Challenge 195, think winter!

Well this fortnight it is my turn to choose the theme over at My Sheri Crafts and in readiness for the busy time of the year for us card makers I have chosen for us to make a card or project with a "Winter" theme. Now it hasn't got to be Christmas it could be any winter holiday.

Here is what I have come up with,

This is a 6x6 bright white card blank which I have matted on to it a smooth green card and then a almost knitted looking black paper which first went down on to red and then gold mirri card. The image is by Elizabeth Bell by Hobbyhouse, which I cut out using a stitched circle die. I matted that on to the same green and gold as before. I quite liked offsetting the circle to one side giving me room to add a cluster of snowflakes along with a few dots of perfect pearls and a gold sentiment on a tiny banner.

Please pop over and check out the other girls ideas and then when your ready link up your card.

  1. Beautiful Sue! Love the design and offset of the circle. Such a pretty image too! Great job as always!

  2. such a beautiful combination of elemebts, the black/charcoal "knitting" is particularly inspired, it sets off the snowman perfectly and really really makes that awesome snowflake corner POP!!! <3

  3. Such an adorable card Sue. Love the gold mirri. Wonderful design. Beautiful card. :)
    Hugs, Sandy.

  4. Such a darling snowman, Sue, and beautifully colored! I especially like the cascading snowflakes on the side! hugs, de
