Memorable Day

 Hello again,

Today I am sharing this wonderful layout made for The Mad Scrapper Blog of my Brother-in-Law at his niece's wedding earlier this year. This is a wonderful photograph because the other gentlemen are his brothers and they do not live close to each other at all in fact one is over in Dublin.

I started by choosing my papers and possible flowers and inks to be used. Because the photograph is taken at a wedding I knew it would be 49 and Markets One Perfect Day collection. A full list can be found below.

I chose a solid paper and to that I added 2 further papers flipping one after tearing to reveal the core and inking to imitate the colours in the flowers. I tucked another paper between the two which was more prominent in the reverse side. This collection of papers screams luxury wedding vibe in my head and I know this occasion certainly was that.
Here you can see that I have matted the photo on to cream and then on to a piece of hessian just leaving a tiny amount showing. I then added foam underneath for dimension to allow me also to tuck underneath. I have taken a journal frame to add that little bit of text and the gentleman you can see is in fact the brides father. You can also see my large cluster of gorgeous flowers available in store.

In this next photograph you can just see that I added a lazier cut lace strip from another 49 collection and to that I added some cream lace which I think pops the hessian under the photo. The title is from my stash and fits perfectly with the event.

Here is another close up of the flower cluster, I like to add some muslin under flowers as I think it softens the area first. The little snippets are from another shop collection.

To finish off the layout I added pearls in soft pinks and creams you can also see I have added a couple of hat pins in there too.
Thanks for stopping by today I hope I have inspired you to do something with maybe a photo from a wedding you attended recently or even years ago. If you need papers and ephemera you know where to go The Mad Scrapper  or if you are lucky enough to live close pop in.

Sue.

Wedding Card To Order

 Hello,

Today I am sharing another wedding card order. This is to be given to a lady who loves Giraffes.

Today I have used  products mostly Pinkfresh Studio: products and a full list can be found below. I had already attached my paper down to my card front and stamped my floral images and then that evening I watched Kathleen on the YouTube channel using the same images and I decided to try to copy her colours

I started by stamping and colouring in the giraffe image, I stamped the large sentiment on to white and decided to use the elegant circle set which I cut in the same paper as the background, I stacked it 3 times for dimension over it then I fussy cut out a slightly larger in pink card to act as a shadow putting it down slightly higher than centre which gave me the perfect place for the giraffe to go.
Then after colouring my flowers I die cut them out and started to add them to the card front making sure to give the impression that he was peeking out.
To finish off today I have added flat sequins and another wedding day sentiment to the bottom. Thanks for stopping by today. I will be joining in with the Pinkfresh  August 2025 Challenge

Sue.
Product list
Elegant Circles
Cheerful Blossoms stamp, stencil and die set
Best Wishes stamp, stencil and die set
copied Kathleen's ink colours mostly
my own giraffe stamp and copics to colour
Verve Stamps - Wedding sentiment stamp
flat sequins.

I stacked the rainbow frame 3 high and the same for the sentiments but I also added a vellum hand cut layer beneath because I didn't like it just sitting there. I also stamped and embossed in white on to vellum the flower images. To finish off I added some coordinating flat sequins.

Sue.

Be Fearless

 Hello,

Today you find me on The Mad Scrapper Blog with this gorgeous layout of my cousins grandson Maverick. The photograph's were taken to celebrate his first birthday and of course it included a smash cake but unfortunately he didn't know what to do with it as you can see by his reaction in the tiny photo's.

As soon as I saw the photographs I knew exactly which collection of papers I would use as well as a few stickers I had in my box. I also fussy cut some balloons from one of the paper sheets which I would raise off the page. I grabbed the PinkFresh Studio Be Fearless stamp set for the title which I stamped in corduroy distress ink

I started by trimming the paper to 111/2 inches distressing the edges I then mounted it on to blue card which I gutted out the centre so as not to waste it. Then I took the PinkFresh elevated rainbow stencil and added two panels to the paper using a selection of distress inks (listed below along with all other items used) but I forgot to take a photo until after I had added my photos 😲 so here is a little close up.

I matted the main photo on some of the saved blue then some dark gold and a stone colour. I added a little spare card for lift and tucked under some of the fussy cut balloons

This next photo shows the title which I stacked 3 more layers under for dimension. You can see more balloons which I added above the strip of little photos.

At the bottom right of the photo I added a little play castle and a camera.

