Hi,
Well it is time for a new challenge over at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com and this time around it is my good friend Sandy's turn to choose. Sandy has decided it would be fun to get all LOVED up so lets all make a valentines card.
Here is my take on the challenge
I am such a huge fan of Verve stamps and I saw a similar card made by Julee Tilman I just loved its simplicity I just had to have a go myself. I made a couple of alterations and I used up my very last bit of this lush red flower trim.
The stamps are from Verve and I used side kicks and wings of love along with the heart banner die.
I cut the wings out twice and trimmed off a little then popped it up. Then I stamped and embossed the heart and cut that out with the wavey heart die. I stamped the love and cut it out with a tiny oval die of Verve's.
Here is another card I decided to make for this challenge, not quite so CAS.
The background paper I have had for years and couldn't think when I would use it but hey here it is lol. I de-bossed it first with Sue Wilson's heart folder, then added different papers on red mats. On one I wrapped some lovely sparkly gold ribbon around along with some lace, then added a huge bow. The heart is a Spellbinder die. I added two different sentiment stamps along with a few more hearts.
Now it is over to you, make a valentines and link it up to the site and you could be our next guest designer.

Mojo Monday #431
I made this card today for someone special who is taking a new path in their career. I felt the text which is at the bottom of one of the papers from the "shine bright" collection from Kaisercraft works so well. The papers were in a kit from a crop held by Chrissy who owns www.merlyimpression.co.uk and these were bits left over.
Thanks for looking in today.

Fussy Cutting #173
Well its time to join in with another fun challenge over at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com and this time around it is Sarah's turn to choose and for me this couldn't be a better one. Sarah has chosen for us all to add some "fussy cutting" to our projects.
I just love to fussy cut, I attend a crop (when I can fit it in) held by Chrissy of www.merlyimpressions.co.uk and her layouts always include fussy cutting. So this layout was made at one of those last year.
This photo is of myself and my darling husband on our wedding day back in 1986!! All the flowers and leaves were cut out by hand and layered using silicon glue adding lots of depth
Here is the paper I used to cut up it is called Roses from the Secret Garden Collection.
Here is another page I made this week but using a photo from 2007 which my husband took when we visited Pisa and the leaning tower. The papers are from Michelle Collins, Kaisercraft and Unknown. The grey paper is cut at 10 inch sq of which you can see I gutted some to fussy cut the flowers along with the off cut. The photo I mounted on to the Rose paper but first I cut in to the design so the flowers would fall over the photo. I raised some of the extra cut flowers using Pinflare then added some black Stickles glue. The two sentiments are also from a Michelle Collins paper.
I hope you will now give your scissors a bit of an airing and join in with this great challenge.
Have fun and Happy Crafting
Sue.
