Oh Happy Days

 Hi,

Today you find me sharing over at The Mad Scrapper Blog this vacation layout.    I'm using beautiful papers and cut outs from Uniquely Creative from their Oh So Lovely Collection. This collection includes sheets which have cut outs printed on one side the other is patterned and I have cut out the two frames from one of these.

I started with tangerine from the coordinating cardstock pack (these packs a must have, they afford you so much more scope)  then I trimmed down the gingham to 111/2 distressed the edges and added it to it. The central paper I first fussy cut the top floral swag away and trimmed the rest using postal edge scissors to 9  inches. I readded it using foam strips.

A closer look here as well as the other 3 cut outs I placed down with a piece of card under. I had already decided where the frames would go.

And here is the other frame with the title which I added foam tape under for dimension another butterfly and some tiny flowers finish off the layout.

Today I am sharing a layout I made for my friend who had a photo shoot for her birthday and one of the many photographs she chose was this of her two children. I have made it for The Mad Scrapper Blog as all the papers came from Janine in her store.

As always I've gathered what I think I may use and there is a list at the bottom. This layout uses quite a bit of stash busting because as I am sure you are the same as me I can't throw out half sheets or pretty fussy cut flowers.

I am following a sketch which I spotted on Facebook and I have added it at the bottom. I started with a white sheet and covered the lefthand side with torn sheets in similar shades. I also added a couple of stitched circles and some smooches of distress ink.

I added some vintage 49 and market rubons in yellow at opposite corners as well as a butterfly.

Here you can see the butterfly along with a cluster of Cocoa Vanilla flowers, some hearts and the journaling.

This next photo shows the larger cluster and the title which is from Uniquely Creative, I also raised it on foam strips. To finish off I added some navy rhinestones and pale blue pearls.

Happy Anniversary

I'm joining in today with August 2026 Challenge: Beautiful Backgrounds  over on the Pinkfresh blog. As it says the challenge is to make the most of a background, however it is also a anything goes challenge. Each month the give a theme, a colour selection or the option of anything goes. 

This time around I have made a background using a Dusty Attic stencil because I knew I was making a anniversary card and I didn't have anything from Pinkfresh to use. I did however use their inks to do it.

As you can see I then used the Magnolias stamp set to create my focal image. I stamped and embossed in gold before inking with the same colours as I used for the background but with the addition of the darker shades then I cut it out using the coordinating dies. I did cut out another set for stability.

The large floral is lifted above the rest with some dimensionals and then to finish off I added some gold gems and some tiny green flower gem.

Bees Knees

Today I'm sharing a fun layout from my recent holiday to the USA with family over on The Mad Scrapper Blog 

This was taken at lunch when we attended Meeker Days which is a festival of street vendors and it brings in thousands of people over the weekend who spend money in the local small shops as well as the stalls and the fairground. There is an area for live music too with shows on representing different genres.

The papers were chosen because of the chair back. A list can be found below. I took the pattern paper and gutted out the centre leaving a L shape of 1.5 inches The yellow paper I cut down to 11 inches and distressed the edges then I inked randomly around the page with marmalade through the GeoStar stencil then I added the paper to the patterned to give a finished size of 12 x 12.

I gave the photos pinkish mats to correspond with the drink then I added a orange strip to either side then another pink to one to the left side and another orange but to the right side I gave only the orange and then a patterned one.

Here you can see the ingredients to Karen's drink (it was delicious) along with a little cluster made up with a honeycomb die cut, my last remaining lemon from a Cocoa Vanilla Studio paper and some ditsy flowers I made up.

This next photo shows the journaling and the right side cluster made with another piece of honeycomb die cut, some old 49 and Market tickets and some more of those ditsy flowers.

To finish off I added some flatback sequins, black rhinestones oh and the little bee which Karen gave me on my last visit. I should add Karen absolutely loves Bees.

Take Off 2026

 Hello,

Today I'm sharing this layout from my recent holiday in USA with my cousins who live in Washington State.

