Today you find me sharing a new layout for  The Mad Scrapper Blog using photos of my husband doing his favourite thing Remote Control Sailing.

Are you like me and love the idea of joining in with the challenges on international scrapbooking day but never get the time to sit down and do any? But one thing I do do and that is to collect the design sketches ready to use when I can. That is what I have done here using the design by Kirei I do like her work and she inspires me.

So as always I started by gathering together things I thought I'd use. It is very hard to find papers for guys that do not include tools or cars but this time I knew I had a few sheets of  49 and Market- Summer Porch along with Bazzill basic in colours on the boat. I also used chipboard pieces from the collection too.

I started by sketching where the pieces would sit and then I made a paper pattern using copy paper this was because I only had a small piece of the blue hatch design but also I wanted the stripes all to go in the same direction. the red and yellow I used as mats are to match the corner patches on the sails.

I did use some distress ink to blend just under the edges of each piece along with the same ink through a dot stencil. Here you can see I have matted the photos on the same papers used one being the reverse of the stripe.

I added a few snippets and stars to fill in some areas along with another chipboard piece. Then I had the idea of fussy cutting hubby out of another photo and add him as if he is watching his boat sail. As the breeze picks up or dies down they change sails hence the different colours you see here. He has been sailing since late 2018 and has now progressed to making his own sails.

To finish off I added this lovely big persextive title and a few more stars

Happy Anniversary Cards

 Hello, 

Today I am sharing 2 cards I have made for my sisters anniversaries which fall close together and I thought I would join in with the May 2026 Challenge over at Pinkfresh Studio. This month the theme is striking stripes or anything goes, as long as your main part of the project is Pinkfresh.

I was really pleased with how this one came out I decided to make another. This was the first time of using this set even though I had it in my stash a while! Well you know how that goes.

I used all Pinkfresh inks and I used close to match papers. I love the double stitched essential dies.

Here is the second card but this time I decided to frame the florals as well as pop them on top of a light green glitter paper. This one is different but still packs a punch.

Summer Gite 1998.

Today you find me sharing a memory from back in 1998 over on  The Mad Scrapper Blog . I have had this layout design in my head for years but have been waiting for the right paper to come out and I think this paper from the Whispering Way Collection is just that, it's called Farm Fresh. This is the B side the other has chickens, dried flowers etc on it.

I did my usual thing and gathered together stash that I believed I may use. Then I cut away two sections from the right hand side following the brickwork which would allow my photographs to show through. Because there were sunflowers on the papers A side and outside the gite I decided to trim the paper to 11.5 and mount on to this yellow paper. However I did add a little bit of card behind those bricks to give a little dimension which you will see better when the photos are in place.

This next photo shows the outside of the Gite which we drove to from our home in Dunstable, it was just around Rochefort. Yes we brought our sons bicycle with us which he enjoyed riding to and from the Boulangerie every day for our fresh bread or croissants. They thought he was very cute with his white blonde hair and attempting to say good morning or good bye in French. The walls were very thick which meant it was beautifully cool inside.

I decided to paint the Summer chipboard in white gesso mixed with a little blue paint. The little wooden buttons have the Eiffel Tower on them and the little tile has the word "life" on it which I thought went well. I cut out some tickets from other 49 and market collections to tuck here and there and use for journaling.

This was my sons bedroom you can see the thickness of the walls here. All the furniture within the property work so well with its feel it was such a lovely place to stay.

This photograph shows the tiny kitchen, not much workspace but it didn't matter. If you could see through that window you would see the huge garden with lots of space for our little paddling pool and the table and chairs. Beyond were fields of corn and another lovely walk. From here we went on to Paris tagging on our first visit to Disneyland Paris.

I fussy cut that pink flower and then used it to bring in the other flowers on the page, all available in the store.

Today you find me sharing a layout on  The Mad Scrapper Blog using a photograph taken 40 years ago. It is of my husband and I on our wedding day. I thought I would use these lovely spring floral papers available in store by Maja Designs. I can remember on the day my mum and dads garden was a wash with yellow flowers and I had yellow in my bouquet along with my bridesmaids dresses were soft yellow too.

Here is a quick look at the manufacturer strips you can see I have also used some Bazzil and Uniquely Creative plain too.

For this layout I have done quite a bit of cutting but if you didn't fancy it you could just buy 2 sheets of the floral paper. I distressed the edges of all paper pattern paper layers before attaching them to the yellow or green cardstock. As you can see the centre panel I stitched around the edge for some texture, the pink piece under is in fact the other side of the floral. Also the centre panel is lifted by a sheet of foam.

