this card as I can't throw anything out. The little metal tag I have had since I started crafting back in the early 1990's (I knew it would find a use one day lol).

Nana's Darling!

Hi,

Just wanted to share a card I made for a friend to give her Granddaughter

This is a first on two levels. The first is the fact that this card has no back and sits on this stand which I made for it. The second is this is the first time I have used an image by All Dressed Up Stamps I've only just found them and I adore them. I love the fact that they are so simple but so usable on every level. The image was a freebie given away a short while ago to help people get started and join in with her monthly challenges.

I used papers from a paper pad I picked up in the store so all the hard work has been done on that front. I used a stencil by Dutch Doobadoo Shape-Art-A5-Square. found here at NoorDesign! UK Shop/Crafteezee I have also used several different dies one of which is the scribble heart by Tim Holtz. I've added lace, glitter, ribbon and a metal charm.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:-

Pitter Patter.

Hi,
Here I am with another card to share. This time around it is for a friend who is expecting anyday now the arrival of their baby daughter.
I saw a card by Little Meg's Cards on Pinterest and I loved it using this pretty image and I fell in love with the way she had coloured in the dress so I copied it!

The card is a 6x6 bright white base and on to that I've added pink gingham paper which I have stitched around opposite corners. I added these white corners on top to which I dotted liquid pearls in baby pink and pearl colours.
I matted the silver foiled card on to the same pink the image is matted on to. I had to use the heart banner (it is my favorite) and the Pitter Patter from a Sue Wilson die set was added to a flag banner. A few hearts dotted around and we are done.
The image is by Stamping Bella - Uptown Girls and I have coloured her in with my Promarker pens and added glitter when dry.

Salty Kisses xxx

Hello There,

It's time again to share with you a card I have made for the new challenge over at Besties International . This month our challenge is as always anything goes but also we are using the theme Nautical. For this you could use anything found on, in or around the sea or seaside. I made this for my uncles birthday (he lives by the seaside).

Here is what I have made,

It's a 5x7 cream card base and on to that I've added a cream paper which I have first stamped a texture background stamp by Kaisercraft found Here then I brushed over it with Cosmic Shimmer Powder in pearl. I then added papers from Kaisercraft and DCWV all mounted on plane cardstock to match the colours used.
The image is _Img396 found here at My Bestie Shop she is cute don't you think? I've coloured her in with my Promarker pens and cut her using a Spellbinder die adding a small mat to her. A little foliage and a few sea type mini buttons give some balance to the card. To finish off a few drops of Perfect Pearls.

Now it's your turn to join in the fun. Remember the new rules we have to make it more fare for non-Dt's to win the most images for the month.

Heartfelt Wishes

Hi,
Today I'd like to share with you a little card I made using this sweet image I have had sitting on my desk for months!
The card is a 6x6 bright white card blank and on to that I have added 2 papers from the same paper pad. The first I ran through a embossing folder and the second I cut a little smaller and added on top.
The navy blue corner added interest to which I added a pale blue gem. The faux ribbon is a die my Bestie gave me for my last birthday, I added a gem to that too.

The image was cut out using a stitched die and I inked the edges with soft blue. I added it to a Spellbinder layer.
The sentiment I felt could be either for sympathy or sickness/get well.

Thanks for stopping by today, if you have the time leave a word or two.  I am entering this card in the following Blog Challenges too.

Friends are Flowers

Hi there,

Well its time to share with you all my reminder project for this months challenge over at Bestieschallenge.blogspot.  Remember it is a anything goes challenge but we do have a theme running to and it is Sparkle Glam or Glitter.

I've used a image found here at  mybestiesshop.com  she is called IMG806,Fashionista,Besties and when you buy her you get 2 images, the other is her head & shoulders.

I've made a card again this time, it is a 5x7 bright white card blank and I've used papers to cover it all from the same paper pad. I then set about colouring her in using my Promarker pens.
I added some glitter glue to her bodice and the flowers. I used my stitched die to cut her out and I added her with pads for lift. The sentiment is by Sue Wilson and I matted that on to some lime green to match her top.
I found paper flowers in my stash similar to those on her hat and to those I added pearl brads. A few bling gems and the card is complete.

I am entering this card in to the following challenges

A Sunny Thank You!

Hello and I hope your enjoying this beautiful weather we are having here in the U.K. at the moment?

I'm a lover of all things Verve and I'm so happy because they are back after a long break with a New Release Blog hop. You can find it Here . Yesterday Betty made a lovely card using blue and yellow and I thought it so striking I told her I was going to make a card using those colours. So here it is...