The bottom left I added a play tent sticker another camera and a lot of little snippets of cute sentiments. The You are Gold is from the same set as the title

To finish off the layout I added some pearls in browns and cream.
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope I have inspired you to create something with some of your own photograph's you may have in a box or stuck on your phone somewhere. Don't forget to call in to see Janine or checkout The Mad Scrapper  at your convenience

Best Wishes

Hello,

Today I'd like to share a card I have made using a couple of older stamp, stencil and die sets from the wonderful Pinkfresh Studio:. Both sets have come from  The Mad Scrapper  but sadly no longer in stock but maybe you already have yours.

This next photo shows the sets Best Wishes and Be Fearless along with 2 sets I coloured in with nice bright colours. If you have never used Pinkfresh before their stamps cut out in one pass which I believe to be a game changer. I only did one set of the Be Fearless because I was after leaves and the flower is similar to one from the Best Wishes set so they mixed well.

Here you can see the colours I used to create the card. I used the lightest shade from each through the stencil on the mat under the flowers.

Here you can see a couple of shots of the card front showing the depth given by adding the stitched angled frames which I added foam under for lift. I did a little fussy cutting to make the frames fit together flat.

To finish off I added the sentiment from the Best Wishes set which I stacked up as well as a birthday greeting from another. I added some gems in fuchsia and dark orange

Thanks for stopping by today, I am joining in with the July 2025 Challenge – Pinkfresh Studio so wish me luck.

Sue.

Curls.

 Hello,

Today I am up on The Mad Scrapper Blog with this layout of my son. He loved watching Winnie The Pooh when he was little and so I thought I'd do something with the new papers in at the shop. As my son is now 31 I knew I didn't want the collection so I chose 2 papers and added ephemera from another collection from the shop.

First off I took the paper with the blocks on and fussy cut them out and mounted it on black. Then I trimmed it down and added it on to a green plaid from The Little Dreamer collection and then added that to the blue cross paper. To be honest I did gut out the right side of the green because it wouldn't be seen and I thought I may need it later on.
I used the Tim Holtz Broken China and Scattered Straw through his Ray's stencil to the top of the page. I matted my photo on to 2 papers from the Our Baby Boy 6x6 paper pad and then on to the green plaid placing it down allowing the ray's to shine from below the picture

Here you can just make out the building blocks raised up from the paper I did think about slightly off setting it but it didn't look right. The strip sentiment is cut from a ephemera tag. The stars I cut from a Cocoa Vanilla Studio paper.

This little tag is from Boho Baby journal sheet. He had a full head of white blond hair and once cut they never returned and his nana never forgave me!!

Here you can see the ray and how the yellow when touched by the blue gave a lovely soft green. You can also see the mats under the photo. The very sweet is from the ephemera and the rainbow has been cut from another tag in the 6x6 paper pack.

This adorable tag is from the ephemera pack and I added those floss pieces from my stash (they are as old as he is!

To finish off I added some puffy hearts which I love and more fussy cut stars. Pop in to see Janine in store or go to The Mad Scrapper  to see the full Winnie the Pooh collection along with other gorgeous small people papers.

Tasty Fun

 Hello,

Today I'm up on The Mad Scrapper Blog with a fun layout of my sisters granddaughter spending time at their house in the school holidays. They always do something fun such as cake making, going on a walk in the woods or as below making pizza for tea.

I started by taking my paper and trimming it down to 11inches I distressed the edges and then tucked a blossom strip to the left side and a grey strip to the right. I gathered journal cards from Carta Bella and some bits and pieces from Cocoa Vanilla and I was ready to create.
I matted the main photo on black along with some of the ephemera. The two journal cards I matted on to the grey card. I made a little cluster around the photo.

I took the 3rd journal card and cut around the image and mounted it on to another leaving a tiny light green edge. I made my small photos into a strip like you get out of a machine by putting them onto a blossom strip of card and added it to the layout. I added my journaling to the bottom right of the page.

To finish off I added flat sequins and some butterfly's

Thanks for stopping by again today I hope I have inspired you to try something different with your photographs allowing you to add more. Drop in to see Janine instore or go to The Mad Scrapper  and look at your pleasure.

Happy Days.

 Hello,

Today I am here on The Mad Scrapper Blog to share with you a simple family album layout. Family album layouts don't always have to be full on you just need to capture the moment.

Today I used a selection of papers by 49 and market, gems, sequins and a cutfile. I started by gutting the orange paper to allow use later on in the layout. On top of that I added the trimmed down and distressed edged Triumphant paper.

The cutfile was in white so I inked it with walnut stain and then backed with a selection of papers from the collection (a full list can be found below) I added foam tape below to lift it above the photo and to give some dimension to the layout.