I always like to take a photo of my plane and send it to my hubby before I board and this time my cousins were ready with their cameras when I came through the doors so I have that memory captured too. I used 49 and Market Travel Diaries for this along with a cream Bazzill sheet to compliment a full list can be found below.

I started by fussy cutting the left hand side of the Around the World paper making sure to be careful around the airplane, then I took the Sheet -1 and cut a 6 inch piece I distressed all edges and inked with vintage photo. I adhered the two together then I added the manufacturer strip to the right hand side.

The Sheet 1 has a faint image of planes with dotted lines from them to I decided to grab a very old Hot off the Press stitch stamp and used it on the cream paper giving a similar idea. The finished size is 9.75 x 11.5 and I decided to add it on an angle.

I decided to add my small bit of journaling to the notebook paper included on the page. I cut small snippets out and added them

I had kept this paper because it had suitcases and holiday ephemera on it and I knew it would come in handy (we all do that don't we?) I also added red white and blue rhinestones around the page.

Both photographs were added to Vintage Artistry Essential 4x6 file frames then lifted with foam strips. The flag was fussy cut from the same paper as the suitcases, I added a little card underneath for a little dimension too. More gems too.

This next photo shows a frame and the tabs close up.

Shades of Summer 3

Here I am again this time to enter my 3rd card for this months July 2026 Challenge: for Pinkfresh Studio and I have decided to share this Get Well card I have made using the Peony Glow Washi Collection.

The idea for the layout came from watching Mindy Eggen last week when she used the Arch dies.

I used the Washi on light white card and brought in some gold foil card for the bottom mat and gold embossing for the sentiment. I am using the cover plates more and this time I used Petal Trellis which I think is my current favourite. I also used peach fuzz to add a little floral image to the white front

of the card. To finish off I added Champagne clear drops.

Shades of Summer 2

 Hello,

Today I am sharing a card I have made to join in with the July 2026 Challenge: Shades of Summer  challenge over at PinkFresh Studio.

I have chosen the colour scheme to make my card today. I also used the Twilight Tales stamp, stencil and die set from PinkFresh for this birthday card too. I found this half sheet of paper in my stash which worked well with it too.

I inked and embossed in silver first and I made two sets. I made a Z fold card this time which allowed me to add more images inside with the verse. I also used a sentiment from the set as well as another from the Rooted in Wonder set. You can also see I used the Bloomlight Stitches cover plate under the image. All inks used were from PinkFresh.

Whirlwind of Cuddles

Today you find me over on The Mad Scrapper Blog with my first layout from my recent vacation in the USA with my cousins.

This layout celebrates the birth of a new grandson for one of my cousins, his name is Myles Matthew and he is a little darling.

I gathered some papers together I knew I wanted to use along with a few other supplies. I decided to fussy cut out sections of the Uplifting Moments page and on to the beige paper I used Tea Dye distress ink through the stencil and around all 4 outer edges. Then I took a small script stamp by Prima and using grey ink I stamped around the page.

Here you can see the top swag which I added foam strips towards the edges for dimension, you can also see the stamp better too. For those of you with this paper you can see it has some script printed on to it.

I printed the photographs small so I could add quite a few to a page, these I matted on to a basket weave paper before adhering to the page. I fussy cut balloons with bunting and added them around the page (these were on the B side of this paper) That is nana and grandad, myself and Myles big brother Cammer holding him.

This photograph shows mum and dad as they are just about to leave for the hospital (3pm)  believe it or not she gave birth to Myles around 6pm!

To finish of I added 3 small heart gems in pale blue, I also distressed the outer edges of the paper.

July Challenge Card

 Hello,

 Today I'd like to share a card I have made to entre in to July 2026 Challenge: Shades of Summer – Pinkfresh Studio challenge.

As the name states the challenge is to make a care using either the suggested colours or images that give that summer feel. I have used the colours suggested but also I feel a lovely summery floral scene.