The card is a 5x7 cream card blank and on to that I have added a slightly smaller piece of Bayu paper by Kaisercraft. Then I've taken a piece of cream card and out of that I've cut using one of my new Tim Holtz Mixed Media dies#2. Then I've taken stamps and dies from Be Blessed stamps by Verve . I placed 3 straight on to the cream card and coloured in with my Promarker pens. Then on another piece I stamped and then cut out 3 more.
I added those on foam pads and added a pale blue gem. Around the flat 3 I added dashes with a blue pen. The sentiment is also by Verve from the Simply Amazing set.

Fabulous at 50!

Hello,

Well it's 1st July and so time to start a new challenge over at Besties International challenge . I hope you have seen that the rules have been changed a bit. Now we will have the main winners from the entrants who are NOT from Bestie Design Teams, then Bestie DT members will be in their own group to win too.

As always we are a "anything goes" challenge but we do have a theme to play along with too and this month it is Sparkle Glam & Glitter. Amongst the imagies you can win is the Bestie Beauty I have chosen to use IMG811 Fashionista   isn't she gorgeous? Very Audry Hepburn I think.

I was asked to make a card for someone who sells Avon and she is very glamorous so I thought Yes this is the right image.
The card is a 6x6 bright white blank which I covered in a black paper, then I added this Paris theme paper which I have had for some time. I added papers which matched her dress and trims. My own Bestie Sandy Palmer sent me some die cuts last year and one of them was this Eiffel tower which I think goes well there at her side. 3 pretty flowers pick up the one on her dress and of course a few black pearls were needed too.
Thanks for stopping by today, hope you can join in with us over at the challenge.

Drummer Boy

Thanks for stopping by today,

Here I have a small card I made to play along with a couple of fun Christmas challenges.

This is a cute 5x5 card blank in bright white to which I have added this fun paper which believe it or not is from a summer paper pad, one I won last month from Ribbon Girl.co.uk it is called Echo Park Summer Bliss the paper is double sided and I thought "why not".
To this I tied some red twine which I'd added a metal snowflake charm to. Then down went a music flourish and then a distressed bit of music paper. I then took my image which can be found Here and he is Scann0082 Drummer Boy which I coloured in with my Promarkers. I added some sprigs at the bottom and then dotted some bright red stars around.

Colour it Reminder Time

Hi,

It's 15th of the month and time for a reminder post for the current challenge over at coloritcreateitshowitoff.blogspot. It is as always a anything goes challenge so come on over and show us what you have been creating. There are prizes to be won!

Here is what I made for you all today..

I thought I'd do a fold back card this time. It is a cute 5x5 cream card blank for which I covered the back and the front fold in a dusty pink card. Then to the back I added a slightly smaller DCWV "Happy Birthday" paper and the a thin strip of their glitter card to the front panel.
I chose to use this darling image # img831 which can be purchased Here if you enter you could win her!
I coloured her in using my Promarker pens. Here is a photo showing a little of the inside.

I mounted her on to a butter yellow and then pink card and added her to the front panel. As she is surrounded by sewing bits and bobs I included buttons to the top left and bottom right corners, one being a orange heart one matching the button on her blouse.
I have pricked around the edges of several layers to keep with the theme of the image.

Thanks for stopping by today, please come over and share your makes.

Reminder Time at Besties International

Hello,

Well it's the 15th so it can only mean its time for a reminder of the challenge over at Besties challenge.blogspot.
We are still running with our theme of Steampunk and this time I've made a large tag which I intend to add to the front of a gift bag at some point!

I have used this cute little person ( could be a girl or guy I thought!) img131_Steampunk and I chose to colour him in shades of lavender. I used my Promarker pens and then I cut him out.
I made a tag using a DCWV paper pad and embossed a cogs frame (which you may just see on the right hand side) and inked it. Then I ripped a Lawn Fawn paper to fit the left side and inked that too. I cut out several cogs using my Spellbinder set and added those.
Then I chose some sentiment stamps from Kaisercraft at Merly Impressions. and added those along with a couple of glittery whirls and a brad. I chose purple gingham and shimmery green ribbon to tie at the top.

Thanks for stopping by, leave a word or two so I know you called in.

Peace On Earth!

Hi,
Today I'm sharing a card I've made to join in with the challenge over at Jinglebellesrock.blogspot. This time around they would like cards to be made with layers. The challenge is called Bundled Up.

Here is what I have come up with...

There are 4 layers to this card so I hope it cuts the mustard!

The card is a 6x6 cream card stock which I first added the Wise Men paper to. The image is on a double sided paper/card so once I cut that out using my stitched oval I turned it over, embossed it, distressed the edges and inked it and to complete the look I added a copper/brown lace piece. I spared a small piece which had the words Silent Night on and distressed that hanging it over the edge a bit.

