163 Show us your Decor challenge

Hi again,
This time over at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com it is Sarah's turn to choose the theme and this will be a good one. It is to make anything for any season which you would use to decorated your home. This time around NO CARDS.

For this challenge I decided to show a 12x12 page for my calender which hangs between the kitchen and dinning room as it decorates the wall. But then I found something else to make too so please scroll down.

The calender uses papers from Kaisercraft's 75 cent collection. The photos show my son at about 5 and 18 using a bow and arrow. He had a real love of the Disney movie Robin Hood so had to have a play set to shoot in the back garden and then the second shows him having a go with a real set, hand turned for the chap giving instructions. The page has lots of layers, lots of inking and a few arrows thrown in for good measure lol.

This is my second entry to the challenge, it is a frame I bought ages back and again from Kaisercfraft. It comes with a calendar but if you look you will see it was for 2009 but the days are the same for this year, I will add the correct year in January but for now it is OK. If you don't wish to have the calendar there you could add a photo in to the space.

Here it is without the calender
As you can see I have had to add some flowers and a bee. The sentiment is from Verve and the little tag has "just start" on it again from Verve.

This shows the backside as to how it stays up

Now its your turn to join in the fun so make something and link up with us and if chosen you could be our next Guest Designer.

  3. Sue, first of all, I absolutely LOVE the idea of making scrapbook layouts into a calendar. That is such a great way to look back at the past while looking at the present.

I also think your second framed calendar is a clever idea. Love the papers for both projects. Well done!
