Hello,
Today I'm sharing a layout on The Mad Scrapper Blog using the lovely collection recently released by Simple Stories who were working with My Minds Eye on this Wildflower collection still available in The Mad Scrapper store.
I will tell you what's happened here in this next photo. I trimmed down the plaid paper and distressed the edges, then I added the stitching to the corners because I had cut a circle and stitched all around it and stencilled some flowers on it but when I placed it down and the photo on top it just didn't look right so the circle hasn't made it but I couldn't do anything about this stitching so there it stays!!
I mounted the photo on to some pink card giving a nice nod to the flowers around the girls. I knew I wanted to use the BIG sticker from the sheet that comes with the pad but didn't quite know where I was going to place it so I put it on white paper and cut tightly around it. One of the sheets is full of pretty top tags so I added one of those with the tiny bit of journaling on it. The photo has a piece of chipboard under it which allows me to tuck embellishments underneath.
One sheet of paper is covered in these beautiful pink blooms along with smaller individuals and leaves so I sat and fussy cut the lot. That meant I could make my big bold clusters out of them. I chose to make two and added to the top right and bottom left of the photograph. Some lay flat and others had foam pads under for dimension. The you and me is off the sticker sheet too.
Here you can see the bottom cluster and the placement of the tag which I added the same green floss to. I have also used some flowers from the Floral Bits pack.
To finish off I added some pink and blue Kaisercraft pearls from my stash. Complete bliss is a sticker too.
Thanks once again for stopping by. I hope I've inspired you to dive in and fussy cut some of those big floral papers that come in collections because they work so well together. Check out the other papers and embellishments Janine has in that go with this collection.
Sue.