Then I cut out fern leaves and added those along with a couple of handmade paper straws. Then I added the image and to complete the look I added  a couple of baby fern cones and 4 paper poinsettias which I made. The sentiment is by RubberNecker Stamps.

I'm joining in with the following challenges too

Little Miss Cutie Pie

Well here comes summer, I hope!

And what do we all love? Nothing better than a good old slice of Nana's homemade apple pie with lashings of thick cream or hot custard. That was just what I thought when I saw this darling image Img664 I call her Bestie Baked in a Pie! I've made this card for the new challenge starting over at color it create it show it off.

My very own bestie helped me with the idea of the shape of this card as I was a little stuck shall we say!! She knows what I mean here lol.
I've made a circle easel card out of cream card stock, just short of 6inches. I've coloured her in using my Promarker pens and matted her on to lavender glitter card. I took 2 circles of lavender paper and ran them through a embossing folder before adding to the card. I then added a circle of dot cream paper. A few flag banners and flowers and I was done!
The stopper is a red apple from my stash and there is another flower behind.

OK so now it's your turn to join in with us. As always we are a Anything Goes challenge and we have prizes to be won too, so come over and join in the fun.

Steampunk fly, soar,dream

Hello,
Well it's the beginning of June so that must mean two things!  Summer and time for another fun challenge over at besties challenge.blogspot.

This month our theme is as always anything goes but also we have a theme and for June it is Steampunk.  For this challenge I have used this wonderful SteamPunk Fairy Image 103 I decided to make a easel card using a burnt orange cardstock which so happens to go with her glasses and boot top.

The card base and top are covered with postmark paper leaving a slight boarder. I have added flourishes in pale blue and dusty pink under the image, along with a selection of cogs. Because she is wearing a sheer skirt I picked that up in the ribbon used at the bottom. I picked up those Zipper roses in a sale a short while ago.

Here is a side view, it shows a Birthday message strip behind the fold and also you can see how the two sentiments out front hold the easel back.

I do hope you will come and join us this month in the fun, prizes to be won too. Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to say Hi.

Guest Designer for Die Cuttin Divas.

Hello,

Today I'm really pleased to have been asked to be the guest designer over at   Die Cuttin Divas blogspot
and this time around it is anything goes.
So I have made for you something new! Yes it is a card "but not as we know it". It has no back to it, it is more like a huge tag. I have a verse on the back but it requires a stand to keep it up for display. When it is finished with it may go in a shadow box. This card is in fact my anniversary card to my husband.

I have used a new product to me called a Dutch Doobadoo which are available in many different designs and this one is called   -111Shape-Art-A4-Square-2. and it is available here at Noor Design! UK Shop .

I cut out the base layer in cream cardstock and then using the next layer in the stencil I cut the pink paper which I then ran through an embossing folder and brushed over with Antique Linen ink. The black frame is by Tim Holtz and the sentiments are by Verve  and this set is called Love Everlasting
I stamped them on to the same cream cardstock as the base card and cut the main sentiment out using a stitched die and added a red mat under it. The other I hand cut with the same two mats under. I added some cheesecloth and then centered it all on top.
I then gathered together 3 flowers from Ribbon Girl , a heart pin and some twiddly bits and added them to the left hand side. I had kept the pearl heart off something else and added that along with 3 shades of red gems and clear sequins and I was done.

I'd like to thank Georgiana for giving me this opportunity, I follow her blog and am always amazed at her wonderfully bright makes (comes from living in the sunshine state I guess) I hope you all enjoy your day. Leave a comment or two as its always nice to see who has stopped by.

Golden Day

Hello,

Today I'd like to share with you all a card I made today using this weeks Mojo-Monday sketch #499 . It's a really easy to use sketch and I will probably use it again.

This is for friends who will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary soon. I have made a square 6x6 card blank in soft cream and then using papers from my stash I have layered up the card. You can't tell from this shot but the "just for you" is the 4th layer up. I have used foam pads to give lift.
The banner is by Verve.  and the 50 is cut using my Sissix Die.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you can leave a few words as it's always nice to read them.

Dream 2017

Hello,

Today I'd like to share with you a card I made for my neice who has just started her school exams. I wanted her to know that we were all thinking about her and wishing her well.

I took a 6x6 bright white card blank and to that I added this lovely Lawn Fawn paper but not before I had distressed the edges. Then taking a plain blue and yellow card matching the stripes I added a piece of this butterfly paper and notelet paper to each and set them off at a jaunty angle. I cut the 2017 out of the same card.
Then I cut 2 circles and added to them my sentiments. To one I added a spare butterfly. A free pearls
and we are ready.
Thanks for stopping by today, leave a few words so I know who's stopped by.