The photo was trimmed slightly and then added to the other side of the orange paper and trimmed right back to give a tiny boarder, I also added a note book style edge under it and then it was then matted on to two mats on a jaunty angle. I took one of the journal tags to use under the first P and from the bottom I fussy cut the flower and word and placed it at the foot of the picture. Then I added my journaling

Then I finished off the layout with black gems and wood effect sequins from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope I have inspired you to bring out some of those older photographs celebrating family get togethers. If you need papers remember to drop in to see Janine or take your time and visit The Mad Scrapper

Wishing You Love.

 Hello,

Today I'm up on  The Mad Scrapper Blog with this card I have made with a piece of beautiful paper I just couldn't waist. With a little bit of careful cutting you can possibly make something really pretty. I hope you think I have managed this here.

I started by taking a 5x7 card blank and then the 2 pieces of the paper I had kept and added them to the front, I then added cream lace to where I knew it would just pop out from behind the fussy cut element.

Here you can see how it just shows in this next photo.

The tiny rosebuds are a apricot colour so I took a stamp set which has coordinating dies and using spiced marmalade I inked it up and cut it out.

To finish off I added some dimensional glue in green and marmalade colours. I find the best way to add lace to projects is to use hot glue

Thanks for stopping by today, pop in to see Janine and check out all the delicious papers she has in stock if not go to The Mad Scrapper  and look at your pleasure.

Dreamer.

 Hello,

Today I am her on the The Mad Scrapper Blog with a dreamy layout for my house calendar. I have used a paper from 49 and market along with rub-ons and flowers, I have used other flowers from the shop too a full list can be found at the bottom of this post.

I started by pulling all my possible papers and embelishments together that I may use today. You will notice a inspirational photo on the bottom right, I spotted that on the 49 and Market Facebook page and I found it to be a great launching point for this page, thank you Pammejo Bray. I have had this photo printed to use for over 2 years and todays the day it's getting used.

I started by trimming the paper to 11 1/2 and adding it to a green mat after distressing the edges. Then I grabbed the rub-ons and placed the photo where I thought it would go and proceeded to add the lilac rub-ons but then I realised I should add some butter ones too. I added a pale grey mat to the photo and then some foam under to give dimension allowing me to tuck in some tickets and flower stems. Then I made a little cluster and tucked the Dreamer word just under.

This next photo shows the use of a loved scrap of Maja Design paper I just couldn't throw out (I just know you can relate to that!) The little heart chipboard is from my stash which I inked before adding it, the butterfly is one of three that are off the rub-on sheet which I put on vellum and fussy cut out.

Another little cluster at the top with another butterfly, you can see some butter rub-ons peeking out.

This large balloon gave me an idea of how lovely it would be to drift up and fly over the dreamy field of lavender.

To finish off I just added some glittery enamel dots. Thanks for stopping by today I know I have used a few items which are no longer for sale but if you have been with us for a while you may have something in your stash if not Janine has many other delicious papers to choose from that will fit your photo perfectly, call in to the shop or if you can't then grab a coffee and visit The Mad Scrapper  I just know you will find the perfect one.

Shades of the Sea

 Hello,

Today I am sharing some cards I have made for  The Mad Scrapper Blog using a selection of beautiful papers by Maja Designs all available in store today along with other beauties. My husband loves the sea and sailing so these papers were ideal to make him a anniversary card. I also decided to make some others to show you how versatile this collection is. Here is the card I made him

Janine now sells card and envelope packs and I would urge you to try them they are so strong and will withstand plenty of layers added to the front. I am using a 6x6 square but she has other sizes too.

I took my selection of papers (full list below) and decided on the ones I would use, then the first layer I ripped all sides and inked with tea dye ink and attached to the card blank. Then I took the next paper and cut to 5 1/4 sq and stitched all around then I added it to a light blue card and attached that to the card.
I took 2 images from the ephemera sheet and ripped the edges and inked too and attached at jaunty angles. I inked and die-cut out 2 sentiments and added those on to the card front.

I had so many ideas for more cards I just couldn't stop so here they are below I used the card blanks in 5x7 size and some rhinestones from Uniquely Creative. Check out what Janine has in store, you will have to put in the shop search bar Uniquely Creative as there is not yet a shop by brand bar yet.

So many lovely colours in the rhinestones which all match their paper collections so they will always match.

Thanks so much for stopping by today I do hope I've inspired you to make cards with some of the beautiful papers you can find in The Mad Scrapper  shop or online.
