Hello,
Today I'm up on the The Mad Scrapper Blog with this layout of my sister and her family. On a lovely bright February day they went to their local beach for a walk. When she sent me the photo I knew I needed to create a layout for her own scrapbook.
I have used the beautiful Uniquely Creative Boho Soul Collection with a tiny amount of Gypsy Heart too.
I started by trimming the Be Free paper down to 11 1/4 distressed the edges and added it to Bazzill - Stonewash but not before I gutted out the centre. I added the photo to a mat of Grateful and then on to a eucalyptus green passing it through the note book punch. I put cardboard under to give lift allowing me to tuck things underneath. As I've been crafting for a good few years I found this frame which I added Grateful paper and popped it under the photo. The mustard tabs were added because of Jaynes coat and I wanted to break up the blues. I fussy cut the Grateful and added cardboard under for stability and lift. Now we were ready to embelishment!
I wanted to do one big cluster around the bottom right so I chose lots of flowers and leaves layering on top of one another some I added a foam pad to. I cut out some sprigs in Yukon and tucked them around.
The top right needed something to balance so I added a fussycut feather along with leaves and tiny flowers. The the snippet is perfect for the layout.
Here you can see how I lifted a couple of the elements and I added pearls and stars too
Here is a closer look at the main cluster, lots of layers of fussycut elements from the Grateful paper.
Thanks for stopping in today I hope you are inspired to do a bit of fussy cutting yourself as the Uniquely Creative collections all have a sheet for you to do this with. Pop in to see Janine and I'm sure she will show you around them all if not go to The Mad Scrapper and grab a coffee and look at your leisure.
Sue.
