Hello,
Well I am so happy to post today as I am a Guest Designer over at Digichoosday.blogspot.
I couldn't be happier as I just love the products that Nikky produces. I seem to have been watching her for quite sometime now but never confident enough to try out for a chance to be one of her designers but when I saw a shout out a while ago I thought I'd try.
So here is my first project for the challenge. We have a theme to use but the challenge itself is one of anything goes with some "fab" prizes to be won.
I decided to make a tag using a 6inch chipboard shape I have been keeping in my stash for quite some time now! I first gave it a coat of cream paint by Kaisercraft.
As the theme for us is one of "Shabby Chic" I decided to use this floral paper to cover the front but not before I distressed the edges and inked using Tattered Rose Then I took a sage green doily and placed it down slightly hanging over the edge and then added some deep striped ribbon I've had for a while too. This I also hung over the edges.
Today I have chosen to use one of Nikky's pre-coloured images polkadoodles.co.uk/glass-half-full-january-coloured-craft-digi-download I love to have these in my stash as you don't always want or have the time to colour. I just loved the colours in this too. I cut her out using Polkadoodles-fancy-rectangles-tabs-die-set and inked the edges again with Tattered Rose then I matted her up on the dot paper. I placed her down also hanging over one side.
As she has a glass with a straw I thought I'd add one too along with a collection of flowers and leaves. The sentiment is from polkadoodles.co.uk/winnie-celebrations-2-sentiments-digi-kit-download
I added a cute little button with the Eiffel Tower on it along with some gems and two types of ribbon to the top to finish off.
I do hope you can stop by and join in the fun.
Sue.
