Hello,
Today you find me over on The Mad Scrapper Blog with this darling Easter Layout using photos taken this year of my cousins daughter and little family. For this layout I have used beautiful spring themed papers by Maja Designs along with solids by Bazzil all found in the store or if you can't visit do as I do and peruse at your leisure at The Mad Scrapper here you will find many beautiful collections along with coordinating embellishments for most. I have added a supply list bellow.
I am following along with a design challenge for this layout which I find helpful because sometimes your layouts become a bit samey! So I've started with the blue and added a nice pale yellow but not before stitching in orange around the edge I placed that down slightly to the left then on to that I added the butterfly paper and then another piece showing the opposite side on top of that. Both had the edges distressed before being stuck down.
This next photo shows how I matted each photo on to either a pink or lavender mat. The centre photo has a thin piece of card underneath and the two smaller ones have some foam under their left hand sides to level them out.
The title is a die cut using a pearl lavender cardstock. Then using a carrot garland die I cut 2 for the length I needed, I cut it out of green and orange snipping off the orange ones and gluing them on top of the green.
I brought back from USA a reel of ribbon and I hadn't used it yet so I cut out different lengths and tucked them under the photos/layers. I also cut out some bunnies and extra carrots dotting them around the page.
This little bunny I tucked a dot of lavender paper behind so it would show. To finish off I added some flat backed sequins and clear drops
Here is a look at the sketch I am following, there are of course many places you can find these both online and in craft magazines. I use them as a jumping off point and I don't follow them exactly
