Birthday Card

 Hello,

Today I'm here on  The Mad Scrapper Blog with a birthday card using supplies from the shop as well as some items from my stash of old collections that just couldn't be thrown out.

I started with a 5x7 top fold cardbase which I then trimmed down to 5x6.5. Then as always I gathered together my supplies ( a full list can be found at the bottom of this page). I trimmed the plum down to leave a boarder of white showing then I ran it through my Gemini using a coverplate because I knew I wanted some texture showing through my arch.
Then using the coconut smooth and the new Uniquely Creative Stitched Arches dies I cut the outer edge and the arch away. I used the same arch and one the size down to create the inner arch from the other side of the plum paper. I found a couple of little star stamps and randomly stamped down all over the white allowing some to fall off the edges. Then using the foam strips I mounted it on to the card front. Because the outer die gives a 4.25 x 5.75 frame it allowed for some of the background paper to show.
The dark arch is recessed in to the card.

As you can see from the next couple of photographs I added a selection of flowers from 49 and Market and Green Tara along with 3 leaves I cut from silver foil paper. I removed the brown stamens from the lighter flowers and added some glitter ones. I always use hot glue to attach my flowers but everything else with doublesided tape or liquid glue.

To finish off I added some clear rhinestones and a couple of birthday sentiment which I stacked up for dimension

Thanks for stopping by I hope I have inspired you to use your scrapbooking papers on other craft projects too.
Do drop in to see Janine to check out all the great die sets that are coming in to stock, if like me you live too far away grab a coffee and visit The Mad Scrapper

Big Birthday Card

 Hello,

Today I am sharing a card I have made for  The Mad Scrapper Blog using gorgeous papers from Maja Designs. This paper collection came in to the shop last year but the beautiful florals and subtle coordinating papers lend themselves to making beautiful cards too. This cardstock is heavy and you could use it as a card blank but I always believe in the belt and braces set up and add it to a 300gsm card blank as I'd hate to have my card forever found falling to the floor because of the heavy loading on the front.

Today I have used a shaped card blank stencil which gives you the perfect layers too. So as I have said I first cut out a white cardbase and to that I added a green then the dotted red layer but first I distressed the edges. I cut a floral layer but thought it didn't pop enough so I added it to a cream layer and after I had distressed the edges of the floral it allowed a tiny bit of the cream to show.

These next 3 photographs show the finished card where you can see I have added a collection of flowers and leaves from the store.

I did remove the brown stamens from the cream flowers as they were too harsh and added some tan ones. I cut the manufactures strip off the bottom of one paper and tucked some lace underneath and added it straight across the centre before adding the flowers.

I found the birthday sentiment in my stash and added the Happy 80th on to a tab allowing it to float off the side of the card. I have also added some rhinestone and tiny strawberry slices to the card front. The card sits on a stand which I added a red dot layer.

Thanks for stopping by today I hope I have inspired you to go through your scrapbook papers to see which ones you could use to make cards with. This collection is available in store or go to The Mad Scrapper  and look at your leisure.

2nd Big Birthday Card

 Hello

this is the second birthday card I have made to join in with March 2026 Challenge: Sew Much Fun  over at Pinkfresh Studio blog.

This card is for my Auntie who will be turning 90 very soon. I did add all the information on what I used on my last post but I didn't realise I could only add one card per link!

The card is a 8 x 8 with an inch cut from the front. Then I added a smaller panel to the front . I used the same paper inside and out and the small panel has had its embossed with the Petal Trellis coverplate showing the stitch marks.
I have used the Magnolias stamp, stencil and die set. I gold embossed the image before I inked with the coral collection and citron and bay leaf on the leaves. The sentiment is in gold too and matted on gold mirri card it is also used for the 90 and the today.
Thanks for calling in

Sue.

Big Birthday Wishes Cards

Hello,

Today I'm sharing birthday cards I have made in February for my neighbour and my Auntie.

On both I have used Pinkfresh Studio stamp, stencil and die sets.

This first one is a big 6 x 8 side opening card and I first covered the front with a piece of 49 and market yellow spring inspired paper from my stash and I first distressed all edges. Thin I cut from the same paper a stitched oval die stacking it 3 times. Then I cut a smaller stitched oval and I embossed that with charming stitched floral coverplate and added one more underneath.

I took the Lantern Botanicals set and the Kindness in Bloom sets and inked in versa mark so I could gold emboss them then I coloured them in using my Pinkfresh Inks. I used the same inks on a spare piece of card to be able to cut my Happy Birthday die from. I also die cut from gold foil card the letters to make Mum from my Jody Lowercase dies.

As you can hopefully see there is lots of dimension and to finish off I added some pearls in the colours I had used to ink.

This next card is for my Auntie who will soon be 90! So this deserves to be a big 8 x 8 card and as I am hand delivering it I could let loose on the dimension.
I decided to cut away an inch of the front panel and add a square on top but hanging over. I used the same paper inside and out on the card with the addition of running that top paper through my Gemini using the Petal Trellis with its stitch effect.
Then I stamped out using Versa mark the Magnolias stamp, stencil and die set and heat embossed in gold again. I used the coral colours this time and citron and bayleaf on my leaves.
I finished off with epoxy stickers and my own birthday sentiment which was cut out and layered on to more gold. The 90 was cut from the same gold mirri card too.

Thanks for calling in today, I am entering both these card in the  Pinkfresh Studio  March 2026 Challenge: Sew Much Fun
