Gather at Home

 Hello again!

Today I am sharing a layout I have recently made for themadscrapper.blog . This time I have used a new to me paper collection called Gather at Home by Carta Bella. Full list will be at the bottom of this page.

This kit has beautiful leaf and floral pages along with complementary plains and plaids, there are also  journal cards if you like to use those.  It also has a full sheet of cardstock stickers inside too. All the papers can be bought separately so if you know you are going to need extra of some you can pick those up too.
I started with Fresh Florals but I gutted out a 8 inch square because I knew I wanted to fussy cut a few of those flowers and leaves.  Then I cut a 9 inch sq of Paired with Plaid and to that I added a 81/2 inch sq of Pitcher Perfect but not before I have used the heart attack stencil with saltwater taffy distress ink  and clear embossing powder. I did not centre this on purpose.

I'm afraid I didn't take anymore process photos but here are close ups of the finished page. This is a little cluster of the above mentioned fussy cut flowers along with a sticker on a couple of fish tail tabs.

This photo shows a tag I made to add my journaling onto as well as more sticker elements to make the bunting.

I added a 3 inch strip made up of Garden Guru, a coral strip and the black and white strip at the bottom of the sticker sheet. The photo is me and my Auntie on my recent trip to USA.

This photo shows a cluster I have made to add to the top of the strip under the photo. All have been added with glue gell for dimension.

To finish off the layout I have added yellow and caramel cream Nuvo drops.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope I have inspired you to make a layout using these papers if you have them already, if not then head over to see Janine at themadscrapper.co.uk.

To make this layout today I have used a free sketch by Debbie Sanders #5

Thanks again and see you soon.

Mod Pizza

 Hi,

Today I am sharing a layout I have made for themadscrapper.blog using photos taken on my recent holiday with family in USA.

Today I have used papers & embellishments from the 49andmarket Spectrum Sherbet collection (a full list below), along with bits from my stash.

I started with the painted foundation-washed paper and marked out a circle along with wedges and hand stitched using pastel coloured threads. I didn't bother going through the centre as I knew the photos would cover them.

I used a couple of sheets from the Sherbet 6x8 collection to make the additional wedges and I decided to stitch through them too. That is a photo of the actual menu available and the MOD logo.

I used a few ephemera pieces and laser cuts throughout the layout. I can tell you these two packs are amazing and if you can stretch to it buy them both.

I put foam pads under the wings of the wedges to give dimensions. All edges are distressed.

The happy little moments can be found in the laser cut pack along with the ripped note pad piece.

This little cluster is made up from the ephemera pack but the stamp is a laser cut.

I always like to put hand written journaling on my layouts and this tells of my visit to the takeaway.

To finish off I added sequins and a few perspextives about the layout. Thanks for stopping by today I hope I have been able to inspire you to try a different style on your layout.

Pike's Market.

 Hello,

Today I'd like to share this layout I have made for themadscrapper.blog using beautiful papers from Maja Designs which can still be found in store.

A full list with links can be found below. But first I chose 3 papers which I liked and this time I decided to give it a wide boarder. Then the centre was cut at 10 inch sq and I gave it a blue mat. Edges were distressed and then I took the tapestry stencil and inked through with peacock feathers.

This next photo shows I have cut out 3 tags from the paper and tucked it under the main photo.

I had to retain the text on the bottom of the Don't Worry page because it fit so well with my vacation.

This shows one of the entrances to the market and the date I went. The little Be Grateful is off one of the manufacturers strips. All papers in this collection come with an excellent array of sentiments and all useful.

I added a few Nuvo drops around the page.

Here you can see the stencilling a little. Don't worry if you do it and most gets covered as it's all about layering. I've also added a snippet of text to both 4x4 photos.

I used a die to cut a couple of starfish but only used the blue one, I also cut 3 tiny ones too. I grabbed a couple of sea shells from the Beached collection to fill that bottom corner.

Thanks for stopping in today. Don't forget you can still get the collection in store or online at www.themadscrapper.co.uk.

Sue.
