Merry and Bright

 Hello,

Today I am up on The Mad Scrapper Blog with my December calendar page using beautiful papers and embellishments from Uniquely Creative.

I chose to use 2 sheets from the collection today along with some of the Creative Cuts they will work great on both layouts as well as cards (watch this space). I did add a few of my own stash to complement the components. I started by tearing the Santa's Workshop paper retaining the right hand side, I added it to the B side of the Holly Bouquet and saved the part you can not see.

I matted my photo on to kraft card and lifted it with foam pads placing it down over on the right of the page. I added my ephemera around the photo before I stuck it down, I always take a photo so I can see where it will go because when I move it to glue I never seem to remember where it went. The photo above is it.
This next photo shows it all stuck down. I am not a fan of too much white around the cuts so I trimmed some off, I lifted the top edges of most larger items with extra card so not too high didn't want the hight of foam pads here.

This next photo shows where I have added the retained piece of the Santa's workshop page after I fussy cut around the elements you can see they have been lifted also. I had to include the red cardinal and the postage stamp.

As there are trees in the picture I am using I cut some from white card and white glitter card and placed them along the bottom of the page lifting them as I go I also inked the edges of the white ones. I added ephemera around them too.

This next photo shows one of the sentiments which again I have trimmed around and this time I added it to some red for a mat.

To finish the layout I added sprigs cut from the kraft card and the red which have been used for mats. I also added some black gems and tiny snowflakes. Thanks for stopping by today, checkout the other papers in the collection at The Mad Scrapper  if you can't get in to the shop.

Christmas Gift Bag

 Hello,

A quick share today on The Mad Scrapper Blog with this Christmas Gift Bag. I've used the Pink fresh Studio Winter Berries stamp, stencil and die set.

I took a craft gift bag 5x7 size and on to the front I added a embossed champagne coloured satin paper but first I added some inch wide ribbon with the help of my glue gun allowing me to make ruffles. I took another die from Pink Fresh to give that wavy background, I cut it twice for strength and for dimensions I added a bottle green one slightly off set.

This time I stamped on to cream cardstock and used 2 green inks for the leaves but for the berries I went with purple, orange, mustard and red. I stamped and diecut the sentiment from the set.

I decided to make a couple of flowers to go with my paper flowers from 49 and market. I tucked in a couple of tiny wooden trees which I had glittered and dotted some coordinating gems.

Thanks for stopping by today I hope I've inspired you to make a few gift bags for the upcoming holiday season. Stop in to see what goodies Janine has you can use on your own bags if not go over to The Mad Scrapper

Pinkfresh Winter Berries

 Hello,

Today I am sharing a cute Christmas card I have made for the The Mad Scrapper Blog using the Pinkfresh Winter Berries stamp, stencil and die set.

I started by stamping out the stamp set twice and then using the stencils I decided to use bright non traditional colours as I was inspired by Rachel Designs from the Pinkfresh design team.

The die is one complete die which cuts out in one pass which is wonderful and time saving. I took a white card blank in 5x7 and on to that I added a pale blue matt which I ran through a embossing folder. Then I took a white smooth paper and added a light grey ink through a stencil cutting it in a scooped bottom and placing it on the card.

I also cut out some leaves using white glitter card, you can just make out the stencil in this photo

The stamp set has 3 sentiments included and a die which cuts out one but I chose to use the long one and cut it out myself. To finish off I added blue gems and a little bow at the top.

I had these 3 pieces left over so I made a little coordinating tag. The Merry Christmas is another of the 3 sentiments.

Thanks for stopping in again today. Don't forget to checkout other Pinkfresh items Janine is stocking by going to The Mad Scrapper  there is so much new stuff arriving daily.

Falalalala

 Hello,

Today I am sharing a layout for The Mad Scrapper Blog and I'm using a great collection from Simple Stories which you can pick up in store called Boho Christmas Collection Kit 12"X12" . It has some wonderfully whimsical images on the papers and sticker sheet. The photo was taken last year on the Christmas carousel and I thought it would be fun to use circles on the layout today.

I started by cutting down the white card to 11 inches and distressed the edges. Then I took the spotty paper and gutted out the centre for later and matted the white on to it. I wanted to add something to the white so I pulled out 3 distress inks and added random circles and some branches with berries. A full list can be found below.

Then using lots of different Rub-ons around the layout but this I just love. If you still have this one in your stash it would be perfect for this year because it shows Christmas Day falling on Wednesday which it does

I cut random size circles with different edges from the papers within the collection but I put my photo on to a candyfloss matt and tucked foam underneath for dimension

I took a selection of stickers and added them to either white or pink cardstock to allow me to move them around before deciding where they would finish up. I did also add some directly down.

This next photo shows the Rub-ons which I added along with the largest circle cut from the gutted spotty paper. I decided to stitch around 3 of the circles.

This shows closely some of the added stickers

Here you can see the whole layout and you can see all the extras I have added such as flatback sequins and Nuvo red drops. It's quite a busy layout for me but I love it and I hope you do and that I have inspired you to try something different too

Thanks for stopping by do check out all the lovely seasonal papers and collections Janine has in store or go to The Mad Scrapper  and look at your leisure.

Pumpkin Decorating

 Hello,

Today I am sharing a layout of a recent pumpkin decorating get together at my cousins house. The layout can be found on the The Mad Scrapper Blog . I have used papers from 49 and Market along with flowers and rub-ons and other items from the store, a full list below.

I have used Terracotta paper 1-B side and stencilled through with distress inks, I fussy cut the row of pumpkins from the Spice sheet and added a thin cardboard under for a little dimension. Before attaching it down I added a selection of Rub-ons, I also trimmed the page down distressed the edges and mounted it on to a dark green paper.