Here is a close up of the stitching which is pink and yellow, also I die cut a little frame and added the date and town.

On this next photo you can just make out the Dusty Attic chipboard flourish I tucked under the photo it comes from the Feathers by Nuneka set which has other small flourishes which I chose 2 and added to the bottom left of the photograph. I also grabbed some little hearts from another set which I gesso and then painted with yellow and pink glitter glue.

The flowers I have used today are from a PinkFresh Studio set I bought from Janine when she sold them, maybe you have them too? The set was Be Fearless and it came with stencils and dies to cut out. I inked up 2 sets one in pink the other in yellows and the greens were a sage green to coordinate with those in the papers. The title is just peeking in and that I have had for years lingering in my stash for just the right layout to come along. It is white and was a little lost just straight on to the floral papers so I added some of the green behind it and fussy cut around it.

Here you can see the bottom small cluster. You can also see I have added some flat sequins around the page too.

Here is a little close up of the florals I used, after I inked with embossing clear ink I heat embossed in gold. This gives a lovely soft feel to the image but it makes it easy to line up the stencils too.

Today you find me over on The Mad Scrapper Blog with this darling Easter Layout using photos taken this year of my cousins daughter and little family. For this layout I have used beautiful spring themed papers by Maja Designs along with solids by Bazzil all found in the store or if you can't visit do as I do and peruse at your leisure at The Mad Scrapper  here you will find many beautiful collections along with coordinating embellishments for most. I have added a supply list bellow.

I am following along with a design challenge for this layout which I find helpful because sometimes your layouts become a bit samey! So I've started with the blue and added a nice pale yellow but not before stitching in orange around the edge I placed that down slightly to the left then on to that I added the butterfly paper and then another piece showing the opposite side on top of that. Both had the edges distressed before being stuck down.

This next photo shows how I matted each photo on to either a pink or lavender mat. The centre photo has a thin piece of card underneath and the two smaller ones have some foam under their left hand sides to level them out.

The title is a die cut using a pearl lavender cardstock. Then using a carrot garland die I cut 2 for the length I needed, I cut it out of green and orange snipping off the orange ones and gluing them on top of the green.

I brought back from USA a reel of ribbon and I hadn't used it yet so I cut out different lengths and tucked them under the photos/layers. I also cut out some bunnies and extra carrots dotting them around the page.

This little bunny I tucked a dot of lavender paper behind so it would show. To finish off I added some flat backed sequins and clear drops

Nothing Better Than A Friend

Hello, here I am again sharing my 3rd and final card for April 2026 Challenge: over at PinkFresh Studio.

Today I have decided to use the suggested colour palette of Lemon Whip, Apricot, Peony, Raspberry Bliss and Candy Apple, I have added a couple of greens for my leaves. 

This is a tall skinny card which I added a sheet of paper that I had stencilled on to and then I pricked all around as if I was going to stitch through. I distressed the edges and added a little card underneath for lift before adhering it to the card blank.

Here are the ink cubes and the stencil I used.

I used the stitched rectangles on glitter card and stacked two more plain card under. Before I placed them down I decided to ink them too so they blended in. I inked the stamped images Cheerful Blossoms  and used the dies to cut them out then I adhered them to the card front. I added glossy accents to the flower centres. The sentiments I inked two toned, something I saw Kathleen do the other week.

 today you find me over on  The Mad Scrapper Blog with this gorgeous layout using papers, flowers, stencils and chipboard available from the store. You can find a full list below of what I used but of course Janine has more beautiful collections available to suit your photos with new collections arriving weekly.

As always I gather together what I think I may use as you can see below but I always find other things along the way which don't show up in the photo

I started by removing the manufacturer strip from the Flourish paper and removed a 4 x 10 slice from the left side but an inch from the edge. I took the cream paper and cut it down to 11. I had taken some of the zip chipboard and added white gesso I cut a slice into it and rolled it back but before I added it to the flourish paper I added some stencilling once dry I inked the edges and distressed allowing some of the ink to come over the dry gesso. I stuck the 3 sides down first then after placing the zipper in that side was stuck down.

Here you can see it finished off with some tiny flowers and a little muslin.

This next photo shows the smaller cluster which sits on top of some chicken wire chipboard I also added little hearts and butterflies around the page.

This next picture shows the 2 mats the photo is on and the 3 strips of paper I added lengthways everything is from the collection. Also more of the chicken wire. You may also spot the script stamp I added around the page.

This last photo shows the top larger flower cluster, can you spot the hat pin and the pearls and gems? I can almost guarantee you have some of those hat pins in your stash!
