She Blooms Wildly

 Hello,

Today you find me over on The Mad Scrapper Blog sharing a new layout using papers and blooms available in store. I have chosen a enchanting photo from Pinterest. Sometimes you don't have a photo available when you want to create so I've generally got a few ready in a envelope. 

As I always do I gathered together supplies I thought I'd use. You can see them in the photo below. I started by gutting out a section I knew I was going to cover then I added some stencilling using distress ink, I also added a little random stitching in black floss.

I will confess to not taking anymore photos till the layout was complete so apologies there.

I started by using deckle edge scissors on the image then added it to a pale yellow card then that went on to the dotty side of one paper and then in came the piece I had earlier gutted from the base card.

I used a stamp and die to cut out the sub-title and added it to the pink which I used a notebook tab punch on.

I cut various papers into strips distressing all edges and laid them down coming across the page making sure to cover up that hole! Once that was done I started my favourite part of adding all the florals and other ephemera.

The toadstools at the bottom I fussy cut from another collection (all listed below) I thought they went well with the theme of the photo.

To finish off the layout I added some butterflies, clear gems and snips from a cut apart sheet. Thanks again for stopping by I hope you like what I have made for you. Today I am sharing a wedding card over on The Mad Scrapper Blog using beautiful papers and blooms available in the shop.

This card is a 6x8 and I have placed it in a box to protect the flowers.

I started by choosing my papers to match the brides colours pale pink and cream.

 I love the Tea and Tranquillity paper collection so I pulled out a couple along with a pale pink solid.

I started by adding the floral after distressing the edges. I used a sentiment from my stash inking with clear embossing ink and adding green powder on top. The smaller secondary sentiment is just inked in green. I used nesting heart dies to cut it out.

I knew I wanted to stitch on the card and add some vintage deep lace so I  backstitched around the pink script paper and added it to a slim cream mat. Using foam strips I attached it to the card base. Then I added the lace with hot glue, then the heart on top.

I pulled out a selection of flowers (list below) and arranged them around the left side along with some muslin and pink lace flowers. To finish off I added some tiny clear dew drops.

The box was white inside so I decided to lay a piece of darker pink which helps because the card is cream.

Here you can see I added some cream and pale pink ribbon the the box lid as well as a small piece of the lace topping off with a little bow and some tiny flowers.

My Family

Today I am sharing a layout for The Mad Scrapper Blog and I am using the final photograph my friend gave me to make her some pages of a recent photo shoot gift she received for her birthday.

As the theme was blue and white I decided to use my last sheet of Boho Soul paper along with flowers from the shop and this Pink Fresh Studio Be Fearless collection which Janine did sell a little while back, maybe you have some of these too. 

I started as always by gathering products I thought I'd use. I did after I took these photos decide to use a chicken wire chipboard from Dusty Attic 

I decided to colour the chipboard using blue acrylic paint but after it dried I thought it looked a bit out on its own so I added dabs of gold paint in places. I also grabbed a couple of stash bits and painted them too. As the title is a gold foil script I decided to mount the photo on some gold.

The stamp set I embossed using gold so everything worked together. When you emboss the image it sure helps with the stencils slotting in to place easily. Here you can see how I added some to the cluster along with paper flowers and leaves. The sub sentiment is from another stamp set which I embossed in gold too.

This next photo shows the bottom cluster made up in the same way as the one above. I add my flowers using hot glue and my photo has foam strips under to balance it with the chipboard.

To finish off I added some pearls and gold pearls in different sizes. One thing I didn't say before but you probably noticed I trimmed the paper to 11 inches one side I tore and inked with gold then tucked the opposite side of the manufacturer strip before adding it to a mint cardstock which I gutted and used some for the first mat on the photo.

Oh Happy Days

 Hi,

Today you find me sharing over at The Mad Scrapper Blog this vacation layout.    I'm using beautiful papers and cut outs from Uniquely Creative from their Oh So Lovely Collection. This collection includes sheets which have cut outs printed on one side the other is patterned and I have cut out the two frames from one of these.

I started with tangerine from the coordinating cardstock pack (these packs a must have, they afford you so much more scope)  then I trimmed down the gingham to 111/2 distressed the edges and added it to it. The central paper I first fussy cut the top floral swag away and trimmed the rest using postal edge scissors to 9  inches. I readded it using foam strips.

A closer look here as well as the other 3 cut outs I placed down with a piece of card under. I had already decided where the frames would go.

Here is a closer look at one fussy cut frame with extra flowers and a butterfly added.

And here is the other frame with the title which I added foam tape under for dimension another butterfly and some tiny flowers finish off the layout.

Today I am sharing a layout I made for my friend who had a photo shoot for her birthday and one of the many photographs she chose was this of her two children. I have made it for The Mad Scrapper Blog as all the papers came from Janine in her store.

As always I've gathered what I think I may use and there is a list at the bottom. This layout uses quite a bit of stash busting because as I am sure you are the same as me I can't throw out half sheets or pretty fussy cut flowers.

I am following a sketch which I spotted on Facebook and I have added it at the bottom. I started with a white sheet and covered the lefthand side with torn sheets in similar shades. I also added a couple of stitched circles and some smooches of distress ink.

I added some vintage 49 and market rubons in yellow at opposite corners as well as a butterfly.

Here you can see the butterfly along with a cluster of Cocoa Vanilla flowers, some hearts and the journaling.

This next photo shows the larger cluster and the title which is from Uniquely Creative, I also raised it on foam strips. To finish off I added some navy rhinestones and pale blue pearls.

Happy Anniversary

 Hi,

I'm joining in today with August 2026 Challenge: Beautiful Backgrounds  over on the Pinkfresh blog. As it says the challenge is to make the most of a background, however it is also a anything goes challenge. Each month the give a theme, a colour selection or the option of anything goes. 

This time around I have made a background using a Dusty Attic stencil because I knew I was making a anniversary card and I didn't have anything from Pinkfresh to use. I did however use their inks to do it.

As you can see I then used the Magnolias stamp set to create my focal image. I stamped and embossed in gold before inking with the same colours as I used for the background but with the addition of the darker shades then I cut it out using the coordinating dies. I did cut out another set for stability.

The large floral is lifted above the rest with some dimensionals and then to finish off I added some gold gems and some tiny green flower gem.

Bees Knees

Hello, 

Today I'm sharing a fun layout from my recent holiday to the USA with family over on The Mad Scrapper Blog 

This was taken at lunch when we attended Meeker Days which is a festival of street vendors and it brings in thousands of people over the weekend who spend money in the local small shops as well as the stalls and the fairground. There is an area for live music too with shows on representing different genres.

The papers were chosen because of the chair back. A list can be found below. I took the pattern paper and gutted out the centre leaving a L shape of 1.5 inches The yellow paper I cut down to 11 inches and distressed the edges then I inked randomly around the page with marmalade through the GeoStar stencil then I added the paper to the patterned to give a finished size of 12 x 12.

I gave the photos pinkish mats to correspond with the drink then I added a orange strip to either side then another pink to one to the left side and another orange but to the right side I gave only the orange and then a patterned one.

Here you can see the ingredients to Karen's drink (it was delicious) along with a little cluster made up with a honeycomb die cut, my last remaining lemon from a Cocoa Vanilla Studio paper and some ditsy flowers I made up.

This next photo shows the journaling and the right side cluster made with another piece of honeycomb die cut, some old 49 and Market tickets and some more of those ditsy flowers.

To finish off I added some flatback sequins, black rhinestones oh and the little bee which Karen gave me on my last visit. I should add Karen absolutely loves Bees.