Here you can see I have matted the photo on 2 papers and tucked underneath a shocking pink paper which I have given a notebook top. The small cluster is made up of Prima and Green Tara flowers with a Dusty Attic Jack o Lantern which I painted in gold and sprinkled on orange glitter.

A little close up of how the photo sits above the row of pumpkins.

This photo shows the use of 3 journal cards saved from a Prima 31 Halloween collection which Janine stocked (you may still have some if you purchased too) I tucked them under the photo and added more rub-ons around them. I also fussy cut the pink pumpkins and added those. The ticket that the Bunco title is on is another journal card too.

This is the main flower cluster a mix of 49and market blooms as well as another Jack o lantern.

To finish off the layout I was going to paint splatter but I'm not very good at it so I added a mixture of glue drops and tiny black gems. All the pumpkins bar the tiny one in front are man-made and can be dismantled and stored for next year.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope I have inspired you today to use these beautiful rich coloured papers along with the plethora of flowers available from Janine. Call in today or go to  The Mad Scrapper

October Days

 Hello,

Today I'm sharing a layout I've made for The Mad Scrapper Blog . I have made deep dive in to my stash of beautiful 49 and market papers and flowers for this page of my sisters family on a recent visit to the National Trust Gibside Park.

I've used vintage artistry - Virtue paper and added natural collage stack under the photo which is mounted on to 2 4x6 file frames. Can you just make out that I have cut into the paper partially around the main leaves and lifted them with foam pads. I also cut the paper down to 11.5 and inked the edges before adding it to a sheet of black cardstock.

This next image shows how I tucked the photo under the lifted leaf. I took the Dusty Attic 12x12 heart and snipped 2 sections to place top left and bottom right corners but not before I inked them with the same distress ink as I used on the paper edges. I also added a tiny blue crochet doily and a metal button from my stash along with flowers and leaves from 49 and a button saying Simple Life.

This images shows the bottom corner and its cluster of flowers, button and a acetate leaf.

I started to add a few rub-ons around the layout from Art Options Spice collection.

My sister is a Autumn girl so I couldn't resist adding this Rub-on as it seemed made for her.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope I've inspired you to dig around in those papers you have tucked away, if not then pop around to see all the beauties Janine has in the shop if not go to The Mad Scrapper  grab a cuppa and take your time.

Margarita Time

 Hello,

Today I am sharing this layout of myself and cousin enjoying a Margarita on her front porch after a hard day of memory making.  I made it to also share over at The Mad Scrapper Blog where you can pick up your supply's for almost any style of layout. This paper is from 49 and Market a list is below.

This is a window sticker which I have had since our first family holiday to Florida in 2008, we went to Universal Studios not Disney as my son was in to (still is) Jaw's and Terminator movies and when you arrive you go along the walkways which have many cafe's and bars and we stopped off at this one called Margaritaville and I picked up this sticker. I couldn't bring myself to stick it to a window so it has sat waiting for the right time to be used! I attached it to a piece of acetate and then a scrap of zesty green which allowed me to stick it down to the paper, I did trim around the image.

This next photo shows us sipping our drinks from mason glasses, we were watching the children playing out front. The flowers are from the Pinkfresh Studio stamp, stencil and die set this time I coloured with coral through to orange on cream cardstock. The title is another stash buster gifted from a friend.

I trimmed the main paper down to 11inch and added it to a Simple Stories paper which I thought went well. The photo is on 3 mats the first a scrap of 49andmarket and then 2 from Bazzill on a jaunty angle and lifted on foam pads. The snippets on top and bottom of the photo are also 49andmarket but older collections.

I think it all works well together on this fun layout.

Here on this last photo you can see I have added purple gems all around the layout also I have added white splashes to bring out the ones within the paper.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope I have inspired you to pull out papers maybe thought of for another season and use them at different times. Pop in to see Janine in the store if not do as I do and go to The Mad Scrapper  and pick up something different.

Wildflower

 Hello,

Today I am up on  The Mad Scrapper Blog with this fun layout of myself on my recent holiday checking out this wonderful clothing store in downtown Sumner. My goodness I could have bought this Stetson along with numerous other items of clothing and boots!

I have used papers from 49 and Market along with touches of Simple Stories, ephemera is a mix of Dusty Attic, Green Tara and my collection of memorabilia a full list can be found below.
Here you can see I have used 2 papers tearing and the brown at an angle showing the white core which I ink before adding it on top of the lighter card. As you can see I have stitched a full row and two shorter ones to the edge. Over on the left I added a half inch strip from Wildflower collection because in the brown paper there are touches of blue. I inked and distressed all the edges.

I have had this Teresa Collin's Journal Tag since 2008 and thought it fitted in nicely after I inked it and matted it on to the same blue as the left edge.

The used vintage artistry essential frames under the photo and placed it on a foam sheet for dimension, you could also use cardboard packaging like Janine shared a short while ago. I had some vintage rubons left over so I tucked them around the photo top.

Bottom left cluster is a mix of a dress form, flowers, stickers and stash busting stuff

In this photo of the right bottom cluster you can see I have added a leather tag, flowers, a sticker, brass pen nib and Dusty Attic feather pins. The sentiment is cut from a journal card from Simple Stories. I have also added pearls and gems around the page.

I just love how this layout came out, as you can see in the photo we were having such a great time.

I hope I have inspired you today to maybe print a photo in sepia just to switch things up.
Pop in to see Janine and check out all her papers to see something that will match with your photograph she's bound to have the perfect one. If not go to The Mad Scrapper  Thanks again for stopping by.