The card is a big 6 x 8 top folding card and I have inked through a stencil with the colours added it to the card front and on to that I cut a oval which I stacked and in to the centre I added a smaller oval.

The flowers are from the Cheerful Blossoms Collection, I also used Winter Berries Frame Collection and the sentiment is from You Are My Rainbow collection.

The oval frame is cut in a pearlescent card which looks so pretty in real life. I added clear gems to the centre of the flowers and pale pink pearls are dotted about the card.

Today you can find me on The Mad Scrapper Blog with this lovely family holiday snap taken a just a couple of weeks ago. It is my sister and her family on holiday in Portugal.

So as always I start by gathering my possible supplies together, as always this can change multiple times before we are finished! As you can see I have mostly chosen the gorgeous oh so lovely  collection by Uniquely Creative.

I took a sheet of cloud from another collection and used 3 distress inks smooching them on the paper in my desired places

I took the Oh Pretty Things paper and fussy cut out the centre floral design adhering to the cloud paper with copious amounts of foam tape. As you can see I made sure the purple splats were where the orange area on the paper fell and so the same with the orange splats.

Even though there is still plenty of the florals etc to see on the paper after I added the photograph I still decided to add more on top using the Creative Cuts from the collection.

This photo shows just the addition of a butterfly along with some coloured glue dots in corresponding colours.

Here I added one of the bulldog clips to a mini envelope and tucked it behind the photograph along with the mail stamp and a few tiny florals.

This last photograph shows the title another butterfly and a mini sun. To finish off the layout I went around adding more coloured glue both on the centre and around the outside of the page.

Floating Flowers

 Hi, today I’m joining in with the June Pinkfresh Studio monthly challenge. 

I’ve made this card using the Peony Glow washi tape on to white cardstock along with the dies. Then I used the Braided Tag cutting gold glitter card. I cut out several sentiments but decided in this one.

I added the tag on to a mat after using the Stitched Octagon giving it a gold mat too. The sentiment is added to a velum shadow. A few enamel dots finished it off.

Today you find me over on  The Mad Scrapper Blog sharing this lovely layout using papers available in store. A full list can be found below.

This is another photograph of my sisters granddaughter, she is so adorable.

Here we go starting with my usual gathering of products I think I may use today. After selecting these gorgeous papers from Uniquely Creative I felt I needed some brightness so I grabbed the cut apart sheet from Dressed in Daydreams collection 

I decided to add a couple of strips of the pink so I cut into the main paper 2 inches from the top and bottom. I distressed all the cut edges of the main paper and added some hand stitching then I added the pink strip to the top under both. For the bottom pink one I decided I would add some postage cutting allowing it to come over the top of the bottom piece. Once it was all dry I trimmed it down to 12 x 12.

I put the photo on to a coral mat rounding off the edges. Then I cut two cover plates one in the pink the other in the mint, off setting them slightly. Then I added back in the cut away pieces I thought it gave a cute effect 

There are journal cards and extra ephemera to cut out on the Afternoon Breeze sheet and I cut the bow and stacked it on to the birdhouse. In the end I didn't like the postage edge so I covered it up with a manufacturer strip I kept from a previous paper, I just loved the butterflies and the colours were similar to those of the papers. The cup and 7 day a week are from the same ephemera sheet.

As there were butterflies on the paper I decided to add these two huge ones I saved from a old 49 and Market paper (I knew I'd find a use for them) I used one of the four journal card to write on.

Here is the other butterfly, I also added a rub-on as I thought it picked up the sweetie tucked into the flower cluster. The yellow star and pink circle are from my stash and they are a nod to the foamy sweets on top of the cream. The title is also from the ephemera sheet.

As I mentioned I grabbed another cut apart sheet for more flowers, I used the Dressed in Daydreams sheet it also has a couple of mushrooms and I decided to tuck one in there, well why not! Generally when I add florals I used hot glue because it gives a little hight if you like it that way. To finish off I added a few clear rhinestones.
