A Star is Born....Challenge 136

Over on  this week it is owner Sheri's turn to pick the theme for the challenge and she has chosen make a card or project with at least 2 stars on.

I am pretty sure this is going to be a very busy one this time around. Ofcourse you could have a new baby in the family or someone who is just a star in your eyes so make something for them.

For my card I needed a card for a man who will be 75 and he LOVES his football team but I wanted to keep away from their colours a little aswell as another football card. This theme just fell in to place for me.

The card is a large A5 and I went around the edge with the teams colours in faux stitching. Next I chose the patterned paper and pulled everything else in around it. The background paper has tiny dots on which I ran through a embossing folder and inked the edges, the sentiment is from Verve Stamps. I have some stickers of the team which I placed one inside the star which I die cut all three and twisted. A little football (soccor) touch was the ball stamped on the two flags. The gems are also the teams colours. I used my Cricut to cut the age. Inside I have a large team badge stuck to the loss leaf side of the insert, that bit should please him.

Thanks for stopping by now its your turn to make us something with atleast 2 stars on. Have fun.

  1. Sue, you always make such wonderful masculine cards! Love the banners coming off of the Spellbinder center! Love how you layered the stars as well! :)

  2. Sue this is wonderful! When I make a masculine card, it tends to be pretty plain. But your's really cool!

  3. Sue, this is perfect for a football fan! I love the idea of the stamped paper ribbons instead of going literal with the football.

  4. Great card, Sue! Love all the different elements to your card. Textures and dimensions and embellishments. So clean and crisp too!

  5. Sue, this is such an AWESOME masculine card -- know your recipient will LOVE it!!! LOVE all the dimensional layering with your BG, papers and die cuts!
